i bought a tippr deal for bria pilates to check out my first pilates experience… i had no idea what i was getting myself into. the studio is beautiful and welcoming. the classes are small, which is a nice change. the tippr deal included 1 personal training session. trying the different machines, breathing, and techniques made me feel like a fish out of water. i never knew it was so involved! breathing? i’ve been doing it my whole life… you’d think it’d be a little easier than that… luckily, nadgia, was patient and didn’t make me feel like a total clutz. she was knowledgeable and can really help you on your form and technique. only downside is after your first private session, you have the option to buy more at a special one time introductory price — and even then it’s still pricey. also, given that it was only my first session, i wasn’t sure how in love with pilates i was. if i was going to drop that much cash for more private lessons(which i knew i definitely needed) i’d want to mull it over a bit. BUT the cool thing is, if you Unilocal your review and link them, you can get another private less for only $ 40(score! :)). i sucked at it, but i hate being a quitter. andddd back i shall go.

Though the studios and instructors were very nice I had a very bad experience with billing. I had called after a Unilocal deal and asked if they could match the deal which they could not but they offered me a buy one unlimited month, get one free deal. I also paid for a private and a group class separately. Unfortunately they charged me for the second month and one of the girls who said she was new tried to give me a refund for the second month, and sent me an e-mail confirmation, but the credit never went though and didn’t show up on my statement. I called and they said it was probably still processing. I also sent a follow up e-mail about the second month refund not coming through but my e-mail was not returned. Then when I canceled my membership(giving the necessary notice in writing) and they charged me anyways(they did refund that right away). I would have been a long term client, and told my friends about Bria but instead I’m sadly left with a very negative impression of this place and suggest to stay away!
