Cute little coffee-shop/café with tons of food choices. I’ve been here a few times over the years, usually just to get coffee and a muffin while my kid’s at Little Gym next door, but occasionally I get one of the breakfast scrambles or a breakfast burrito if I have time. Can’t say anything in particular has blown me away, but I like the variety of breakfast items them have(pastries are plentiful, lots of meat or veggie egg dishes, they even have pancakes too). I also like that there are plenty of tables to sit at inside, but it’s not a full sit-down restaurant with table service, so it’s a little faster when you need to get moving quick. Kind of just in-between a café and a restaurant? Tons of free parking right in back(gravel lot). My only complaint is that it seems like they’re sometimes under-staffed and the line can get kind of long. That may just be a reflection of the fact that there aren’t other cafes/coffee shops nearby though.

Great little neighborhood café. Good food, coffee, and friendly service! The french toast is absolutely delicious and a must have.

Funky little café! Nothing fancy, but Café Kopi appeals to my inner hippy… totally casual seating and décor, fresh raw juices, unique and fresh food! I had the gluten free: turkey pesto sandwich(thinly sliced turkey, pesto, cheese and spinach all grilled panini style), and the oatmeal peanut butter cookie with salted caramel cashews(amazing!). I also had a chai — which tasted house made and yummy! Minus one star for very slow service, but overall I was very pleased! Friendly staff and great food!

To be fair, I only tried their pastries, but that was because I went in near closing time. The girl there told me that«their juice machine was unavailable» and that they only had«coffee and pastries» at this point. There were some great looking menu items that I wanted to try, but I assumed«coffee and pastries» meant only that. Maybe my bad? I was really looking forward to trying this local bakery, and the furniture and store front are your typical neighborhood small café. But the counter area felt cluttered and shabby, which wasn’t the best first impression for the interior. I got a cranberry orange scone and a slice of lychee passionfruit pound cake. The cake tasted like sugar, with maybe a hint of lychee if I close my eyes and tried really hard. That, and it was tiny. Really thin, and not worth almost four dollars. The scone was actually pretty good, with excellent cranberry sauce sandwiched between two layers of scone. However, halfway through I found some kind of fruit anatomy, similar to the icky part at the bottom of an apple. Since this is something neither found on a cranberry or orange, I’m not sure how they can justify finding this on the top of my scone. Overall, eh food, eh ambiance, and a little pricey for sub par pastries. Maybe I’ll try their menu food sometime and see, but for something I’ve been looking forward to, it fell quite short of my expectations.

I loved their coconut cake. The breakfast biscuits were alright. Really friendly staff and a cozy place. My one reservation is due to the weekend wait time. Maybe hire one more staff person to handle the high demand? The pastries, smoothies, and coffee make this a must try place!

I’ve lived close to here for several years but never went in until this last weekend. My boyfriend and I wanted a quick breakfast and thought it would be nice to try somewhere new. We put in our order for an omelet and some croissant french toast with a couple of coffees. The coffees came out fairly quickly, but I was surprised that they weren’t particularly hot. Maybe that’s how we both managed to finish them at least 5 – 10 minutes before the food made it out to our table. Even though the place was pretty full its a small café. There were at most 5 other tables and it felt like we were waiting for forever. I hoped that the wait would pay off, but alas, my boyfriend received watery omelet and I got burnt french toast, burnt bad enough that I was trying to cut around it, but there were few places not charred beyond recognition. We would have sent it back if we didn’t think we’d have to deal with the same kind of wait. Even being so close we will never come back. This is some of the worst food that we’ve had around here and its a shame because some of the items sounded so good.

Food is great! Service is REALLY slow. We live in the neighborhood and have gone there many times. We had to stop going there on our walks when we realized that after we left we complained to each other about the slow service when there didn’t appear to be any reason for the slow service. It was slow when I/we were the only ones with an order. We thought it was only slow for kitchen prepared food. The straw-camel…last time I went there was after I ordered an iced Chai with hemp milk(thanks for having hemp!). The server looked down for some hemp, realized there was none… and instead of getting a hemp from storage and restocking the other refrigerated products later, she disappeared in the back and re-appeared with as many boxes of milk alternatives as she could carry. Did she open a hemp and make my drink? No, she proceeded to stock and organize the entire refrigerator. This was during my work lunch hour when there should be some expectation that most of the people are at lunch and have limited time. That was the last time I will go there. I concluded that slowness at Kopi’s is institutionally supported. Too bad… in our neighborhood… great food… I will never go there again.

Came in here finally, was pretty amazed at the menu items! They even had my favorite — white coffee — really hard to find! We had a delicious brunch, delicious drink, and I’m looking forward to coming here all the time and trying the rice bowls. Also– they have raw juice which was a huge surprise, so im excited to have such variety right in the neighborhood on the way to work. They close at 5 is the only downside, so I’ll be able to come only on weekends. They should consider being open until 630 ;)

GREAT coffee, friendly service, great WiFi, great breakfast food all day, soups and sandwiches. The salmon scramble is delicious and the croissant sandwich is even better with optional mozzarella cheese at only $ 4.50! They don’t display their fresh plain croissants but just ask for them. The cozy non-Starbuck place with the traditional punch card for a free coffee after 12 drinks i.o. 30 at Starbucks and they don’t expire each year as Starbucks do.

How I heard of this place: My friend Jenna introduced me to this neighborhood café, as a place she had driven by on numerous occasions and needed a good excuse — a friend, the snow and no vehicle transportation — to go! We decided today, a snowy, cold, blustery Seattle November day, would be it. Type of cuisine: Espresso beverages and pastries were in store for the two of us, but the chalkboard menu was extensive! And reviews on Unilocal!show an abundance of raves about their rice bowls. Cinnamon rolls, sweet(lemon strawberry) and savory(feta garlic) scones, cookies, creative muffins(like peach and brown sugar) and cake, paired with rice bowls, sandwiches, soup and salads. There is something for everyone — including health nuts, vegans and children — at this small, neighborhood coffee shop/café. Ambiance: A small space with window front includes six to eight tables and chairs in a soothing dark wood are set up around the café for optimal seating options while trying best to keep patrons from feeling cramped and imposed upon by neighboring diners. Mosaic art graces the space, as does a quaint, clean and orderly kids toy shelf. A take-one-leave-one bookshelf offers lone diners something to pick up and read while embracing the atmosphere, or passerby to take with them as they make their way back to work or home. A very homey atmosphere, made perfect by the mural and sweet chalkboard menu, the staff are friendly, happy, accommodating and seem to genuinely enjoy working at Café Kopi. According to one Unilocal!-er: «This place really is the rose that grew through the sidewalk. It’s located in the car hell that is Lake City Way as it approaches Roosevelt, I5, and 80th. It’s just a mess of cars trying to get downtown, to the U or across to Ballard. But once you see that beautiful mural and the glowing neon „Open“ sign. You know you have to stop. So what if you have to dodge traffic to get here, it’s worth it.» What I ordered: Upon entering this new-to-us(and sure-to-return-to) spot, my dining companion and I were pleased to see samples awaiting us on the pastry display case. We each took a healthy sampling(they offered large sample sizes!) of the blueberry scone(and later, also sampled a large wedge of the chocolate chip cookie). It was so moist and crumbly, perfectly sweetened to wash down with coffee, but not overtly so, and a stunning combination of flavors: buttery, with light icing drizzles and large, fresh blueberries! I couldn’t resist and had to order the large blueberry scone($ 3) along with my 12-ounce non-fat gingerbread mocha($ 3.50) to ring in the holiday season. My dining companion branched off and ordered the seasonal apple harvest crumble scone($ 3) with her 16-ounce non-fat peppermint latte. What I loved: It was suggested that I choose the gingerbread mocha rather than my holiday staple: peppermint mocha, and I feel like I should have gone with my usual. That being said, the beverage was made well, just lacked the sweetness I was craving on this cold, coulda-fooled-me-not-quite-winter day. The blueberry scone, however, was just as tasty, from the first sample bite to the last bite of the meal-sized pastry. My dining companion also seemed pleased with her selection, as it was gone before I realized I should have asked for a sample! Why I loved it: The space is cozy and comfortable, easy and a natural place to sit and work, read a book, chat with friends or enjoy a casual lunch with colleagues. The staff are incredibly friendly and down to earth, and the other patrons sweet and happy to be a part of this mini community, this respite among the bustling crowds, traffic and noise of Lake City Way. Cost: Low to average($ 3 per pastry or 12-ounce specialty espresso beverage)

First time here, not the last for sure. Home made soup, potato, sausage with kale was 5 star. Turkey cranberry sandwich and great coffee hit the spot, didn’t want to leave. My friend had the coconut curry bowl and devoured it, had broccoli and nuts and not too heavy, really high quality.

Oh, breakfast. You are the one meal I hate enjoying, because I’m still half asleep. Yet, I love you for your toasted breads n jamz, your seasoned eggies, and sometimes those lil garnished slices of oranges. Café Kopi’s menu was nearly mouth-watering! Somehow, the most ordinary dishes sound so appetizing on their chalked menu. Do I choose the french toast? The classic breakfast? Pancakes? I wanted it all. And then it was my turn to order, and I forgot everything I thought I wanted and blurted out«I’ll have the pico de gallo eggs!». And that was that — decision made. Coffee was grand, my wheat toast was pretty standard, the eggs splashed with some Sriracha won me over! No gluttonous guilt from this meal. Where I can’t give this café 5 stars is that this isn’t a spot for the non-energetic. Don’t visit after running a marathon(ironically, an entire table beside us did), because you do have to get up to grab your own utensils, then jam, oh and later the napkins you forgot, and yes the salt and pepper… before I knew it I had gotten up 3 times to grab things! And then had to bus my table. All for the same cost of most other typical breakfast spots. Still… great food and a cozy atmosphere.

Food was good but all kinds of signs demeaning Men. Kind of weird having to read all of them from eating in the dining room to the restroom. Don’t think I will be back.

So so so delicious!!! My new favorite place for lunch, next time I’ll try breakfast! The staff is so kind and everything on the menu made my mouth start watering. I ended up going with the turkey pesto and my boyfriend got the budda rice bowl, and I must say they were both to die for and exceed my expectation of a great sandwich&rice bowl. I highly suggest going there because no matter who your with there will be something for everyone on the menu. And I must say after reading some of the reviews… I waited about 5mins, max 10 mins for my food… not 45 mins… And there was about 3 – 5 people ahead of us. Just a heads up cause I saw some comments about the wait time, which I didn’t find a problem at all!

Well, like some others, I have tried to love Kopi and am just finding it hard… I literally waited 45 minutes for a to-go order of a scramble with hash browns. They had about 6 people in the place at the time. I was told that hash browns take that long. Really? They must be harvesting the potatoes, shredding them, soaking them, etc all in the back parking lot. But because I live 2 blocks away, I keep going back — only to be disappointed, again and again. Just this last weekend, I went in with my family, and ordered a scramble again — this time no hash browns. It was supposed to have 5 ingredients in it, and I added cheese. It coast me $ 13.00!!! Then when it came, it looked like it was made with one egg,(very small portion), the eggs looked dirty(like a light brownish color mixed in with the yellow color of the egg — the stove top or pan must have been filthy), and then it was missing not only my cheese, but two of the other main ingredients that come in the scramble! Seriously! I don’t get how they stay in business. Except, that they are the only option in this area, so we all keep going back. Its like a bad relationship that you just can’t walk away from.

Oh my god, I’m glad I bypassed Starbucks and waited to get coffee here. Even the drip is incredible. I’ve had nothing but bad scrambled eggs in Seattle, so these were a breath of fresh air-light, flavorful, not like the rubbery ones elsewhere. Decent bacon, crispy(maybe a little overdone) but the Paris Toast(croissant as French toast) was a buttery, cinnamony(yes, I know that’s not a word) treat. I was given an extra piece of their standard French toast(I don’t think as thick as their regular order). Not sure if that’s standard. It’s small and hot on this August morning… and in my very cheap eyes a tiny bit pricey: $ 15 for French toast, 2 eggs, 2 bacon and coffee, plus tip. But the best tasting breakfast I’ve had in months, so I’ll definitely be back with my fiancée. Maybe sitting outside. :)

I’m torn, I 100% believe businesses should have at least one full day in which they are closed. I am also distraught that today is a Monday and I really want to go to Café Kopi, get a Green Monster juice and do some homework. Love this place!

This is a Seattle Hidden Gem. They are a true family run café. They serve breakfast as well as lunch and the prices are beyond reasonable. Breakfast for $ 7 with a drink. Lunch for $ 8 with a drink. Everything is cooked from scratch and never frozen. And did I mention they have great homemade desserts as well. I recommend things like the breakfast sandwich, or their Pork Adobo which is like a pork stew. And make sure you try on of the homemade cakes that they have in their display case.
