I loved the appetizers I had here(ahi, fried oysters, and wings) and I had a super delicious cocktail too. I will definitely be back.

This little cute place is absolutely amazing. We got the squash, the beef sliders and the fried rice cakes. The squash was a combination of pomegranate, sunflower seeds, yogurt, and coconut chips– never thought these things would complement each other so well. The beef sliders was very flavorful. Everything so perfect-such a surprise

My parents and I were … whats the right word… «Eh». Service was good, ambience was great but food just wasn’t … there. Portion size was tiny. And Korean food portions are never tiny. We didn’t realize it was a fusion place until we saw the menu. We walked in because we were looking for lunch and happened to be by Pike Place. Seafood pancake: my dad liked it but it was half the size of what we’re used to with a price tag that was more than double. Fried rice cakes: good. I liked it other than the fact that it was straight up just chopped up fried rice cakes. No veggies? :( Bo Ssam: so we were expecting pork belly slices with salted cabbage and kimchi or something but we got something that looked nothing like it. It was just pork belly with chopped up cabbage and vegetables all mixed and pan fried together. I guess we walked in looking for solid Korean food and ended up at a fusion/modern-Korean-twist place.

Mhmm… I love Chan. I’ve always been skeptical of anything that claims to be Korean(or to be more specific, Korean fusion) because I’m afraid that it’s going to be too fussy for my liking. But Chan does Korean fusion really well and I haven’t tried a dish that I haven’t enjoyed. Between the bulgogi sliders, pork belly with kimchi and tofu, and chicken wings… it’s always a fun night of eating. Everything is full of flavor — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The dishes are familiar enough that it reminds me of my mom’s cooking but unique enough that I can justify going out to eat and crave it… often. The service is always great and the drinks are tasty too. Try their flavored makgeolli!

Not a fan of any restaurant that won’t take reservations but besides that if I can’t hold a table for 5 minutes until my party parks seems crazy. If your fine with waiting for a table than cool which most people are ;) Food here is great though and staff is also very quick and helpful. Pork bun here is by far my favorite but they have a unique selection of items to choose from.

CHAN’S. those SLIDERS. those FRIEDRICECAKES. this isn’t the taste that reminds you of your mom’s cooking growing up in a korean family this is that taste that takes you back to that summer you spent in korea eating incredible food day after day and meeting that one that got away and going two sojus too deep in front of a hongdae 7 – 11 waiting for the subway to open up again at 5:30am so you can stumble home in case that wasn’t clear, that’s an amazing taste. go during happy hour(5 – 6:30, possibly all night for bar seats?).

I was visiting Seattle for the weekend to meet up with my cousin for her bday while she was attending a conference. My buddy and I found this place! As someone from LA that frequents KTOWN, I was actually in the mood for some good Korean food. Everything was amazing! The braised short rib, spicy pork bulgogi with lettuce and sesame leaf for wrapping, the seafood pancake, all was great! Our server was super friendly and attentive! I recommend this place to anyone who likes korean food, or wants to try it! Chal mokgessumnida!

My wife and I came in from Houston, TX to visit Seattle and landed in this restaurant based on the reviews. It did not disappoint! Service and food were awesome. Highly recommend any of the appetizers and entrees, I don’t think you can go wrong! We came in right at 5pm, and within minutes the place was packed with a line out the door, which isn’t surprising based on the food! If you are near Pikes Market definitely make a stop here.

The only reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars is because it seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis. The food was good authentic Korean with a few menu items having a contemporary American twist. The atmosphere was dimly lit and a bit swanky. The food itself was awesome. The ahi tuna was legitimately one of the best things I have ever eaten. The kimchi pork belly was flavorful without too much overpowering flavor kimchi can sometimes do. The mushroom japchae was very good as well, but just a tad too sweet. If you want a whole dining experience this could be your place. If you want some delicious traditional Korean food, this place has it, but you could get it somewhere else cheaper with a more authentic atmosphere.

When I visit Seattle for work, I love enjoying both the amazing seafood and the asian food scene as well. I found nice reviews for Chan so I went to have a quick dinner there after arriving. My rating reflects the food, prices and promptness of my dinner. The service was not good. In full disclosure, the server I had was brand new, which she immediately told me in a very awkward way. She clearly needed more training, but I suspect at this smaller restaurant, time to do so was missed or severely shortened. None the less, I will cut some slack there, although hope she improves! Per my Unilocalers, I went with the bulgogi sliders and the chicken wings. Both great recommendations! The sliders were rich with flavor and a nice size. The wings = phenomenal. They were crispy yet tender, spicy yet sweet, sweet but still savory. I mean, how do you make all those things happen at once? Chan does! I will definitely come back to try more of the menu. Great options, nice pricing, and a good location just up the street from Pike’s Market.

Food here was excellent and drinks creative and tasty. But the service here was super slow, friendly but just slow. I enjoyed the sliders and the ahi tuna tartare.

I’ll let you in on a little secret about Pike Place: Chan Seattle. Switch it up from the breads and cheeses of the market and give your taste buds a special treat at this little gem of a restaurant. Between my last few visits to Chan I’ve tried the Bulgolgi Sliders, Spicy Pork Sliders, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Chicken Wings, Pink Makgeolli, and Soju Surprise. I recommend each one highly because they are all equally amazeballs. The spicy sweet flavor of traditional Korean cuisine is very present in many of the dishes, which all pair perfectly with the tasty drinks they offer. Portions are all on the smaller side so be sure to savor every bite. Service is just a cherry on top, ask any of the servers for guidance if you need help deciding what to eat because it’ll be everything. Can’t wait to come back again!

Korean Tapas. MMMmmm, spicy goodness. Gojujiang Chicken Wings. Must try — spicy, earthy, juicy and crunchy. Had to order a second plate. The ahi tatare had an excellent flavor and unami. Good texture and flavor on the fried rice cakes. Had the beef sliders… ok. Went for happy hour, so we sat at the bar. Excellent attentive service. Definitely on the return list!!! Can’t wait to try more of their menu. Hint — It’s location is in the atrium of the Inn at the Market.

Be still my heart. Delicious bites of Korean heaven. The beef sliders and ahi tuna stole the meal. The pork sliders were really tasty but a tad greasy. The roasted squash was a tad dry and a little too weirdly savory with strawberries, but they were very kind to take it off the tab. Was eerily quiet on a Tuesday. Gin and juice off happy hour sealed the meal.

I’ve finally visited this establishment! I came here one evening during happy hour with a friend visiting in town. I had heard that the wings here resemble the Pok Pok wings in Portland, but had to verify for myself. While they are not as good as Pok Pok wings, they will do for Seattle. My friend and I got the 12 piece(not on HH menu), and didn’t talk to each other the entire time! They were indeed finger-lickin’ good. We also ordered the chicken fried rice, which came piping hot in a skillet with a over-easy egg on it. Not really surprised by the chicken fried rice, but it was tasty. Now on to the service, which was not good! Our server messed up our order twice with a couple right next to us, and always left our table confused at what was going on. I saw her make a couple of the same mistakes at other tables, so I just assumed she is new to Chan, but needs to be better trained or write orders down. Overall, very happy with my first visit and cannot wait to be back for actual HH soon. I’ll be dreaming about those wings in the meantime.

This place seems to be a hole in the wall kind of place as noting it’s close to Pike Place, it wasn’t super crowded. Cute dark-ish ambiance, probably would be a place I would want to go on a date to be honest. My sister and I shared the following: Beef Bulgogi Sliders: super good, but waaaay smaller than I expected. Kinda pricey for just getting 2. Meat was flavorful and cooked to a light crisp, and the buns were nicely toasted. Fried Rice Cakes: good, nothing too amazing. Chicken Wings: DELISH! Super breaded and crispy, and the flavor had a nice zing. 6 is ideal to share between two as they give you pretty big sized pieces. Service was friendly and attentive. I’d want to try the seafood pancake or fried rice if I returned.

This place is located in the small alleyway going down hill, going towards pikes market. Hidden gem, the food was extremely good. I went here for my birthday. The flavors are amazing. Not too salty and not too spicy. The buglogi sliders were tasty, bread was not dry and the meat melted in your mouth. The pork kimchi, had very good flavor. It was not all kimchi flavor and the pork also was very melt in your mouth soft. It doesn’t have as much ratings as the surrounding places but this is a SMALL hidden gem of a place. We ordered beer, and 4 items and our bill was around 42 dollars. Must visit once at least

Food: 5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 Popped into Chan’s for a quick bite to tide us over to dinner, and a managed to catch the very end of their happy hour. Sat at the bar. The fried oysters were delicious, sweet and tender and perfectly fried. Not tough, fishy, or dripping in too much grease. They came with a perfectly paired kimchi tartar sauce which had a lovely flavor. The bulgogi sliders were the highlight of our quick stop. The two sliders had light crunch buns with a heavenly bulgogi filling that was salty, umami, with a hint of sweet. It was topped with a cucumber kimchi(great counterpoint of sour/vinegar) and a chili mayo. Would definitely come back and gorge on the bulgogi sliders!

I know this restaurant has been around for awhile. I didn’t try it until recently and wow I wish I had visited here earlier! I came here during its HH that runs from 5PM(opening) to 6:30PM. My friend and I started with the homemade kimchee jar and it was really spicy. Not sure if I’d pay $ 4 for it again. However, the bulgogi sliders were so good! For HH, you get 2 instead of the normal 3 servings. Then I got the braised short rib plate for $ 14. And it was so good! The onion balls and sauce made it so flavorful. It was really good. I highly recommend it. They also have a bar where you can sit just to enjoy a drink. You get to see the actions through its semi-opened kitchen. Ideal for a date spot or small group! Will be back!

This place is terrific! I came here during the happy hour and basically got everything off the menu and it was all delicious. I would definitely come back(and am planning a trip this week actually). I got the bulgogi sliders as recommended by some other Unilocalers. Delicious. I also got the friend rice cakes and the calamari, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The calamari was different than I’ve had in other restaurants(there was some arugula and veggies), very delicious! Outside of the happy hour menu, I got the vermicelli noodles and short ribs. Both great choices! I personally am a huge fan of clear noodles, so I was very happy. The short ribs came as a good portion and was tender and flavorful. My friend and I were stuffed after this.
