Of all the contractors I was dealing with while getting my new (but very old) house set up for moving in, Mike was by far the best. He was extremely responsive, always very prompt, and provided a very reasonable estimate. It was very refreshing given the struggles I had to get other people scheduled to do the rest of the work!
I had him patch several holes caused by the electrical rewire (I think there were around 20), and also add a new wall in a coat closet. He came and did the work exactly when he said he would. He required no up front payment, and told me to pay only once I was happy with the work (which I was!). He also sent me a text to tell me to buy a faucet cover for the outside faucet so it wouldn’t freeze. Totally unrelated to the plaster work, so I appreciated that he was looking out for the rest of the house as well!

I had Mike out to take a look at the exterior finish (pebble dash) of my home which is old and in need of patching. I was going to have the entire side stripped and refinished until Mike told me that it was not necessary which saved me thousands. Turns out it isn’t as bad as I thought and I can make a few patches myself.
Mike seems like an honest guy which is hard to find these days.

I was very impressed with Mike as he arrived promptly and prepared. He listened to what I wanted and set to work, completing the plaster project I needed in a very short time! There were other plaster contractors who came through with much much higher bids (nearly 10x!). One thing about plaster jobs is some contractors can get carried away. But Mike narrowed the scope and gave us the biggest bang for our buck. I have worked with many contractors and have a very high bar. I plan on hiring him again and highly recommend him!

To summarize Mike and his work I would say prompt, professional, clean, great craftsmanship, and a great price. We recently had the knob and tubing electrical replace in our 1911 house and were left with dozens of holes in our plaster walls. Mike came out immediately to give an estimate and sent the detailed quote by email. We were on a tight schedule and he was able to do the repairs immediately, came exactly when he said he would, and the repairs look fantastic. Also, after dealing with multiple contractors in our house I was really impressed with how clean he left everything once he was done. Before he left he gave detailed instructions about maintenance of the patched for painting. I would highly recommend Mike at Allied Plaster.

My husband and I are currently in the process of renovating and expanding our basement of our 1928 craftsman. We hired Mike and his team at Allied Plastering to plaster a cinderblock wall to match the adjoining finished wall. They did a beautiful job and the «old» and «new» portions blend together seamlessly. We are very pleased! The pricing was very reasonable and Mike’s friendly customer service made the entire transaction a real pleasure!
