Chinese Acupuncture Clinic-Yun Wang

Dr. Wang has worked wonders for our family and we are believers in Chinese medicine for sure. My husband went to see him after a bout of major insomnia and he prescribed some herbs that have not only dealt with the sleep issues, but treated the underlining issues as well. It helps if you’ve done some research beforehand, but Dr. Wang is intuitive and personable. We highly recommend you give him a try if traditional medicine isn’t working.

is both comprehensive in his acupuncture & as a herbalist. I have been seen by MD’s, ND’s, MSOM’s, and LMP’s and have never had such drastic results in caring for my adrenal fatigue caused by Chronic Lyme Disease. He is a wonderful second opinion… I only say 2^nd, because the documentation is all in Chinese (great if you speak/​read the language). He would be willing to translate, but I think that would be a waste of his time, which is better spent healing people. He explains things in lamens terms and has wonderful bedside manner.
The storefront is unconventional for a Dr’s office, but I like that I don’t feel like my money is going into the overhead of a large clean superficial space… it all goes into patient care.
Often when I come in to pick up herbs he will give me more information on my health status, because he’s been able to think about it for a period of time… I’ve never had that from the past dozen US certified docs.
Dr. Yun Wang, though seemingly unconventional by U.S. standards gives the utmost in care, wellness and understanding. I highly recommend him to anyone with a complicated illness… and even for lesser ailments.

The first time I saw Dr. Wang, I was skeptical of acupuncture (much less Chinese herbs), but was in tremendous pain that my general doctor, a physical therapist, chiropractor, naturopathic doctor and masseuse couldn’t help, and he permanently cured the problem and provided immediate pain relief. Since then he has helped with other ailments. I’ve even had great success with his many herbal teas and other medicines. You can tell from his confidence (and performance) that he knows exactly what he is doing, and is very talented.

Dr. Wang is an amazing acupuncturist and herbalist. His custom herbs don’t come cheap (about $ 100 per batch) but they are well worth every dime! I’ll spare you the details, but trust me — my situation went from very bad to very good in just 2 weeks of medicinal tea.
His bottled herbs and tea are arguably less pricey (I’ve paid anywhere between $ 15-​$ ²⁰⁄₁₀₀ capsules) but in my experience, he’s only recommended them for continued maintenance of a condition, or else as a remedy for a more common ailment (i.e. a muscle relaxant). In general, though, he mentioned that the fresh-​dried herbs he mixes for tea are much, much stronger than the capsules.
Acupuncture is about $ 90 per session, no appointments needed. I appreciate that he is very accessible, and his knowledge is seemingly boundless. (And no wonder — He told me once that he began his studies in China at the age of 14!) He is also exceptionally kind, and exceedingly patient. He will also do all he can to help patients afford the herbs they need.
I highly recommend Dr. Wang to anyone with a chronic illness, as his remedies are curative. And I especially recommend him to anyone who has had a traumatic experience with the western medical scene.

Dr. Wang is extraordinarily gifted as an acupuncturist. My family and I have gone to him for years, off and on, for a variety of needs. In each case he was able to correctly discern the problem and treat it appropriately. I highly recommend Dr. Wang if you have any health issues.

This was my first experience with acupuncture so I don’t have anything for comparison, but there are some things I do know to expect.
Dr. Wang himself is very nice. My nerves were settled by the fact that he’s been doing acupuncture for 30 years and teaching it for 15 at the doctorate level. Both sessions I’ve had with him I found noticeable relief immediately. And for that, I am grateful! I was so distracted by pain before my first session, I had forgotten my wallet. He was very kind and had no problem receiving my payment today (my second treatment).
What I don’t appreciate is the fact that once I left today, I felt swindled and mislead. While I was on the table right after my first session (still in my shirtless, blissed-​out state) he asked me if I’d like some herbs. I didn’t realize that we weren’t going to have the chance to talk about what they were or how much they were going to be. I said «yes» but expected to have that discussion once I was dressed and in more of an appropriate setting (at checkout). Well, when I got to the front desk he handed me the herbs and was kind enough to send me on my way trusting I would pay next session. (That was nice!) Today, as I checked out I found out that my bill was almost $ 200! Mind you, this included only 2 sessions copay ($ 15 each) and those darn herbs. The herbs are specifically blended for each client so they are nonrefundable. That sticks because I would have NEVER purchased them if I knew they were that expensive! Not that I don’t think they will be beneficial, just that I’m not in a place where I can afford them right now. It is hard for me to be rude to folks so I bit my tongue, was very pleasant and didn’t show that I was displeased. The fact that he didn’t ask me to make another appointment (even though my shoulder pain is very noticeable to both of us) proves to me that he KNEW that what he did was wrong.
That was the main complaint that compelled me to to write this review. There are a couple of other things though that irked me. When I booked this session a few days ago, I said I had a client coming for an appointment at my practice at 1. He said a noon appointment would give me plenty of time. When I arrived for my noon appointment, he had another patient waiting to see him for a noon appointment too. We both felt awkward and rushed as we were in the waiting room together. I offered for her to go first. My session proceeded and was very nice. But my timer went off and I could hear him running around, dealing with other patients and answering phone calls for likely 10 minutes longer. I started to get antsy because I knew a lot of time had passed and that I was cutting close on time. By the time I left the clinic, it was 1:15 and didn’t get home until 1:30! I was obviously very late for my appointment.
I hope that this situation was unique and not his standard way of business. He seemed like such a trustworthy man. Clearly I will not return.

Be aware of this Dr. I found him to overexaggerate what he can do, he will keep on setting appointments for as long as he can and he has an unclean environment.
