Zero rating for a dishonest, unethical and incompetent contractor. I hired him only because he came highly recommended by acquaintances, who knew him personally. BIGMISTAKE. Chris Greer tried to pass off a used stove as new, not once but twice, and charged me for hundreds of dollars in materials that were never delivered. He also charged me for new materials and installed used ones instead, and collected money for materials without delivering them for months. Shoddy work includes uneven tile, unfinished tile around the toilet, huge gaps and out of alignment cabinets. The list goes on. He took a year — a year! — to do a basement remodel. He would promise to show up, then disappear for weeks at a time, always with lame excuses for not coming by. He promised a contract at the start of the job, and several times throughout the process, but was always too busy to write one up, which is very convenient when he fails to live up the terms of the verbal contract. Final insult: he said he would rebuild my stairs for free to compensate me for the hassle, then sent a bill for $ 800 plus for work that would embarass a beginning carpenter. The photos are representative of the quality of work he delivers. He presented himself as licensed and bonded, but was neither. His contractor’s license was suspended a month before he contracted for the work. Check out the list of unpaid fines with the Department of Labor and Industries:

Unprofessional, unethical, and disorganized. Job cost twice as much as budget allowed. Not a single light switch is where you’d think it should be. Getting hot water upstairs takes more than two minutes. The shower is a foot too wide, and crams me into a tiny laundry nook. The pendant lights are too far apart. The tile is uneven and has a noticeable slant to the drain. I asked for a «roll in» shower and he said I had to have a 4×4 «lip». Garbage.

Not very happy with the contractor, and wouldn’t suggest to anybody. Our little kitchen remodel takes 10 weeks after we took several things out of scope, just so we can get a working kitchen back. Contractor frequently came and only work for a couple of hours then left for the day. When installing lights in the kitchen contractor clipped a wire and disconnected a wall of outlets then attempted to charge us to fix it. And finally contractor didn’t install cabinets properly. We had cabinet store technicians to adjust drawers and they found a lot of issues with the installation. Twice asked contractor back to fix, no show no call on the agreed day/time.
