I have been going to Ballard sheet metal works for over 11 years and never had a bad experience! The craftsmen they employee have a level of expertise the is hard to find now days and shops like this are a dying breed .
If you need high quality custom metal done or your great grandmas antique lantern fixed Ballard sheet metal works is the only place to go

These guys have been great. I have been impressed with their professionalism, timeliness and pricing for a couple of jobs and I highly recommend them. I am not a professional (and don’t know a whole lot about metal and fabrication) but these folks have taken the time to walk me through different options for my applications, and I have been more than happy with the result.

Unreliable, not on time, they lack any sort of communication
I am a sub contractor who works in construction, when I say I know the in’s and outs, I know
the in’s and outs. These guys are really lazy.
The economy is booming, I get that, everyone is busy, I get that. When the tougher times come, and they will, I will remember to call Metal Masters or Allied Steel.
If you get the opportunity to work with a gentlemen named KAP, you must run as he does not
really have a clue on how to communicate.
I tried to not make this review personal, but these guys need some help with their staff
I would like to see the owner respond to this, his company lost at least 25K — 35K worth of work
from me, and I will also be putting their name thru the shitter with the other contractors I work with

I recently had a custom stainless steel countertop made by Ballard Sheet Metal. If you want something fast & cheap this is not the place to go but if you want quality and are willing to wait your turn this shop is the best. They were very courteous & professional at explaining the work to be done, all the choices and the costs for the different weights. I did some on-​line research and found their price in line with the national average. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone wanting a quality product.

I had heard good things from a couple of different cabinet people so we went with them for our kitchen backsplash.

I had Ballard Sheet Metal fabricate a part for the steering vane on my sailboat. It was a last minute job before we sailed to Mexico for a year so I didn’t find the problems till we were way down the coast. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong with the manufacture of this part did. From the drilling of the wrong size holes to not having the holes in the upper flange line up with the holes in the bottom flange, to the welds failing off the coast of Mexico (we had a welder in La Paz reweld it and he said that air got into the previous weld). If I didn’t have a safety line attached to the rudder, we would have lost it. I spent over $ 300 for this part and it failed miserably. So I can not recommend using Ballard Sheet Metal for any custom fabrication.

Designed a fireplace surround and had it Fabricated here. beautiful job, very professional and helpful. Pricing is excellent. This place is a contractor’s secret!
