I came in for an eye exam and got a photo of my retinas which was super cool. Drs Mark and Miranda Cannon were both very friendly and professional. Dr Mark said I don’t need glasses or contacts, but I will be back for an annual eye health exam because it was easy and convenient. I’ve found my optometrist in Seattle!

Seattle is filled with qualified eye doctors, but what sets Dr. Cannon apart from the rest is his friendly and authentic personality. He is positive, easy to relate to, passionate about his profession and has a great sense of humor. Plus, since his practice is at U Village, why not grab a slice of Delfino’s Pizza or a box of Fran’s Sea Salt Caramels after your appointment? The staff at Market Optical are patient, efficient and fun. They have a great selection of frames to choose from.

I am very impressed with the service provided at Cannon EyeCare. I had an issue with my eye that was red and irritated and I was afraid that I had a scratch. I unsuccessfully tried to schedule an appointment with a few optometrists in the downtown and University district areas. Soonest anyone could see me was 2 weeks to a month(?!). Dr. Cannon’s receptionist was able to schedule me for the same day! Dr. Cannon and his staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Dr. Cannon was very thorough with eye exam and was very helpful with all my questions about my sight and insurance coverage. Very happy to find them! Highly recommend!

I have been a long time patient at Market Optical in Seattle. Recently, Dr. Miranda Cannon and her husband acquired the practice. It’s never easy to change doctors so having such a great experience made all the difference! Dr. Miranda is efficient and utilized the latest technology, but for only what was needed. She also had some great recommendations for my personal needs. Dr. M also uses an easy online service that makes ordering contacts fast and to your home. The team at Market Optical is always first-class as well! Thanks Dr. Miranda and welcome to Seattle!

Dr. Cannon was amazing. I was having an issue with eye dryness. He performed an eye examination that did not hurt and was very thorough. He did not try to «sell» me on products and I didn’t feel rushed, two issues I had run into at an eye care clinic off Leary Ave in Ballard. He gave me samples of eye drops that really make a difference and suggested ways I could maintain optical hygiene that were simple and could be woven into my daily schedule. …The location is just next to Lucky and Sephora soooo that’s always a plus, too. ;) I am so glad Dr. Cannon and his wife are in Seattle. I’ll be «seeing» you next year!(Couldn’t help it.)

I had a great experience with Dr. Cannon. I did not bring my insurance card with me and Dr. Cannon helped me to get my insurance info. Dr. Cannon checked both vision and eye health, and helped me to order the contact lenses. I really enjoyed the experience and recommend it to you.

I was getting my eyes checked up after quite a long time as I was getting new glasses from the Market Optical. Dr. Cannon was very personable and did a very thorough evaluation and had quite a few suggestions about what all I should be doing to keep good care of my eyes. He ensured I was comfortable and explained about the various tests he was conducting. I definitely recommend his clinic to others looking for a quality specialist.

Dr.(Mark) Cannon(of Cannon Eyecare) and the staff at Market Optical are awesome, and I’m really relieved to have them as my eye care team. I switched to Dr. Cannon because my former optometrist is located all the way in Mukilteo, where I used to work, and that just wasn’t going to work with living in Seattle and working in Bellevue. Although Dr. Cannon did not accept my «discount»(a graceful way of saying shitty) vision insurance, he did print the forms for me to submit a reimbursement claim with them. And to be honest, when it comes to any health care, I would rather go with the doctor that I trust than who is in my network(obviously within reason). And at the end of the day, the cost wasn’t that ridiculous. I got a lot of discounts for same-day decisions. Dr. Cannon was super understanding of my dilation phobia(I need to work on this) and let me have my eyes checked without it(we took photos of my eyeballs instead — this is an additional charge of $ 50). He also warmed me up to the idea of contacts(eyeball phobia) and signed me up for a 90-minute training/care for my contacts when they arrive. Dr. Cannon was also very concerned about my migraine issue, and we discussed several different methods to help lessen their frequency. Honestly, it’s one of the first times I’ve had a doctor really take an interest in my migraines! It was a nice feeling to be able to speak openly with him about all of my concerns going forward. As far as Market Optical, I have always loved this shop. The prices are really high, but the options are unique and interesting. If you have some FSA to get rid of, this is the place to do it! Most of the frames came in any color you could imagine. I can’t wait to get my first pair!

I have had great experiences here so far, having had an eye exam and been worked with for both glasses and contacts. Dr. Cannon was friendly, courteous, and professional, and he answered all my questions carefully. I felt like I was in good hands during both appointments and will certainly be coming back in the future. The location of his office inside Market Optical, which I have for several years found to be a great shop, is also a plus.

I’ve been bouncing between optometrists since moving to Seattle and have finally found one that I think I can stick with. Dr. Cannon took his time during our visit and did a very thorough eye exam. He took time to answer all of my questions and I did not feel rushed at any point, which I feel like is a rarity in today’s healthcare system.

I’ve had glasses for the last 20 years and over that time I’ve had countless eye doctors, at chains, local shops, and medical clinics. Dr. Cannon is by far my favorite eye doctor because he’s fun, nice, and professional and is good at explaining eye care procedures, like managing contacts while skiing and camping. They have new and clean tools and Market Optical is a very nice shop, which makes the eye doctor experience a lot easier and comfortable.

I’ve visited Dr. Cannon numerous times in the past and have received excellent care every time he’s treated me. From routine visits to check up on my vision after having got PRK years ago to checking for corneal tears when I’ve injured myself, he’s been professional every time and provides knowledgable care with a great attitude.

Visited Dr. Mark Cannon for my eye exam. I asked ALOT of questions since it has been a while since my last eye check-up. He listened and was able to answer all my questions with thoughtful answers, taking into consideration my situation. He also got be in a new brand of contacts after hearing about my situation, and after setting me up with the new ones, I was so overly impressed at how well they fit and worked with my condition I raved about it to him on my follow-up. He also was able to refer me to a local optometrist that could help me out with ordering the new set of contact lenses and frames. Since the practice is fairly new I couldn’t order the lenses directly through him, but once he’s all set up and good to go, I will definitely be ordering them through him. I would highly recommend anyone living in the area who needs to get their eyes checked to go to Dr. Mark Cannon in Uvillage. My brother wears glasses and contact lenses like me and I’ve already told him to go to him the next time he has a check up.
