Fucking amazing. There are no words that will do their food justice. I don’t understand how it is so good every time. I wish only that they didn’t sell out so fast of things. Sooo goooood

I arrived at Nouveau this morning excited for leisurely time to eat a crossiant and sip some coffee(my favorite way to spend a Friday morning while my kiddo is in preschool)…unfortunately I was greeted by a rude girl behind the pastry counter, an extra crispy, overbaked Almond crossiant, and no where to sit and relax. I did give two stars because my latte was just about perfect(even though I had to take it to go with no where to sit). I’ve definitely had better here in the past. I will be going elsewhere in the future where I will be treated like a human.

Visiting here for years. Always a fantastic treat. Just try to get in before their selections for the day are sold out. The California clubs are amazing.

This bakery is reminescent of what you’d find in Europe. With an assortment of pastries, sandwiches, chocolate, etc., from the sweet to the savory, they have what will hit the spot. The chocolate croissants are a must! The flaky layers of butter-infused goodness with a touch of chocolate are perfection. Also, try the croque monsieur! Quick and friendly service makes for easy take away. However, I do wish that there was more seating.

A fat girl’s heaven on earth! Ordered to go. The Caprese sandwich was dinner later in the day and was perfectly balanced with mozzarella, basil, tomatoes and pesto. Dessert was the éclair. Finger lickin good! I’m so glad I don’t live anywhere near this bakery or it would mean new pants weekly. Definitely recommend!

This is one of the best bakeries I have ever frequented. Friendly staff. Plenty of room for standing in line. And the pastries! I have tried the Kringle(sweet and flaky and surprisingly awesome), the twice baked almond croissant(amazing and best for sharing with coffee), the pear tart(not too sweet with a perfect pear), the ham and cheese croissant(I don’t do meat but my friends seemed happy with that), and the most beautiful smoked salmon pastry in the shape of a fish. We also got four macarons for my partner’s birthday. The blood orange was a slightly tart treat. The Earl Grey was a revelation. So amazing.

Bakery Nouveau is a bakery nestled in West Seattle along California Ave. It is the cutest little bakery with deliciousness behind its store front. It is a Paris-like bakery with items like croissants, brioche, macaroons, and the most beautiful desserts I have set my eyes on. The staff are friendly and efficient! The atmosphere is very calm and has low key coffee house flair. THESECROISSANTSARETHEBESTONES I HAVEHADINTHESTATES. Last year my mom, sister and I were lucky enough to visit France and taste its famous delicacies, *cough*cough* SOMANYCROISSANTS. The croissants at Bakery Nouveau are buttery, flakey, and straight perfection for your taste buds. West Seattle is ten to fifteen minutes outside of downtown Seattle. Do your taste buds a favor and visit this amazing bakery. I had a latte, chocolate croissant, quiche Lorraine, and 3 macaroons(the pistachio and raspberry are amazing, but which ever flavor floats your boat you can’t go wrong). The coffee is smooth to drink and pretty bombass way to start or finish your day(or even keep your day going). Bakery Nouveau is a must visit while in Seattle and I can’t wait to return here again.(5th trip this visit)

As pastries goes. It’s good, but in context of what is out available in West Seattle it’s great. The service is rebel alliance organized– a hipstery«I’m doing you a favor» retail experience. What really takes away from enjoying this place– the line. The space is small– so on a cold or rainy day(and this is Seattle) — the line tends to overcome the tiny floor. So. Strictly a take and go place experience for me. I wouldn’t go here if not for my Wife dragging me to get Almond croissant. Oh and folks. Leave the kids — unless they’re paying.

After hearing about Bakery Nouveau from friends and other Unilocalers, I stopped in to try it out. I believe I stopped in on a bad night, and I will give them another try the next time I’m at the junction as my experience was nothing like what I have seen and heard. I came in on 12÷12÷15 in the evening, about 5 pm. The first thing I noticed was the near empty display cases. They had some croissants, a couple pastries that were new to me and some cookies that looked like hockey pucks. That was it. I looked for the almond croissant I’ve heard so much about and didn’t see any. There were two ladies working, and one asked feverishly, «What do you want?» Not the best way to ask how to help someone. I mumbled I was just looking. No menu board on the wall or anywhere else I could find one, this tiny, tiny, tiny bakery with three tables and no food was flummoxing me. I thought about ordering a beverage just to try that out but didn’t see anything in sight. The one employee that acknowledged me disappeared and the other employee was busy with the other only customers, a dad and his two kids that were running back and forth to decide on which hard cookie they wanted. Was it a full moon? Did the baker call in sick? Are they in the middle of remodeling? I can rate a quiche that someone brought to work that they ordered from here. It was a 2 out of 5 stars. It really needed salt and something else to give it some flavor. Parking in this neighborhood could be improved. There’s never an empty spot on the street but there are paid lots nearby. If you blink on the sidewalk while walking to this place, you’ll miss it. The storefront is the width of my home’s front door. Inside, it would be called cozy by a motivated real estate agent. I wouldn’t recommend bringing people here due to how small it is and lack of seating. The next time that I’m in the neighborhood, I’ll stop by and see if there’s something to try to give them another shot. Service: 2 Ambiance: 2 Food: 2 Parking: 2

Best cakes around because everything is baked daily. Buy up everything you want because the person behind you will! The fish croissant with salmon is a family favorite.

Holy cod, I’ve hit the jackpot. It’s dangerous for my wallet that I live across the street from this place. Honestly I could cut this review short because you can’t go wrong with anything at this place. Everything tastes great, whether it be sweet or savory. Spicy pork pizza — How does pizza taste so good from a bakery?! The spicy pork sausage toppings was served on a soft cheesy crust. It might even beat Talarico’s across the street. Deep dish Sicilian — Oh baby, this thing is like a pie but you can still eat it with your hands. Not the true Chicago style but good enough! Make sure to request it to be heated up. Macarons — Cassis was a blend of a dark currant but it wasn’t too strong. The taste was pretty light. The earl grey macaron could be a bit stronger in tea taste but the earl grey is still there. Yuzu was probably my favorite, if you haven’t had this flavor, get it! Quiche Lorraine — This one’s filled with bacon and it’s smooth and creamy. You could tell they probably mashed a bajillion eggs in here. I’ve got no problem with that! Spinach Quiche — Just as good as Lorrraine just without the bacon. Croque Monsieur — Savory and cheesy with generous slices of ham. It’s pretty much the classic French sandwich. Pot de Crème — Light in texture but heavy in flavor. It’s not too sweet, I would say it’s a semi dark chocolate. Phoenix Cake — If I had to choose what kind of cake I want for my birthday next year, this is it. Not only was it soft and gooey, there was a lovely chocolate nougat center which was a quite the pleasant surprise as I ate my way to the middle. The passionfruit taste is pretty strong and it works really well with the mousse like texture. LOVE. Pistachio & Cassis cake — Oh man, another great one. Again super soft and gooey and the nougat is practically the cherry on top. Double baked Almond Croissant — The softness, the almonds, the nuts, this was one of the best croissants I’ve had. Definitely not to be missed. Double baked Chocolate Almond Croissant — I would skip this one and get the regular one because there wasn’t much chocolate in it at all. It was basically a drizzle of it on the outside. Nothing on the inside. It’s so hard to choose what to get here because everything is amazing, but I would say the cakes cannot be missed! P. S. The macarons here are $ 2 a pop! Practically a steal for what I’ve paid in New York, Brussels, Paris and Copenhagen! They do not taste cheap at all and you’re definitely getting your bang for buck.

WHATTOSAYABOUTTHEIRTWICEBAKEDALMONDCROISSANT??? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it is THEE best… I have yet to find any other croissant in Seattle that surpasses the original bakery nouveau location’s almond croissant!!! I don’t know if they just use TONS of butter, or some extra special puff pastry flour, or if its the twice baked deal? but omgod it is SOGOOD. No exaggeration. When my friend first took me here, she said«be ready for the best croissant you’ll ever have.» I thought, sure, how good can a croissant be. But omg she was right. I brought my parents here too and my mom is also in love with their croissants. She too loves the almond one the most but we really do love all their pastries. their macarons– not so much. That is not their specialty… as it tastes like bread and not the amazing soft french macaron we know. but it’s ok because I’m still giving a 5 star based on everything else. I literally want to go drive up to West Seattle right now and get me a croissant…

I rarely go to this location but when I do, it’s on the weekend. You’ll know you’re there when you see the line stretching out the door. Each person excitedly thinking of what they will buy. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I always ask for the big box. Let’s be honest, we all know I’m going to need it. Pastry could well be the love of my life. I blame pastry for my horrendous weight gain over the last year. My weakness is anything flaky, preferably with a bit of fruit or chocolate. Also high on my list are unique flavors of macarons. If you buy me a kouign amann, I’m your friend for life! This type of buttery, rich goodness is what led to my fat-assery. When I feel like being a bit healthier, I go for the pear danish. Because… pear is a fruit and all. It’s an adorable pastry shaped like a pear. The delicate pear and flaky croissant dough gets me every time. Somehow, I always convince myself that it’s okay to eat a chocolate croissant when that voice tells me not to get the kougin amann. Sitting is not an option for me since it’s so crowded. It’s not really fun to watch the line since you’ve already stood in it for quite some time. Staff are efficient and friendly. It’s people like me that hold up the line by impulse buying everything I see and going home sheepishly with a box of pastry. Mine! All mine!

Used to love Bakery Nouveau, quality is not as good as it used to be, and service, specially on weekends is lousy at best. I was lucky today, the barista and a couple of their staff members working today have been there for a few years and service was outstanding, but most of the crew is new and lack«work ethics». The Apricot Danish was good, and do was the cream Cheese Danish, their Kouign Amann was too sugary, I think I like crumble & flakes better, and the California Club croissant sandwich was only ok. Coffee was absolutely delicious, the barista that made my coffee takes a lot of pride in making a perfect latte. They use organic free trade Lighthouse coffee.

Wow. Delicious. Heard lots of wonderful things about this bakery located in West Seattle. The staff is very knowledge about their baked goods. Their café Americano was also delicious. Although their cakes seam pricey I bet they are delicious. Would definitely recommend and will be stopping In again when I am in west Seattle. Parking is on the street. Several tables and chairs. While I was there the customer traffic was constant. We ordered a pistachio dessert, some macaroons(they had at least 10 different flavored). We also ate a wonderful pastry that was similar and flakey like a croissant. Also picked up an apple flaky pastry for a friend.

Noticed this was a very popular place on Unilocal and since it was in walking distance decided to give if a try. It’s a pretty busy place but service is fast and friendly. Got a pistachio and Lavender macaroon and small chocolates. The pistachio macaroon was wonderful, the lavender was okay. We tried two of the little chocolates, a mint and salted caramel. These little chocolates are full of taste. The mint tasted like they used a real mint leaf and was quite strong. The salted caramel was very salty! They weren’t good or bad, just different. I would definitely stop by if in the area again to try something else. You can sit inside but it’s not very quiet because there are a lot of people waiting in line. They have a few small tables outside which are better cause you can get away from the crowd. Nice place to check out.

Located in West Seattle, so you’ll need a car to get to this place, if you are staying in the downtown Seattle area; although I am told that they have another location closer to Downtown Seattle. Their twice baked anything is worth an investigation; even if the coffee is just ok. We arrived during a lull; which was great as we were served quickly and promptly. The husband picked up their twice baked almond croissant and I got their raspberry croissant blossom thingie(I forgot the actual name). I am not sure what it was, but it was sooo good. Just raspberries with a crispy, flaky layers with a raspberry cream mixed with an almond paste baked into the middle layers. It had just enough different textures to keep it interesting without overwhelming each other. Now, if I lived in Seattle, I would probably try and come here as often as I found myself in the neighborhood — but not 100% coming out of my way to visit. However, as a tourist, I totally would make this place a stop on the eating myself silly tour.
