First off, you made me late for work and not in a «oh my god, this is so delicious I’m going to stay and inhale another crêpe» type of way. It should not take you 3 failed crumpled crepes(yeah, I saw you tossing those in the trash!) and 13 minutes to make me a lemon/sugar/butter concoction. And then! And then! It was one of the worst crepes I’ve ever had. Under-cooked, bland and you’d need a mighty imagination to guess this was supposed to have lemon & sugar. I stick my tongue out at you.

I was very disappointed by this place. When we went, we ordered crepes, a salad and some drinks. The food was poor — especially the smoked salmon crêpe and the chicken salad. In the crêpe, the salmon was poor quality and very dry, the tomatoes were tasteless(this in tomato season!), and the onions that were supposed to be there were absent. In the chicken salad, the chicken was very dried out and unpleasant. In addition to the poor quality of the food, the service was very slow. There were very few patrons there when we arrived, and it still took a very long time to get our order. The staff seemed more absorbed in flirting with each other than in doing their jobs. All in all, we had a very bad lunch experience. I am not planning to go back.

Ordered: Crepes & Coffee(can’t comment on anything else) + Ambiance points from me but perhaps that is all. — The crepes were disappointing. I walked with my friends one morning in search of a place to eat crepes downtown. It was not particularly busy, and the wait was long, however it was understandable because we had 6 people, so that was not the problem. The slow service would have been easily overlooked if the crepes were good enough to compensate… But the crepes were disappointing for everyone as they were soggy(undercooked) and unimpressive overall no matter which one we ordered. Impression: Try another place for crepes, these were definitely not worth the cost. Hopefully their other food is better.

I haven’t been here for a while and I had a friend working there at the time, so perhaps my experience was rather effected by that… The service was good and the crepes were delicious. What REALLY made my visit great, though, was when I realized they were selling Kinder chocolate. I had not even seen that stuff since I was a kid and lived in Russia!(I wonder if they still sell it?) We ended up going up to the Space Needle viewing deck later that day and taking the opportunity to enjoy the view with some European chocolate. Mmmm mmm good.

Alas. a case of whothamawhathamadowelikethisplace? My experience: I came in a few times for French hot chocolate. I don’t know what’s so French about it since I’m uncultured swine and you can’t really go wrong with chocolate in my eyes. but it was pretty good. I thought the service was quick and friendly. I also came in here for directions one time and the guy behind the counter(whilst making food and ringing up the register) was not only helpful but the right amount of sarcastic for someone I’d just met. And, well, I didn’t mind that he was easy on the eyes. The bathroom is shared amongst the building’s suites, so it was nice and clean. My friend’s experience: Apparently, she went in and waited at the counter for several minutes while people continually ignored her. And after she got the coffee, she wasn’t that happy with it. Ahhhh. I don’t know. We were in here a few times over the course of 3 – 4 days and I had no issue(and she liked the coffee I bought her one of the times I went in solo). So honestly, I don’t know if it was my friend needing coffee desperately or someone on staff. but to me. 4 stars. Oh and it says there’s free wireless in the café. but if you’re anywhere near the place you can pick up «plazanet». I was using it on my iPod from across the street by the Seattle Center!

Thought we’d scored big when we saw the«Best of Citysearch 2008» and«Zagat Rated» signs on the window! Ahh sweet deception, how I hate thee. My BF ordered their August special of the month — an iced Blueberry Mocha with an added espresso shot. The one time he decides to try something new, it turns out to be gross. We both hated the drink. It was overly sweet and you could not taste a hint of coffee in there despite the added shot. After drinking half of this we tossed it. 1 star. With frustrated determination I went back and ordered a triple espresso over ice. I added my own milk and sweetener. I came to Seattle for good coffee garsh darnit! This time, it did not disappoint. The espresso was excellent and I could taste its strength. It had a slightly alcoholic aftertaste like most strong coffees do. Yummy. 4 stars. Now this place not only has coffee and teas, it also offers an extensive list of crepes, wraps, and salads. We shared a «Foresteire Crêpe»($ 9.50) — comes with sauteed mushrooms with herbs & garlic, ham, and emmenthal cheese. This was one of the worst crepes I’ve ever had. There wasn’t a hint of garlic taste to it, and where was the cheese? I couldn’t seem to find it. The crêpe itself was rough(like a tortilla) and not soft and light like most other creperies I’ve been to. The portion wasn’t that big either. What a joke. 1 star. The guy behind the cashier also had a stoned look on his face like he’d been doing drugs. Wasn’t very friendly at all. I’d only come back for their regular coffee drinks and nothing else.

The crepes and Panini sandwhiches are good… You can’t deny that. But the service is horrible! And the prices are way to high for what you get! The food is good but $ 10 – 15 for a sandwhich? And the coffee is double what starbucks is! I have tried this place multiple times since I am in the building and everytime I am incredibly disappointed with how the owner treats her clients. If the service was good then I wouldn’t have a problem spending more money. Dirty looks and Gossip at the front counter is what this place is about… I will not be back!

NOT Microsoft Prime 2007 – 2008 As of March, this restaurant is no long accepting Prime Ambiance: 3 Food: 4 Value: 3 Went there for Sunday breakfast. The setting is pretty nice for a restaurant in a corporate building: they have some of the art created for the restaurant on sale. Few tables and can become very busy: in fact the people next to us left after not getting any service for 20 minutes. With tables outside, I don’t see how they envisioned serving everyone with only 3 people. Food was pretty good. Had the standard Nutella banana and cream and the breakfast savory crêpe. The bill was hefty, $ 10 for a crêpe, not exactly cheap, with out prime, not a great deal. But the place is okay, maybe go back again.

Don’t you hate it when a restaurant you really want to like disappoints? I ate at Café Darclee yesterday and left feeling sorry for them. I hate that. So here’s the specifics of my visit. I met up with some friends at about 11:00am on a Saturday. There were 7 of us and even though the place isn’t big, there was a nice big round table perfect for 7. I had high hopes as I perused the menu while enjoying my well-made Caffe Umbria latte. The menu was full of interesting combinations. The crêpe with emmenthal cheese, apples and crème fraîche was tempting, but I settled on the Marine, a combination of smoked salmon, cream cheese, chives, tomatoes and crème fraîche. All 7 of us ordered crepes and that turned out to be our doom. Mine came out first along with another for one of my friends. It was exactly what I expected and delicious. The other 5 waited anxiously for theirs. Tick, tock, tick, tock. LONG story short, each set of 2 crepes took about 15 minutes! By the time I finished eating, the last 2 people were still waiting for another 15 minutes! The apologetic waitress was near to tears. We were all embarrassed for her as 4 people behind the counter stared at the cooking crepes willing them to finish. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We had fully intended on splitting some dessert crepes but in the end didn’t feel like making an entire day of it! I would consider returning to Caffe Darclee with ONE friend, and I would keep on walking if it looked busy. The food was quite delicious and the atmosphere relaxing. But I have to question how they expect to operate when the tourist crowds come in. They’re right across the street from the Space Needle! Time for the crêpe shop to invest in more crêpe makers.

The first thing that should hit you upon entering a café and creperie better be the smells of crepes and coffee. Unfortunately, what overwhelmed me olfactorily speaking at Café Darclee was fresh latex paint. How fresh, I’m not sure, but I couldn’t smell the food or coffee even when it was on my table! Even when I was eating and drinking said comestibles! Gak. Aside from that(which I have to assume is a temporary condition), the crêpe I had for breakfast(a Half Moon, it’s called) was pretty tasty, with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese. Also tomatoes, which I could have done without. Unless it’s September and you just picked them, I probably don’t want tomatoes. Still, I thought the flavors should all have been stronger. At least strong enough to beat drying paint. The design of the place, including the chairs and the flatware are a bit unusual and more interesting to look at than to actually use. The crepes took a while to arrive but the presentation was pretty nice. Also, they made a really tasty mocha, which I am picky about. And they carry some unusual gourmet items, including German chocolates– some common, like Ritter Sports, others harder to find, like Kinder. I’ll go back for coffee and chocolates but I don’t know about the crepes… it depends on how it smells when I return, I’m afraid.

Crepes was delicious but quite big. As hungry as I was, I couldn’t finish my crêpe. Their coffee was made real well… you know the kind where you can draw on the foam.

The best thing about this well designed coffee shop in Fischer Plaza is that it’s a bit of a hybrid. Rather than carrying and refilling(yes, free refills) your own coffee, they bring it to your table. Been meaning to try the food too. The staff is fantastic — very friendly, fast and courteous. The only downside is that it’s a little dark in the winter, but in good weather you can sit outside in the plaza itself.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! Ate lunch here with my two kids. My son had the Aloha crêpe and I choose the La Bergere. Both were delicous! My daughter choose the boring PB&J but it was served on panini bread and she thought that was delightful. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful view of the Space Needle and lots of people watching. They both tried smoothies… Peaches for her and Mango for him. I thought they were both a bit too sweet, so of course my kids slurped up every drop. We shared the Red Desire Crêpe for desert. Not only delicious but so beautiful that I had to take a picture too. I would highly recommend for any travelers or locals to seek out this great little find and enjoy!!!

Nice crepes and coffee close to the Space Needle. Another fun shop hidden away in Fisher Plaza is this little Parisian style crêpe shop. I really enjoy crepes and usually tend to just order dessert crepes because they are so good. I spent a nice quiet afternoon sipping coffee and eating a wonderful strawberry and banana crêpe. Never been here at night and hear it can be a bit crowded. But a good place to sit quietly in the afternoon.
