Opt for the bahn mi on rice, especially with the lemongrass pork. For me, one of the nicest meals on campus. You get quite a lot of pork, with ample veggies and rice to supplement your lunch. The taste is very authentic, and will leave you satisfied and craving for more. The pork meat has just the right amount of fat to not leave you grossed, but still makes the meal delicious

A decent on-campus option for students. They specialize in curry and Vietnamese sandwiches, which is an interesting combination. The curry here is O.K. I tried a little bit of the Tikka Masala. Visually it looks fine, and texturally it’s pretty nice, but in terms of flavor it’s a little bland, and it’s hard to eat the entire meal without getting really bored and tired of it. It tastes a little bit like the microwavable kind of tikka masala you can get at a grocery store. The banh mi on the other hand, is actually pretty decent. I always get the lemongrass pork, but I can’t imagine the other options being that different. The meat is pretty tender and well-seasoned, with my only gripe being that there some pieces of fat that are overly chewy and inedible. The bread is good, and the slaw, which includes carrots, cucumber, and jalepenos, is vibrant and adds a lot of flavor to the sandwich. It’s a surprisingly decent sandwich for a restaurant on campus. In terms of price, expect to spend around the same amount as the other Husky Den options, so around 6 – 7 dollars without a drink. I’m a little disappointed that they don’t have complementary hoisin sauce, or else I might come here a lot more often.
