Based on multiple interactions over a few months, this store has terrible customer service. Better to buy online or go to another location.

Staff was nice and let me use their massage chairs!
She even convinced me how affordable one would be when they are having their 0% apr sale!
Once we have a house we will get one of these! Thanks for the great service and saying go Seahawks when anyone in a jersey walked in on game day awesome!

A real winner, not just by Vancouver standards, but for any cool gimmicks/​gadgets, etc., electronics and home, I can spend an hour just browsing.

I’ve bought the feet massage and another full shoulder/​back which I still use religiously. Ain’t cheap but regularly have sales.
My latest prized possession is this towel that keeps cool for up to 4 hrs or so, endorsed by one of the Williams sisters so can’t wait til try this next time i’m in asia.
Also have lots of products geared towards iPhone users too.

I called ahead to check if they had a product and they said yes. When I showed up they didn’t have it. Liars! Waste of a drive = you lost my business!
I am totally annoyed by this experience. I also don’t think some of their products are worth the insanely expensive prices.

I bought an expensive white noise machine here. Right after the year warranty expired the AC Adapter quit working. All i needed was a replacement for what apparently is an odd adapter that I was having trouble finding. After going there twice and getting phone numbers that led to nothing, they basically told me i was on my own. It sucks because they have boxes of these adapters but i was told they don’t have the authority to give one to me and there is no one I can speak to who does have that authority. Terrible return policy. I spend a lot of money on this kind of stuff. I’ll never ever ever buy anything from this company again. Looks like I’ll be purchasing a fancy RC Helicopter somewhere else cuz i don’t mind spending a lot on something I just want to know that a company is there to back their product or at least help me when it breaks. This place is a joke. NEVER AGAIN.

I love toys. I love electronics. I love pillows. Brookstone has all these things. If it served frozen yogurt there’s a definitive possibility I might never leave.
Do you need a massage chair that can control your iPad and blender from the comfort of your chair? Do you want a toilet brush that works as a comb and a portable wi-​fi hub? Well… they may not have those but they do have robot vaccuum cleaners and theraputic pillows. They have stuff here that you didn’t know you needed until you saw it here. They have stuff I’ll convince you to buy so I can borrow it… and probably never return it.
We came here looking for BuddyBalls… fun type magnets. We found them. I then scanned their barcode and found out that Brookstone had ‘em for $ 3 less than other places. Score!
I’m going to come back to play… just leave me to it and no one will get hurt.

I keep hearing that we are heading into a recession the likes of which the world has never seen. There is panic in the housing market and at the gas pumps. The service industry is freaking out and even laser eye surgeries are slowing down for the love of the lord!
But I call BS on this fictional paranoia. How can there be an economic crisis if people are still buying $ 500 Quilted-​Weave Hammock Packages and $ 200 Digital Grocery List Assistants? One trip to Brookstone Company will assure you that we still sit firmly at the top of the food chain and use our position there to buy Remote Control Gutter Cleaning Robots and $ 500 electronic iSqueez Calf and Foot Massagers. Want an electronic Bath and Towel warmer for those horrible moments of post shower discomfort? Well you can’t have one because they are sold the fuck out!
So stop crying about the economy until Brookstone goes out of business and city wide rioting breaks out; then use the black market to trade your $ 1,800 Home Putting Green for canned food and guns.

Brookstone has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My wife bought me a jacket that had a battery-​powered heating element in it for Christmas. It was too small, so we returned it asking for one size bigger.
For months, we heard nothing. Then today, we finally got a hold of them and they said that they threw the jacket away!
Why?
Because it had some animal hair on it. Of course, it’s a black jacket and my dog is white, so it’s entirely possible that there was a few animal hairs on it, but they said that it wasn’t «like new» and according to their return policy, it caused us to «forfeit» our product. No phone call, no email, nothing. They didn’t even bother to think about sending the offending article back to us — the rightful owners.
I don’t believe that this is even legal, but they refuse to refund our money or send us another jacket.
It has to be the worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. Ever.

I really like Brookstone. Lots of neat & unusual stuff including electronics. You have to be careful about impulse purchases (um, like my new Red Cross hand crank emergency radio, $ 49).
But when you go shopping there for something you actually needed when you went in, they have really solid things that work well and will make you glad you went.
I just bought a pedometer there ($ 25) that actually works. This is my 4^th pedometer — the other three came from Fred Meyer and just disintegrated in various ways. This one is solid as a rock, talks to me with a vaguely Asian accent, and actually measures STEPS, like they’re all supposed to do but most of them actually measure PACES (2 steps = 1 pace). This makes a very substantial difference in your life if you’re on a 10,000-steps-a-day exercise program like I am.
A few months ago my partner had sore feet and I went there looking for a heated whirlpool foot bath — they had one and it works beautifully.
They have lots of things that make great gifts, and a few things that are laughable, like the automatic wine bottle decorker. I mean how lazy can you get? Anyway, I didn’t get one because it didn’t come with a remote.
