Best Western Plus Executive Inn

Here was the worst experience I have ever had at a motel due primarily to their lack of interest in resolving my family’s complaint about a drunken, verbally abusive woman in the next room yelling obscenities every few minutes, directed first st her guy but eventually through the door at us.
The staff allowed this to persist despite my repeated objections, and the last manager I spoke with equated us as simply having some back and forth, although my only direct action with these nasty, possibly meth-​head neighbors was to rap on the door between our rooms once before calling the manager.
They took no decisive action, even though this persisted into the night. I actually slept on the floor, so I could be as far away from the noise as possible. These people did not care.
When I tried to check out, they told me to wait an hour or so for the convenience of housekeeping.
If you go to this motel after reading this, you deserve what you get.

Avoid if possible. Certainly not what I was expecting. We stayed here one night on the last day of our trip. King bed with needle view. First of all, please don’t let that «view» sucker you. We were on the second floor and the view. Hahaha give me a break. See pics. The room was disgusting. I stepped on a shard of glass by the bed — that led to many moments of concern. You know the fancy towel folding art next to the sink? Huge black curly hair sticking out of it. How do you miss something like that. Very outdated. The wall paper in the bathroom was stained just enough to provide the entertainment of focusing and refocusing your eyes on the spots while utilizing the commode. Moldy smell. The desk chair was sticky. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the plastic headboard rattled every time a movement was made. It’s a convenient location however the charge for parking is similar to public rates. They had a promotion where guests revived half off museum rates for the month of February. I had to ask the desk clerk about it, to which she just tossed a card at me without any explanation. Can I mention again how outdated the place is? The carpet, the wallpaper, the ghosts of grandmas past. Horrible service, horrible price, horrible atmosphere. 2 stars because of potential (is that even a rating factor?)

Spent a weekend in Seattle recently and found this gem with affordable rates and a great view of the space needle. The room was fine, nothing special but more than what I needed. The staff was kind and patient. I didn’t even notice that I left my glasses on the night stand when I checked out, but they found them and mailed them to me within a few days on their dime. They need to change their Unilocal photo that depicts a dumpster however because this place is definitely not a dump. I had a great comfortable stay and I’d come back anytime I’m in Seattle.

Great place to stay for our quick visit. Everyone was amazing and very informative of the area.

This is not the Hilton or the Westin, but for the price, I have to give it five stars. Good front desk service, clean and comfortable, and centrally located. A great price for downtown Seattle. Parking is expensive at $ 15 a night but that’s just downtown any big city.

Below I have listed the pros and cons of this hotel, as I see them. I wish 3 ½ stars would be an option, but I went with four stars instead of three because the price was so reasonable against other hotels in the area.
Pros:
As mentioned above even after paying for parking and breakfast the overall price the hotel was still considerably less than others in the area. The hotel is in walking distance of the space needle, and very close to pikes market. My room had a city view, rather than the space needle view, but it was still nice. The parking was underground, and secured with a gate that required a room key to open. Parking was $ 15 a day, which was about half the price of other hotels in the area. The room came with a nice list of restaurants that frequently deliver to the hotel. The hotel has a workout/​laundry facility, and the room had a microwave and refrigerator. The beds were clean and comfortable.
Cons:
The carpet in the room, while basically clean, was warn down and old. The window couldn’t be opened and the air conditioner would randomly shut off and needed to be restarted a few times. The furniture was very old and badly needed to be replaced. The biggest problem I encountered was in the bathroom. It was extremely small and if you were inside the bathroom and you wanted to get out you had to basically flatten yourself against the wall, open the door, and step over the toilet to get out of the room. The door would only open about halfway before hitting the tub. It was one of the oddest layouts I had ever seen. If it wasn’t for the price the bathroom layout would have lowered my overall rating to three stars.
Neutral:
The breakfast buffet was about eight dollars per person not including tax. The food was about what you’d expect from a continental breakfast with a waffle maker. It was just OK, decent if you were looking for a breakfast before hitting the road. Not quite sure it was worth eight dollars though.
All things considered I would stay here again. The price was significantly less than other hotels that were less than conveniently located to major landmarks. If the Decour of the ring is important to you I would stay elsewhere. If you’re more interested in a good nights sleep at a reasonable price this is the hotel for you.

Location was awesome. walking distance to the EMP and Chihuly Gardens (Space Needle too – we just didn’t go there). Interior was nothing special – slightly outdated and could use some renovation. Wi-​Fi was alright. No free breakfast, but they let us leave our bags behind for a few hours after we checked out.

Room:
Overall the room needs an update. The carpet is ripping and stained and there are areas on the wall where the wall paper came of and was just patched with another piece. The baseboards were pulling up and cracked in some places. We got a view of the Space Needle which was cool, but you do have to pay extra for that.
Staff:
I’ve never been to a hotel where the front desk doesn’t even acknowledge you when you walk in and out. Not even a smile! We went down to the bar for happy hour on a Friday night and there was not a soul in there. Not even a bartender… We waited about 5 minutes before she finally showed up. She was very nice once she was there. Probably the best employee we encountered in our stay.
Overall the hotel was just OK, the only thing that sort of makes up for everything is the proximity to the Space Needle. I think I’d look for a different place to stay next time I’m in the city.

I stayed here for two nights in Seattle mainly for the location and it was totally worth it! You are literally a block away from Seattle Center — AKA the Space Needle, the Seattle Monorail and much much more! It’s an older building, and you can tell the minute you step into the elevator. The rooms are decent in size and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were able to store our luggage in a secured space since our flight home was after check-​out. Everyone we interacted with was able to answer our questions about how to navigate through the city. Didn’t have any issues noise wise or with other guests. We felt safe and secure. Would recommend for a budget hotel room in a popular area.

While this hotel looks a little bit like an institutional throwback, the interior has been recently remodeled. Despite the building being older and therefore having a drop ceiling in the hallways, the elevators being older, and the bathrooms having low ceilings, everything is well put together and serviceable. The bathroom lighting felt a bit dark, or perhaps it was the color temperature of the bulb or lack of multiple lighting sources at the mirror that made it sometimes difficult to see detail while grooming. The bed was comfortable, and plenty of well-​stuffed pillows were very much appreciated. It was also nice to have a television that was directly connected to cable TV, no hotel channel or weird, slow interactive guide to try to navigate out of, but the sleep button on my remote control didn’t work. The dorm-​style refrigerator and microwave oven come in very handy for leftovers after a night out. The breakfast buffet was inexpensive and had a wide variety of hot and cold foods as well as drinks; everything was also available to build a breakfast burrito as well as two flavors of waffle batter. The hotel is located blocks from the Space Needle, EMP, and more, while still being a bit out of the way so there was no traffic noise. I did notice that I could hear occupants in the next room at times through the closed adjoining door. On-​site parking is inexpensive as well. There was no stale smell that older buildings will often have.

I attended a conference at the Best Western and stayed for two nights. First of all, I was very impressed by the location. It’s about a two minute walk from the EMP and Space Needle. I came from the airport, and I was able to take the light rail to Westlake Center and then hop on the Monorail to get to Seattle Center. It cost all of $ 5.25 total to get to the inn.
The folks at the front desk were very nice. I greatly appreciated that they were able to get me checked in before 1pm though the stated check-​in time is 4.
In my room, I checked everything out early on and found that the old hairdryer didn’t work consistently and had a horrible burnt smell. I told the front desk and ten minutes later the repairman was at my room. I was impressed when he installed a whole new hairdryer.
I didn’t eat at Brella’s Restaurant inside, but I was genuinely surprised by the awesomeness of the food they served for the conference events. In all seriousness, I recently attended a formal dinner at a resort in Arizona, and the food that this Best Western served up was far superior to what I had at the resort! We were all raving about it afterward.
I appreciated the Seattle Times at my door each morning. The check-​out process was a breeze, too.
This Best Western may look a bit worn down, but don’t judge by appearances. I wouldn’t mind staying here again on a return trip to Seattle.

I’ve learned to not get my hopes up with hotels. I kept my expectations low, considering this was a Best Western and not a Hilton. During my last trip to Seattle, I was pleasantly surprised.
I booked a Space Needle-​facing room on
and requested the top floor of the hotel, if possible. We actually got it and it was totally worth it. A beautiful, Instagram-​worthy view of the Needle and the EMP Museum (which is really pretty at night, since it changes colors). Only complaint about the room was that the chair had a hole in the armrest from wear and tear. Other than that, everything was a-​okay.
Location is awesome — especially if you don’t have a car. The Space Needle + all the other attractions around it are a 5 – 10 minute walk away. The Seattle Monorail is also there. It runs every 10 minutes and gets you to downtown/​Pikes Place Market/​5^th Avenue shopping in less than 5. If you DO have a car, parking is $ 15/​night (BOO).
Staff was all really nice. Best of all, every afternoon, they roll out a cart into the lobby with a mini oven and bake FRESH COOKIES.

It was clean.
It has free Wi-​Fi and workout room.

This has been a great place to stay. From the moment we walked in the door, the front desk lady greeted us with a smile and was super friendly. She made an effort to find out why we were here, and how she could help. She also had a few different rooms for us to choose from. The cleaning staff was friendly with extra coffee in the hallway. We left for the day and when we returned, the cleaning person had made up my daughters bed with her blanket and stuffies. Super sweet. I recommend this place to anyone.

Stayed here when I was visiting Seattle and I thought it was a decent hotel. It’s not a super fancy hotel but I thought it was a lot better than many budget hotels.
It was a really good location for what I had planned on my stay. The hotel was literally a couple blocks from the Space needle so it was walk-​able if you want to go there, EMP museum and the Chihuly gardens. We had the perfect view of the Space Needle too! It also was about 1.5 miles from Pike Market place. We were able to walk to Lola and then Pike market from there. Granted, we were pretty tired after we visited Pike Market place, but it really gave us a chance to soak up Seattle. Pretty much all the touristy attractions were walk-​able distance.
The room came with the basic amenities. I really liked that there was a microwave and fridge in the room for your leftovers and what not. I loved that they had a soap dispenser too haha. And if you know me. you know I’ll judge their water pressure and it was EXCELLENT!!! Definitely a plus! However, parking was about $ 20 a night with ins and outs.
Service wasn’t the best here. but that’s fine since I wasn’t at the hotel that much, just a place to wind down and relax after a long day. I would probably stay here again if I ever visit Seattle.

Yes the hotel ain’t no trump hotel but as far as affordable hotels goes this place was really great.
My room over looked the space needle and at night it’s actually really pretty. The rooms have heater and cable which means if your trying to rest on a winters night, you’re good to go!
There is a 24 hour fitness room next to the lobby which has one of each basic machines. It is the same room as the laundry facilities but everytime I went it was empty.
The only reason it is not a 5 star is because the front desk service was inconsistent. We were promised two different things from different people, each telling us of different policy they had to follow. Ultimately it worked out but initially we were left confused…
Other than that the hotel is at a great location. There is a 24 hour walgreens and dive bar in close proximiry so late night needs are all accounted for! Plus the two malls downtown are less than a mile away so totally walkable from hotel!

Stayed for one night when my parents and I came up to check out a school. Lobby was nice, staff was friendly, the room was clean but small. I guess they’re more suited for 2 people than 3, I guess. I liked that they make an effort to be environmentally conscious.
Our room, unfortunately, did not face the Space Needle, but it was facing east, so we got a beautiful sunrise in the morning. I think the beds were memory foam? Not that comfortable, but then again, no hotel bed is ever going to be as comfortable as home.
We decided to grab the breakfast buffet that their restaurant offers, which was $ 7.95/person plus tax. It was okay, but definitely not worth $ 8 a pop, maybe $ 4.
But it’s close to the city center, which is a big plus. Definitely a good value. Would stay here again if needed.

I have to admit, I am a TOTAL prima donna when it comes to hotels. I once booked a place in Southern California that I paid for in advance, and when I went to check in, said HELL TO THE NO, and went someplace else. I also do not like to pay full price. That was not the case w/​this joint. I actually had a first choice, but waited too long to book. But I liked the location of this (close to monorail, which is as close to mass transit as you’re gonna get in Seattle), and the reviews seemed good. Plus I’ve stayed at BW’s before… I figured it was ok. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I wouldn’t mind staying here again. We didn’t have a room facing the Space Needle unfortunately, but it was walking distance to that and the EMP and the monorail. There were also some great dive bars around the corner. The staff was incredibly cordial.
WiFi is free if you are a guest. They cater to the business person w/​newspapers every morning, and business center. There are several board rooms, I even noticed the local BNI chapter met there. There is a breakfast buffet for a nominal fee. It was pretty good! Even had waffle makers. And if you know me, I LOVE breakfast.

We stayed here for 4 days for a recent trip and while the stay was nothing spectacular, it was the best value for the location and I’d probably stay here again. I didn’t travel to stay in a luxurious room all day, I came to wander the city and see the sights.
My goal on this trip was to be within walking distance of Pike Place, downtown, Seattle Center, Capitol Hill, and use my car as little as possible. Everything is within walking distance of this hotel including tourist attractions as well as a great selection of places to eat and drink. I felt safe walking in this area, even at night.
Now on to the hotel. Yes it’s old and dated. But it’s clean and has the amenities you need: comfy beds, fridge and microwave, parking, and a surprisingly amazing view of the space needle and EMP museum right outside our window! The walls are VERY thin, so request a room away from the elevators.
Don’t come here expecting a first class resort. But if you want stay that offers value and convenience and are ok with basic amenities, then this place will suit your needs just fine.
