This is one of the nicest co-working spaces in Seattle. There are several start-ups that work here, along with established companies like Genki Sushi, LaMarzocco, and PaymentGear. They also host several non-profit fundraisers and learning events for the community. It’s a very professional and encouraging community to be a part of.

I’ve been to Ballard Labs for after-work events, and I think it’s an incredibly cool space. I’ve been in the area of the Labs to the right when you walk in, so if there’s more than that, I can’t exactly comment. I love the design of the space. The open floor plan surrounded by glass-door rooms means that those who need sound-privacy have it, while still retaining the open feeling and friendliness of the workspace. Additionally, they have common areas, and the way desks are organized makes the«cubicles» feel decidedly less cubically. The southern view undoubtedly lets in lots of the Seattle sunlight(when we have it), and probably makes it one of the few places where you can work without risking Vitamin D deficiency. As for after-hours, the long tables are perfect for small events, and I’ve always found it to be a nice place to spend time.
