Glad to see them at the Taco Truck Challenge. Wonderful cheesesteaks!

The food is fine and I consider it one of the better food trucks out there. The cost of the meal is in line with the cost of other food trucks. $ 8 for a ½ lb organic beef burger is reasonable to me. It’s better than a $ 6 grilled cheese or $ 8 burrito. The taste was good. I did feel things were a little more salty than preferred but it might be because I ordered fries. I’m sure you can request no salt. Toppings and sauces cost extra so be aware of that when they ask.

We ate from the food truck and it was great. Super friendly service, too. I had a veggie patty burger and my husband the chipotle cheesesteak. Both of us had the onion rings. All of it was delicious and we look forward to the truck coming to the Ridgecrest Public House, again.

Not very good. The best thing about our lunch at a brewery was the honey mustard dip that probably came from a bottle. Tater tots were fine. Burger tasted like it had been rolled in salt. Really couldn’t even eat it. I wouldn’t do it again.

They have a new location in white center and figured I would give it a try. $ 15 bucks for buger and soda and it was crap. Im sure they used frozen patties or the way they cooked the burger, it was hard like cardboard. freakin crap Do yourself a favor and go to The Westy Sports & Spirits or Zippys 5 mins away for a much better burger experience. or even Mcdonalds!

Being that it’s a new restaurant in white center I definitely had to give it a go. Very nice in the inside, clean and urban. I ended up ordering Togo, pepper jack burger and tater tots. The condiments on the burger was delicious and the tater tots lack of salt, it was little to nothing. As for the burger patty. It was not the best thing, probably one of the worst I’ve ever taste almost similar to cardboard. Dry, crispy on the outside and over seasoned. As for the cook and cashier they were very nice and welcoming. I’d probably come back if I wanted some fries or taters Togo.

The new restaurant that just opened is amazing! Amazing space! Very urban on the inside and the colors they have just bring everything together. Very friendly staff and quick service. Plus, the picture of Charlie just brings it all in! The food: Hands down amazingly delicious! The chipotle cheesesteak is so good! Add on a side of sweet potato tater tots and your taste buds will be in pure heaven! But let’s be honest, anything from here is delicious! I highly recommend everyone to come down and try them out if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed!

Had the pepper jack burger. It was a good burger(jalapeño, spicy mayo, and cheese on a frozen patty) but I don’t think it was worth the $ 9. It was just ok. The menu has enough choices of «gourmet» burgers, vegetarian, chicken, and pastrami sandwiches but I don’t think I would do this one again… unless it was the only option available like it was today.

The meat was terrible, way over-cooked, dry, and over-seasoned. I seriously regret giving them money and not checking reviews first… $ 12.75 for a terrible burger and fries. I would rather have any fast food burger over this.

So here’s the deal… When you cook a burger, one of the cardinal sins is to use the back of your spatula to smash the patty with all your might as it’s being cooked. This results in dry, disgusting meat whose flavor has escaped into oblivion. Don’t even bother with this food truck. Amateurs overcharging for butchered food.

Won’t be back again, due to the rude customer service I just witnessed. So I’m waiting in line to take my order and the guy in front of me has an issue with his order. He brought the issue up to the big head cook, but the cook’s response was basically«you’re lying, its not on the ticket.» The jerk even goes as far as to shoving the ticket in the patrons face and showing that his request wasn’t on it. After a bit of huffing and puffing he waddles to the front of the truck to talk to the cashier that wrote the ticket, and wouldn’t you know it, it turns out she was responsible for the incorrect ticket order and not the bewildered customer. The miserable bum of a cook then shuffles his way back to the food pick up window and informs the now hungry, insulted customer that he’ll have to wait a little while longer while they make his correct order. The cook doesn’t give the slightest attempt to acknowledge how big of a jerk he was to him earlier nor apologize for the inconvenience of the wait. When the poor customer’s order is finally ready, the cook just shoved the guy his food and said that it was a «communication error». No «Sorry for your inconvenience» or «My apologies for being a complete asshole to you earlier» or anything remotely apologetic for the awful and abrasive service the guy just had to endure. Please don’t waste your time nor your money on this joint. There are plenty of fine establishments in the area that would be more appreciative of your business, and they won’t attempt to humiliate you when they make a mistake with your order.

This food truck was the official vendor for the Fremont Outdoor Movies. I ordered a basic burger and fries. The burger was extremely disappointing, and I ended up not even being able to eat half of it. The meat was over peppered and extremely salty to the point that it didn’t even taste like a burger anymore. On top of the burger tasting poorly, it also is expensive at $ 8+ dollars. The only reason I am giving more than 1 star is due to the fact that the fries were fine, even though they did not provide ketchup.

If amazing food and unprofessional, crusty customer service, with a snapback attitude is your cup of tea, please come visit. Otherwise put them at the bottom of your list… we had shady shady service at the Fremont Outdoor Movie… the woman taking our orders was fast and friendly… thankfully. She saved the day. Homeboy calling the numbers needs some coaching… please treat and serve your customers better. We LOVED the food and hope that this treatment was an «off» experience.

The cheese steak wasn’t all that bad, but the sweet potato tots were horrendous. I’m am absolute nut for all things sweet potato, but these were overly sweet — it almost tasted like they added sugar to them. They also weren’t cooked all the way through, so I could feel chucks of slightly undercooked when I was chewing. Not at all appetizing. Probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

Now I grew up on the East Coast and getting a good cheesesteak there is pretty simple. Apparently no so here in the PNW. They have been hard to find and when I do they tend to be pretty bad. I don’t get the craving very often but when I do I can’t fly back to Philly so where does a guy go? Charlie’s stops by my office every week and this is the second time that I’ve tried them and they make a pretty good Cheesesteak. Other people have commented on their burgers and I don’t know about them. I come for the Cheesesteak. It is a pretty straightforward cheesesteak with grilled onions and mushrooms. They use provolone cheese which is alright by me — couldn’t get use to Cheese Whiz like they use in Philly. The portions are pretty heavy so if your hungry you will be satisfied. I believe I’ve found my cheesesteak fix in the PNW now.

Not at all impressed. First off, the only reason I give this two stars is the tater tots were crispy and tasty. The burger was a different story. The $ 8 price was a little high. The burger was pre-pattied and felt like it was a bulk order from sysco. At first bite there was a nice seasoning on top, then a very bland taste. The toppings were just average and it was a ridiculous $ 1 to add jalapenos. Additionally any other sauces for fries or the burger were 75cents for a partial filled 2 oz container. Such a rip off. My burger and tots was close to $ 13 after tax and not worth it. I can get a way better burger somewhere else for the same price or better.

We visited their booth today at the Wallingford Family Festival. Prices are outrageous($ 8 for a 1⁄3 lb. frozen beef patty with unripe tomatoes and soggy lettuce on a bun), food is «meh», and service was terrible. It took nearly a half hour from the time we ordered until we had the last of our food. None of the food came out at the same time(or even close to it), meaning our fries were cold and my wife was finished with her $ 5 plain hotdog before my cheeseburger even hit the grill. I understand that they were one of the only food vendors at this popular event, but their employees were not making the food a priority. I will not be visiting their truck in the future.

It’s most definitely edible, but nothing really special for 8 bucks. For the cheeseburger, the bun kind of tastes like McDonalds, the patty is on the dry & overcooked side, veggies are OK and they only throw mustard and ketchup. I’ve also had the onion ring burger and and the mushroom burger are found them interesting to the palate. More flavors I guess…

Veronica and her staff always have a smile for me, friendly conversation, and great food! Food — I primarily eat burgers at Charlie’s. Although it’s a little big for me, you definitely get a bang for your buck. When I took my first bite, the quality of the meat really hit me. One of my favorites is the PB&J — burger, peanut butter, bacon, cheese, and jalapeño jelly. I love those flavors together! Social Media — In order to have a successful truck, a vital component is keeping fans informed about where you’re going to be with a strong social media presence. Charlie’s is great about keeping a regular route and letting fans know when that will change. Also, they are very responsive on social media, which is important in building relationships. I must have tweeted a dozen times with Veronica before we really«met» in person. Greenlake — I was really happy to see Charlie’s get a location on the lake. There is such a lack of food options on that side and let’s face it, sometimes it’s just way too far to make it on an empty stomach. I also love the distinctive red color that can be seen all the way from the other side. Customer Service — I often find Veronica cooking in the truck. I love when she brings the food to the window so I get to say«hello.» For me, food is important but I also enjoy that friendly smile and rapport. I even stop to chat when I’m not eating at Charlie’s. Thanks for all you and the staff do! Keep on truckin’!

I ordered the Spicy Burger($ 9): a 1⁄3 lb organic beef patty, topped with pepperjack cheese, chipotle mayo, and sliced jalapenos on a brioche bun. This mouthful of a burger gets mixed reviews. I appreciated the melted cheese, chipotle mayo, and jalapenos for an attempt at «spicy.» However, I guess my taste buds are used to extremely spicy foods, because I detected next to zero spice in my burger. The patty was OK, but just slightly overcooked. Finally, while the bottom bun was soft, the top part of the brioche bun was heavy and dense. A soft toasted bun(that can hold everything in place) can really play a big factor in a great burger experience. When looking at the online menu, I saw Charlie’s offers a PB burger. Yes, that’s right, peanut butter and bacon with their 1⁄3 lb organic beef patty. I would have loved to try that, but apparently it was not on the truck menu at the time of my visit. Oh well, maybe next time. Charlie’s burgers have potential. For right now, it was an average first experience.
