Beautiful area. This is one of my favorite places in Seattle. Amazing view of the puget sound especially during a sunset. I have came to this location since I was a kid and loved walking along this beach! Parking is reserved for residents only, yet the last few times I’ve stopped by that wasn’t a problem.

Maybe you like to look at maps. I do, and years ago I spotted this sizable leech-shaped green mass on the map of Seattle. It’s an out of the way place in the Southwestern corner of the city, and surrounded by residences. Finally my curiosity got the better of me and while visiting friends recently I took a walk to find this park. King County Parks owns Arroyos Natural Area, but as a park it is completely undeveloped. I didn’t see any trails, and the only signage was for a planting of vegetation on a steep slope. Parking is minimal, and there isn’t much to do. What I don’t get about this place is the beach — a pretty decent stretch of public beach is here, but how does one access it? The road ends at a private residence with no trespassing signs, and if the maps and county website are to be believed that one house blocks the way to the Public Access Point. A beach of this size wouldn’t bear much recreational pressure, but it’s a shame that it’s near impossible to access. The rest of the natural area is steep hillside, and not much to write home about. If anyone else knows how to access the beach, please let me know, the most practical way I can think of is by boat.
