I needed to carpet a newly finished room. I worked with Hunter and had a great experience. He was very professional and dependable. I got just what I wanted at a great price. Deadlines were met, Hunter did a great job of communicating with me and the installation was terrific.

I had a very positive experience with Carpet to Go. I worked with Amy and Scott, who helped me with a carpet replacement order for one of my rooms. I got estimates from several different carpet stores in the area and got the best pricing here. Amy was very polite and helpful throughout the process. The estimator that came to our house was nice and so was the installer. They completed the replacement on time, without any trouble. Highly recommend.

After having a pretty bad experience at one of the other major flooring companies, I was leery of yet another flooring stores. But my experience with Carpet To Go couldn’t have been much better. My sales rep, Che, was great. He took time to answer all my questions, help me pick out the right products for my difficult job (I live on a houseboat, and it is hard to find anyone that will work on a houseboat), and had great follow-​up.
We even had a few hiccups along the way (just results of small missteps), and Che and his team worked hard to make sure that everything worked out. I had a difficult job, tight time constraints and was really indecisive on what flooring I wanted. They guided me along, went out of their way to make sure my job could be completed on short notice, and the end result was PERFECT! I will be recommending these guys to all my friends. And to you, of course :)

We decided to open up the wall and put french doors between two rooms, and so used Carpet to Go to continue the existing laminate that was in one room into the other.
Initially in July, I was told that I had to pay up front, but then had flexibility thereafter about when to schedule the installation. That was fine. Installation occurred in August; however, I was not charged for it prior to installation. Ultimately, my credit card wasn’t billed until October after I had followed up in September asking why I hadn’t been billed yet (and I didn’t receive any explanation for the delayed billing – just noticed it on my statement). While I had the funds to deal with a billing three months after I was told it would occur, others may not.
Unfortunately, the installation didn’t go quite as planned. The installers were late and didn’t call to let me know. When they did show up, they closed off the rooms and began installing. Half way through, we discovered they chose to install the laminate the wrong direction, I think because this would save cutting time. However, since the point of using the same laminate as the other room was to make it appear as if it was one continuous floor, we had to request they redo it, which at first they were not very inclined to do. When they did, they didn’t line up the floor between the two rooms so it’s slightly off. They also didn’t have one final piece to put between the floor and an outside door; they offered me an off-​color piece or said they could come back another day and put it in. Given the difficulties in this process, I declined and said I would do it later.
Oh – there also was an incident where one worker cut himself and dripped a fair amount of blood on the newly installed floor and onto our bathroom handle and door. It was a little gross cleaning up someone else’s blood.
As a result, I probably won’t use Carpet to Go in the future. I will say that the sales agents I worked with were very friendly, so there’s that.

My partner and I just had new carpet installed in our home and the process –from beginning to end– was absolutely seamless (pun not intended!)! We had originally been interested in a fine wool carpet, but once we realized that our champagne taste was beyond our budget, Che showed us some alternative carpets that we ended up liking more than our original selection! Super friendly service, quality carpet, quality installation team, and we just couldn’t be any happier with the new carpet.

I needed a small piece of carpet to patch. I looked everywhere to but couldn’t find any shop to purchase a small piece also non of them had the color.
I went to the carpet to go and they did not only sell me tge small piece but they found me the perfect matching color.

This is a review for a special order laminate purchase and installation:
I worked with Amy, who was helpful and accommodating. She followed up after providing me with a quote. She provided competitive pricing against another estimate which allowed us to stay on budget.
We did have to pay for someone to come out to check out to install site, but that went against the purchase of the laminate. She told us that she would refund the site review fee if we decided to not work with her.
The laminate came in perfect and was installed in the timeline as provided by Amy.
The laminate installer did a wonderful job and was very meticulous.
We are extremely happy with our experience with Amy at Carpet to Go and would work with her again for any future carpet or laminate needs.

I’m very impressed with service and quality of carpet at the Seattle store. Great prices, timeliness, and quality is good for me! What more can you ask for! Watched the young man who helped me, Che, and was very impressed with him. He was getting calls while I was there and the callers only wanted to speak with him. I had scheduled an installation from this company and they contacted me on the installation date and said that they were walking off the job to be scheduled at a, «later time» and required me to pay an additional 20% for them to start work.
Understandably, I refused to their extortion and moved to a different Carpet company for my flooring needs and I later found that charged me for the goods and services anyway.
They not only did the bait and switch but THEY ALSO committed fraud by hitting the credit card for the transaction.

On July 13 the work began on installing floating hardwood floors in my home. One week later the floors were taken out because of improper installation. they bounced as we walked. This was over cement. They also cut the wood right up against the wall instead of leaving a quarter of an inch for expansion. the front yard was covered in trash, wood chips and nails, sawdust killed the lawn. the front door was also cut to accommodate a riser inside the door. Now the door has a big gap when it is closed. The second installation was supposed to be the following Friday with a team of workers to complete the job. Two people showed up and one left after two hours to go to his job at the Cheesecake Factory. The remaining team member made the same mistakes and cut the threshold an inch into the room. Their inspector says it’s normal to have the high part of the threshold inside the door. It’s not. I hired an inspector and he confirmed my fears that a second floor was improperly installed. all the furniture was outside during the two installations. It is now mid September and it is still not completed. Costco will not return my calls after several attempts and going to the store for answers. I thought Costco would stand behind this job. so much for executive membership.

I had a carpet installation a little over a week ago and kept feeling like I was stepping on something sharp. Then on Friday night, I stepped squarely on the seam between my bedroom and the bathroom tile and I had the entire tack strip go into my foot. Turns out, there are numerous places all over the floor where I can feel the tack strip. When I called on Friday night after having my foot impaled, I was assured by the assistant manager Ryan that someone would get back to me FIRST THING on Saturday. It is now Sunday at noon and no one has gotten back to me. I had had previously good experiences with this company but apparently the new standard in 2014 is to install so low quality materials that I have tack strips all over the place where you can walk on them and impale yourself. DO NOT BOTHER!

My husband and I just moved into an apartment and were looking for a large rug/​carpet remnant. Carpet to go had a large selection and the prices were a great deal.
The sales associates were extremely helpful and friendly. They folded up our rug (a large 9×12) and brought it out to our car! I was very impressed with their customer service and would definitely come back!

Oh Costco, why did you choose to work with this vendor!
I purchased my family room carpet through Costco who apparently uses Carpets to Go as their flooring vendor. The installation was supposed to be today. I received a call from them this morning saying that would «not be able to make it after all». This is after they gave me 2 different time windows the day before. Of course I took the day off to be here for the installation.
On top of it, they refuse to move electronics so I had to hire a company to come in and dismantle my huge home theater system and move it out in to my living room. Now I have home theater equipment in the middle of the house, no carpet and will have to have the company move all the equipment back in to the family room tomorrow until I can clear my work schedule to schedule another installation day.
I cannot believe a company like Costco works chose to work with a vendor of this quality. Really disappointing…

It’s been a little while (a year?) since we bought our carpet and had it installed, but wanted to write a review. First off, we still love the carpet we had installed in three rooms (we love it as much as we HATED the old junky carpet that we took out). We had a perfectly pleasant experience working with the folks there and even came back a couple of times before ordering. They were helpful each time and not pushy. The installers (a father and son team) did a great job. We would definitely go back if we needed more carpet in the future. We had also shopped around with the big box places and found Carpet To Go to be comparable, and we liked the idea of getting more personal service with a smaller business.

Sitting in my living room enjoying our gorgeous new flooring while writing this review. Yesterday we had our 34 year old, filthy carpet replaced with gorgeous bamboo flooring by Carpet To Go. What a beautiful difference it has made in how our home looks!
We had estimates from other larger flooring companies for laminate flooring as bamboo was WAY out of our budget. When Ami came to measure our space (we also had our bedroom done) and show me options she brought a bamboo flooring sample that happened to be on clearance. It was a perfect fit for our home. and only slightly more expensive than the laminates.
We were able to schedule the replacement within a week. and although they warned us it could take 2 days, it was finished in one?! I had a few questions during the week, Ami and Ryan took care of them right away. The supplies were delivered the day before, we had reminder calls prior to our install date. and Ami checked in with us during the day of install. We couldn’t have had a smoother experience. and our bamboo floors are amazing and really add to our home’s appearance (and now value as well.) Thanks to Ami and Ryan at Carper To Go for making it happen! Also, our installer — Roman was an amazing worker. like a tornado — he worked so quickly and efficiently. The end result is perfection.

I cannot recommend strongly enough that you stay away from this company.
TLDR: The project slipped by 42 days. There is a bump in my kitchen floor. They didn’t order enough material. They left the job unfinished in certain areas. When they ran out of material, they tried to use material that didn’t match the rest of the floor. They yelled at me. They communicated poorly and did not follow through on promises. They gave me no compensation for the slippage and poor quality of work.
Gory details:
I contacted them around mid-​October 2013 for a quote on carpet and wood-​laminate flooring for a small 1 bedroom apartment. Their prices were in the middle of the pack. I felt that I might get better service from a small-​ish company than a Home Depot or Lowe’s, so I went with them. They scheduled to come out and do the job on ¹⁰⁄₃₁ — ¹¹⁄₁.
Here are all the things that went wrong:
1. The installation dept calls me 2 days before and wants to push it out by 5 days. The sales and installation folks don’t talk to each other. I had to step in and make sure they came out on the days promised. (After 4 – 5 phone calls, it became clear that the sales /​adminstrative guy wasn’t going to handle it.)
2. After telling me repeatedly that they would need to order 10−20% extra material to make sure all the edges were handled, they didn’t order enough laminate material. The job stretched until the middle of the following week to get done.
3. When I came by to inspect their work after they had finished, there were numerous issues with it. For one of these issues, I was mistaken; I thought I saw a ripple in the floor, but it was just the light reflecting off a shiny surface. However, there were the issues with the rest of the job:
— There was a noticeable bump in the laminate floor
— They didn’t finish the edge between the entryway and the bathroom. (When I called them out on this, they said it was because they thought I was getting the bathroom done too; I was not.)
— They were short on transition pieces.
— The carpet wasn’t stretched properly under the baseboard. They told me (in a condescending manner) it was because I had picked a cheap carpet. (My choice was mid-​range.)
— One transition piece was installed with nails sticking out. I scratched my feet on it.
— One transition piece was installed with the carpet not properly tucked under.
— They didn’t vacuum the carpet before they left.
— They filled in some sort of caulk between a laminate piece and the door, picking a color that didn’t match the laminate.
4. For the bump in the floor, they brought a spirit level out and tried to show me that it was fine. When I looked at their own tool and pointed out that there was a gap between the level and the floor on either side of the bump, they told me that this was normal. (I disagreed.)
5. For the transition piece that came up short, they said they’d come back and fix it. When they finally came back, the installer came in with a random transition piece (a different color) and argued with me for 45 minutes about how it was close enough. When I pointed out that it was clearly a different color, he told me that he just wanted to finish the job, and that the problem was that I wasn’t happy with the piece. I couldn’t get through to him that it didn’t match; he just kept arguing. When I insisted that they order a new transition piece, it took 3 weeks to get the piece.
6. During the entire process, entire weeks elapsed with no communication from them. I had to keep calling, emailing, and talked with about 5 or 6 different people. I had to be present during the follow-​up installations, at least 5 – 6 extra visits. In all, this cost me nearly 10 hours of time in the unit babysitting the installers and traveling the 7 miles from work, each way, during work hours. I spent another 4 – 5 hours on the phone, calling them over and over for status updates, times when they would show up to finish the job.
8. They offered me no compensation for the 42 day slippage.
9. I believe (from what they told me) that the company (Carpet To Go) makes the employees cover the extra costs and time associated with screw-​ups like this, out of their own pocket. If this is true, this seems like a terrible practice.
10. I want to re-​emphasize this point: it was necessary for me to get involved in the process and make them accountable. They did not follow up on any of the promises they made (for instance, to call me back with a date for an appointment). It was like the proverbial ‘left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing’. It seems like communication within this company is abysmal. I had to repeat myself over and over again.
11. Instead of making appointments, they made me wait all day for a call from them. Most of the time, they wouldn’t call on time. When they did, I would have to drop everything, drive 7 miles each way to meet them, let them in, listen to them argue. Rinse and repeat every few days for nearly 6 weeks.

Earnest customer service but poor follow through. The sign on the door looking for carpet installers should’ve warned me when I went in looking for basement carpet. I placed an order which was delayed 3 times (over a month). They also insisted I would have to visit twice… once for a deposit… once to pay the FULL cost before installation… and then got my credit card number wrong. At this point I said enough and canceled my order. Carpet Liquidators got the job done in a week.

Reported them to the BBB, but they did not respond and are not members. They do not install the carpet properly, make up excuses and overall the communication between workers, sales, and installation is very bad.
They will not stand by their installation warranty. And without that your carpet does not have any longevity. Boo!!!
I should have gone with a better company, and spent more $$$$ It has been 4 weeks since the carpet was supposed to be installed, and it its STILL NOT DONE. I have paid them in full, now I have corners coming up, a stair case that looks and sounds weird, the carpet slips, and the carpet is too short in some areas… I am really unhappy with this company and would not recommend them at all.

Squarely in the realm of first-​world problems is the difficulty and complication of choosing an area rug. What color? What style? What type? How can I live with a mistake? And so on.
We had put off this decision for months, but since we finally moved back into our place after nine months of fire displacement, we wanted to get to work (slowly) on more proper decorating. Living in an old building with hardwood floors, rugs are pretty but practical too in their noise-​reducing capacities, and we also wanted to make the lives of our downstairs neighbors a bit quieter. So we’d looked at many places around town, and either been disappointed with the selection, the price, or both.
Enter Carpet To Go. Seeing that a few other Unilocalers recommended it was a plus, so we excursed down to SODO one day to check it out. So glad we did! When we walked in, we were nicely greeted by Samantha, who explained how we could go about making our selection either by browsing through the various area rug catalogs or choosing a carpet style to have bound instead. Plus, Carpet To Go has an assortment of remnants (good for smaller spaces) also eligible for rug binding. Though we didn’t find a remnant we wanted, we spent some time with the catalogs, and with questions for Samantha, and left with a much stronger sense of what to get. After thinking about it for a few days, we called back, ordered easily over the phone, and had our area rug and runner delivered in a week or so, after picking the carpet pads up at Carpet To Go.
The process throughout was easy, friendly, and we ended up paying much less (for rugs we love) than we had anticipated, given the prices we’d seen at other stores. We have at least two more rugs to buy eventually, and as long as they’re around, Carpet To Go will be our first stop.

warning: this is going to be a maintenance review, you know, one you do because you have to, but not out of sheer joy. I have to, because the service, prices and ease of getting what we needed were top notch so I owe them a review. However, even I can’t balance a sexy, funny flooring review that’s in the least bit useful, so here goes.
We shopped all over town for affordable laminate and found it here. They didn’t have most of them in stock, but can order and have in within just a few days. The prices were better than the big guys (Lowe’s, Home Depot) and there was no pressure like some of the other flooring only stores.
The only improvement I could ask was that there was supposed to be a call to let us know our flooring was in, and somehow that got missed, but it was there, waiting for us and now it’s on my floor, making me happy.
