Ballard Auto Detailing at Mac’s Upholstery

This company thinks it’s funny and ethically sound to spray homeless people with water and flood their belongings overnight. They informed a neighbor that their intention is not only to deter homeless people with a little water, but to actually destroy what few belongings these people might have by soaking and flooding them while they’re gone. When a reporter likened this to treating people like stray cats, the owner happily embraced the analogy. With such low regard for human beings, there’s no way I’ll ever spend my money here or trust these moral degenerates with my property.

As you can see from a recent Seattle Weekly piece (
), Mac’s is interested in wasting gallons of water by spraying down everything that people experiencing homelessness own. I expect the businesses where I spend my money to have compassion for all members of our community. Mac’s has shown the exact opposite, and gleefully so. I will no longer patronize this establishment.

John did an excellent job with our Volvo station wagon! Interior, exterior, tires — he did it all. The car hadn’t been cleaned in probably 10 years, I didn’t think it was possible to get all the dirt, dog hair, and grime out, but he did!

Our Toyota Sequoia unfortunately had raw egg spilled on some of the interior carpet and still had an odor after our efforts to clean it up. John hit it hard with an overnight treatment and hard work along with a complete detail and we felt like we were driving a new car. In short order I had him work on our 4Runner, Mastercraft Boat and Harley Davidson. I was very pleased with all his work as well as his offer to send a reminder for a touch up in 6 months. Perhaps the main reason I appreciate John is because I completely trust him. He is a man of integrity and if and when there is a question in the quality of work he will make it right!

John did a wonderful job with my late model maxima. He brought it back to life with his attention to detail, and made the black paint pop!!! Will be taking my car to him from now on and recommend all do the same. A solid local business.

I was excited to find a shop so close to home that was reasonably priced. I just wanted the interior of my work car done as I have guests from out of town that I would be carting around.
I dropped the car off at 8:30 and picked it up at 11:30. It was done ahead of schedule which was nice. John, the detailer was professional and seemed like a nice guy.
What John did detail was good enough though I wouldn’t say excellent. He however missed several spots on the interior which I pointed out to him and he addressed. He didn’t however clean the inside of the windows or vacuum underneath the seats or floor mats in the back. Frankly for a detail shop it was a pretty poor job. It’s the kind of job I would expect at a car wash for $ 50 bucks but not a «detail shop» for $ 150.
John did offer to give me some free services to make up for what he admitted was sub par work, but after such a poor trial run I didn’t trust him to do a good job or want him working on any of my other cars. Especially the nicer ones.
