Every time I walk by their stand, the aroma of roasted nuts, cinnamon, vanilla, maple, wafts by me. At their cash register, they have some nut samples, and I love grabbing some, however the freebies actually deter me from buying the nuts(but please don’t stop keeping them out!!). I usually order a latte, because they are well made and have delicious and alternative milks(almond, soy, hemp, coconut, etc). I’m really impressed by their commitment to having alternatives, even if it costs a bit extra, and I’ve always been 200% satisfied with my order.

Great sweet pecans, they make good coffee drinks and usually have a shorter line than SB. But don’t pull EVERYONE’S drinks AFTERME, THEN serve me. Minus three for the one rude barista. Which seems to happen pretty regularly here judging by other reviews.

When you work at Seattle Center pretty much every weekend, you’re a coffee snob, and your only choices are between $tarbucks and Ceres, I think you know what the choice is. Their coffee is great! And their roasted pecans? SOSO good. My recent discovery was their stand inside Key Arena. Brilliant. Check out their selection of Italian soda flavors, the options are endless. Think of all the combinations you could make…

I really love Ceres! I go there ALL the time to get a delicious cup of coffee. The owner Karen is very sweet and helpful! Also, the employees working in the stand are usually so nice! The only issue I have had is there is a girl with dark hair and an infinity tattoo on the back her neck that isn’t very nice to the other employees and is very cold most of the time when I order from her. She’s not there too often though but besides that I always feel so comfortable with the people!

The best chai I had while in Seattle! It reminded me of the chai I had in India. I did see that it was a pre boxed mix and was disappointed but hey… it still tasted amazing! My husband said his americano was impressive as well. I did burn my tongue and reap the results of that for a couple of day so be careful my husband says it’s my fault because I don’t use proper technique… Whatever that means? I speculate that he’s crazy and the chai was just really hot. :) I also sampled both varieties of roasted nuts(almonds and I believe pecans but it may have been walnuts). They were both really good! I would have bought some if I hadn’t planned on walking all over creation for the next 5 hours without a purse. Kind of regretting not getting any at this point.

I was very excited to go and use my groupon. Hearing so many reviews about how yummy these nuts are. So we went yesterday — Monday, early afternoon. So me and my bestie go to the counter and look at the bags of nuts. Which none of the bags have the weight listed on them. Which is a bit odd. So I notice the woman working there gave us a side glance, but didnt offer to help or assist us in any way. Totally ignored us. Then a group of older people came over and she just perked right up smiling and very nice and friendly. Even asked how they were doing. And Yes me and my bestie are still standing there eyeing each other like ‘I know she sees us «look . Then only after the group left did she speak to us. She was no longer smiling and we didnt get a warm greeting. Came off as if we were bothering her. Received very different attitude. We were dressed just like the other people, very casual — tshirts and pants, but the only difference was — that we were not caucasian. She didnt even make eye contact with us and Unlike how she treated the other people, she didnt ask how we were doing. She just simply asked«How can I help you ?» So we grabbed 2 boxes of pecans and gave her the groupon, which was $ 30 worth of nuts. 2 Boxes were $ 15.99 each. She took back one of the boxes and said this is mixed not pecan and instead of placing it back on the shelf she moved a few boxes around as if we just ruined the whole display by removing 1 box! lol Then she reads the groupon and says«Oh ladies I’m not sure you read this, but it says only 1 per person and the other as a gift, we’ll just say it was a gift wink wink.» We looked at each other like«what?!» Idiot! It says you can only buy 1 groupon but if buying more it must be as a gift. Racist, smug, and dumb. Somehow those 3 always go together. Sad we still have to deal with ignorant people like that here in the Northwest in 2015, so often too. It was a beautiful day and even though we felt that sting of prejudice, she did not ruin our day. We went right outside and talked about how we were treated then had a good laugh at her cluelessness ! lol I can only pray that one day God touches her heart and open her eyes so she can look past color and treat everyone with decency, kindness and respect. P, S, The nuts are delish. But wont be going back after being treated like that.

It said it’s a roasting company. So in my mind they should know coffee better than just a small random kiosk coffee shop. What I got was exactly what I would have gotten at a random kiosk drive thru. Ordered an 8oz latte and a kids hot chocolate. Kid chocolate was bit too hot I had to let it sit for a while before giving it to my kid. The latte came with a big layer of thick foam and the milk was burnt and tasteless. Very disappointed. Their roasted pecan was good. But I will never order another coffee from them.

Service was very good from one girl and normal from another, we ordered a tropical tango smoothie which was pretty good and enjoyable and a iced white mocha which was very very good and an Arnold Palmer which was ok. Really I just didn’t like the Arnold Palmer too much. Other than that it should really have 5 stars.

I was really thirsty when I came. I ordered a 20 oz arnold palmer and a 20 oz strawberry smoothie. It took them 15 minutes to get my order ready. Which is weird because there was no one in line but me. So i dont k ow why it took so long to make 2 drinks. And when i tasted my arnold palmer, it tasted gross. It tasted like they used dirty water to make the tea. I asked for another one and it still tasted bad. Before the lady handed me my drink, i saw her spilling some of the drink when she was walking and she just 0ut the lid on the cup and handed it to me when the cup was dripping wet and sticky on the outside. They gave me a 16 oz smoothie when i ordered a 20 oz. So i told them i ordered a 20 oz. The girl remade the drink by dumping the old smoothie back in and adding some water and fruit and blended it and handed it back to me. I have never had such bad service at a drink stand before. The counters were sticky and the service was slow and poor. They had 3 workers and no one in line so there should be no excuse for a poor performance. Won’t be coming back.

OMG. These nuts are the best confection nuts I’ve ever had! They are expensive but they are also so rich, you may be satisfied with a small handful. The pecans are like manna from heaven. Although manna, I’m sure, was not as delicious as these nuts.

The espresso is delicious I didn’t need to add any honey like I normally do. Drank it black straight up. The beans don’t taste burnt like starbucks. Friendly workers as well. This place gets two thumbs up from me!

While in Seattle, I wanted to try something else beside Starbucks and decided on Ceres since it was the only other option I saw inside the Armory. Ordered a latte and my boyfriend got a Mocha. For price of an 8oz it was kind of expensive. The latte was good but nothing amazing and the Mocha was too sweet for my liking. While waiting for the coffee though, I munched on samples of their almonds and pecans and was hooked. I came back the next day to order some to take home for my family and they loved them! I only wish I purchased more!

These nuts are insanely good and highly addictive. I love that they make them right there in the Armory and you can smell the hot butter and sugar wafting from the stand. Pecans are the clear winner, but occasionally I’ll go for a mixed bag to change things up. They are pricey, but they sometimes offer groupon deals which make the nuts much more affordable. P. S. They make great gifts and are shelf stable for months before going stale.

When I was in Seattle, my goal was to drink ALL the coffee. But in order to have a standard by which to measure each place I went to, I decided to order the same thing at every coffee place — a soy latte. The only other rule was that I couldn’t drink at Starbucks. I was at the Seattle Center for the day, and my options seemed to be Starbucks or Ceres, so I chose Ceres. Even though there was no line, my soy latte took a while, and it was far too hot to actually drink when I got it. Once it cooled down a little, it was just okay. Still better than Starbucks, but probably my least favorite soy latte of all of the ones I had in Seattle.

Inside the big Seattle Center Armory, there is a Starbucks that is always busy. I noticed that there was another coffee option besides Starbucks though, and that was Ceres coffee, a kiosk off to the side. Intrigued, I stopped by to try one of their coffees. Their stand is really cute and I love their pretty logo. They have a rather standard espresso menu. I decided to get an 8oz decaf vanilla latte. The total was around $ 4 or so, which I think is not that cheap for coffee. I was glad that their vanilla shot did not overwhelm the coffee(as some places do), but at the same time, I did not find the latte to be of much flavor. I basically drank warm milk with the slightest hint of vanilla. I guess I am not a huge fan of their espresso beans that they use here. Their latte art was cute though.

I’m at The Armory at Seattle Center about once a week. For some reason, I never thought to try Ceres nuts. It’s an unassuming kiosk that sits on the NW-ish side of The Armory serving nuts, espresso drinks, and such. Even though I had not visited Ceres until recently, I could always smell the sweet aroma of their nuts being roasted. Finally, the day came when I went there to buy a little bag of almonds for myself and pecans/almonds as a gift. I’ve always been a fan of sweet nuts. The almonds are my favorite. The glaze is not so hard that you chip a tooth; not so sweet where you lose track of the almond. It’s a nice balance of flavors that combine to make a snack that you can easily eat, and eat, and eat… and, before you know it, an entire 1 pound bag is gone and you’re not quite sure what happened. After all this time of never going there, I have been there twice in two weeks. Yummy! The staff was super friendly — 1 cashier, 1 packager of nuts, and 1 barista. The last time I went there, the nuts were just coming out. I appreciated them taking the time to explain the bad things that could happen if they put the hot nuts in the plastic bag. I feel their tips helped to preserve the integrity of their product. Even though I was in a rush, I understood that this was worth waiting for. If you’re ever at The Armory, stop by an ask for a sample.
