After dealing with moody clients and customers all day I do not want to pay almost $ 10 for below average food and get barked at by the food workers. Never a smile or good manners, not even talking about customer service(their job). Been here twice, and never again.

I have had good experience with this establishment. Fast service. I usually just pick up couple of soft chicken tacos with hot salsa during my lunch hour… yummmmy! The folks behind the counter don’t interact with customers much, but provide a decent service. Gracias!

The other reviews below are crazy! I have been to this location 3x and each time the good was very good. The breakfast burrito is very filling and tasty. The Chorizo tacos are generously filled and topped with what ever you like. They are fast and efficient and very friendly. What are people expecting for 2 large tacos a dude of rice and beans for 7.00? You her more then you pay for here and it’s very good. If you’re upset your seafood wasn’t caught that day, then walk up the street to taylor shellfish and pay 4x the amount. If it’s so bad go across the street to subway and get a flatizza for the same price and then comment on meat in a microwave.

This place is a turd. The staff are impatient, avoid eye contact, and move slowly. They have a nice flat grill but only use it to warm tortillas. The meats are submersed in broth/juices which gives you a watery, messy burrito and taco. The vegetables often have grit in them, especially the cilantro, which means they were underwashed. They use the microwave to heat food up. For the price, I’ll walk the extra bit to Taco Del Mar close by.

Please do not roll your eyes at me when reading this review because, yes, there was a time in my life when I ate nothing but tater tots and I was pretty happy. I’ve become a little more discriminating. I ordered the«hot salad with grilled steak» to go for lunch today. Sounded great and somewhat healthy. We started out with the lettuce and my choice of beans, hot sauce, cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and one of their four salsas. All was well so far… It wasn’t until I watched the guy take a bag out of the microwave and attempt several times to shake the pre-cooked, reheated, and now stuck to the plastic bag, little chunks of meat onto my salad that ruined it for me. If they cannot have their employees take an extra minute to grill the tiny bits of steak, maybe keep some in a warmer? The tip jar next to the cashier with a dollar bill taped right below the word«TIP» sort of made me feel obligated to tip at least a full buck and not just a couple quarters. Sort of tacky if you ask me. Who knows, maybe I am cranky today since it IS Monday but that meat in a bag nuking was just an unappetizing visual and then it transferred that experience to my actual eating experience. I for sure will take my 10 bucks somewhere else next time.

Should have read reviews before eating here. But always kind of liked their other places. From microwaving instead of grilling meat. To the counterman more intent on his phone that helping. I’d have to give a huge avoid this place.

This was without question the worst burrito I’ve ever had. I mean, this was barely a step above dog poop wrapped in a tortilla. I got a crab and shrimp burrito which sounds like an awesome lunch. Nope. As the bro was making it I told him to go light on the beans and rice. Nope. Did not listen to me, just piled on a ton of them. I asked him to let the beans drain for a second because I was going to be driving while eating it. Nope. So I had black bean juice just pouring out of the foil wrapper as I tried to eat it. So how’d it taste? Awful. They use cold imitation crab. Nasty. The shrimp were tiny, salty, and also ice cold. This created an ice cold burrito with no flavor with black bean juice pouring out of it like an overly soiled diaper. My friend got a quesadilla that was marginal at best. I would never think of giving them another chance. It was that bad.

Eh. I ordered the vegan Special Rice, a soda and chips and salsa. -$ 8.50 for an overly acidic/tangy meal that consisted of rice, beans, and salsa mixed together, then topped off with more salsa. The dude making the meal also asked if I wanted cheese or sour cream on it.uh.I ordered a vegan meal so I don’t get cheese! Weird. Anyway, the meal was too watery and looked like vomit and way too acidic tasting with the two types of salsa. It came with a side of iceberg lettuce and red cabbage. Meh. I think I’ll just pass next time.

I want to preface this by saying that I love the Blue Water Taco Grill in Queen Anne. I’ve always had great service there and everything is fresh. This one, however, needs some attention called to it. The first time I went there, I ordered a torta, and when they cut open the bread, it was rotten with weevils. The guy(grossed out) tossed it and cut open a new piece without washing the knife. It was an hour before closing time(2:30pm), and they had already put away the ingredients and stopped using the grill, so they microwaved it. Based on the staff’s attitude, it was as if I was doing a great inconvenience by patronizing their business. Today I went back and was reminded that the guacamole and sour cream they charge extra for are heavily diluted(first with vinegar, the former with water). Sour cream and guacamole should not pour. This place is half-assing it, and should be shut down completely if they can’t get their act together. If not by corporate, by the health department.

Blue Water Taco Grill ostensibly features seafood Mexican food, as featured by the giant shrimp on its’ logo. Now I never really got into the sexican(seafood + Mexican, get it?) craze of octopus tacos and tuna chalupas, so I can’t really give a great comment about their seafood entrees. Not that I’m judging anyone for eating this type of food(although secretly I am), it’s just that I prefer my Mexican food to be some sort of meat dish served by an expressionless worker who speaks minimal English. Which happens to be pretty much what you’re getting here. Blue Water is basically a serving line: the menu is written in chalk above the counter and you can sort of point to the items that you want in your burrito. The burritos(what I order) come with rice, beans, salsa and pico de gallo. A deluxe burrito comes with other delicacies such as cheese; the basic burrito will set you back $ 5.50, the deluxe a little over $ 7. The meal is certainly more substantial than what you’d find at Taco Bell(not that I would ever knock the fourth meal), although it probably would lose on a price per calorie consumed basis. If that matters to you. Some things specific to this location. Note that the menu varies somewhat amongst different Blue Water locations. This one serves a real breakfast from 7 am — 10:30 am(and someday I need to order the Gringo Scramble just for the name) and is open for all other foods until 3:30 pm. Also be aware that this location is not open on the weekend, it mostly caters to the weekday workers in the Towers.
