The coffee is ok, but some of the staff are kind of rude. I won’t be back to this shop.

Chocolate lovers’ dream café. Super chill place. Tons of hot cocoa options and chocolate truffle selections. It’s a cute place with friendly servers. Open late and have lots of seating but needs more chairs upstairs. Bathrooms were kinda nasty though.

This café is open late and has some of the best hot chocolate! They have variations of types of hot chocolate that you can try and they make it all individually. This is not the powder stuff, this is real liquid melted chocolate and the flavors are always changing. They also sell coffee and tea and chocolates. This is a great café to just sit down and relax and read a book or do homework. PRO: Hot Chocolate TRY: Hot Chocolate

Came here to study for a midterm. I ordered a mocha and it was super rich and chocolatey. The drink lasted the whole 3 hours I stayed there. But I think I left it sitting for too long because when it cooled there was a huge chunk of chocolate sitting at the bottom of the mug. I’m a huge chocolate lover but was not able to eat that chunk of chocolate straight up because of how rich it was in flavor. The coffee shop has seating in the back and upstairs. Overall it was somewhat dim, like most coffee shops.

This place stays open until 10pm and has great coffee. 3 stars for less than friendly staff + other. | a t m o s p h e r e | This place is studious and wooden. It looks like a bar out of the 1800s that now serves stale chocolates and great coffee. There is a lot of seating with 2 upstairs loft areas. | c h o c o l a t e s | We ordered several different chocolates and all of them tasted either old, like it has been sitting in the case for months or wayyy too rich making them inedible. We were excited to see their affordable prices but after trying them, I’ll have to say they are over priced for what you get. They also place them in a pastry bag all-together and they don’t keep their appearance, as they would if they were in a box. You’re better off buying specialty chocolates at franz or theo’s. | c o f f e e | Their espresso packed a good smooth flavor. It was very good. It was ordered and ready on the bar quickly. It’s a shame chocolate is in their name because their coffee far exceeds it. They sell packaged chocolates, some pastries, and they also have wine available. {odd experience} I had my phone out to look at the menu because I didn’t have my glasses and was utilizing the zoom feature(ghetto fab) and the barista’s face turned sour and she passively without eye contact said«great take photos of us without asking us» and then continued to mumble«at least ask first gosh». I played it off and told her what I was doing kindly but I was very put off by this. Super unprofessional and whiny. No one is taking pictures of you, girl. She was friendly after that but it left a bitter taste to our experience there.(no pun intended). it’s the 21st century, pictures are free game.

This is such a cute café! I was intrigued by the different kinds of hot chocolate offered, and the moment I walked in, I knew I had made a good choice. The atmosphere was warm, with some people studying and working on laptops and others chatting with friends. The baristas were super friendly and helpful with drink suggestions. I ended up getting the Dark Vader hot chocolate(raspberry and dark chocolate), which was delicious and rich. My friend got the lavender hot chocolate, which she really enjoyed! We loved the upstairs seating, which had a cool lamp, board games, and interesting windows. It felt like we were in a familiar old attic. I’ll definitely go back if I’m in the area! I’d love to try the other hot chocolates :)

Usually at the Chocolati in Greenwood, recently was at the Green Lake one, so it was inevitable to stop in the Wallingford location. Plenty of seating in this two level café. The interior is brick red warm and two sets of creaky stairs to the second floor. Ducked in here due to parking karma, and yes, the iced mocha is perfectly crafted. Purchased half a dozen truffles just because. Chocolati in Wallingford is a great location to hang out, chat, read, write, and stare onto ones laptop.

When visiting my friend, she suggested Chocolati as a must stop for some hot chocolate. We stopped in on a cold and rainy afternoon and it was thee best decision everrrr. Warms your icy heart right up. Rich, smooth and velvety(no, I’m not describing the date of your dreams) you will be left feeling satisfied with a little pep in your step after fueling up on this divine drink. Everything is very decadent but if you can handle the creaminess, this is the spot for you. Oh and did I mention you get a FREE truffle if it is your first time to the café. I will definitely be back again soon!

I’m a big BIG fan of chocolate but I just don’t like this place. I really want to because the people working here are so nice and they give out free chocolates for first timers. However, I found the hot chocolate to be VERY rich. It was almost like drinking melted chocolate with a splash of milk. This place does have it’s positives though such as cute novelty chocolates shaped like the space needle. I also found their truffles extremely affordable starting at $ 1.30 a piece. There are also board games upstairs and a big table for groups. Great atmosphere but chocolate is too overbearing.

This shops chocolate is delicious, decadent and rich! The mocha and strawberry drink my friend ordered equally as good! Only reasons I did not give a 5 star is based on 2 factors. The upstairs seating is a nice way to look down on the Wallingford activity however it clearly needs an overall window cleaning and damp cloth dusting. I’m not speaking of a little dust but a thick coat of dust over the windows and dead bees and debri on the upstairs tables — this area needs some tlc time in order to open up for the summer. Then there was the in house cup my drink arrived in which had a crack all the way down the inside — time to toss this one away and take the loss!

This is a great little café and the chocolate was fabulous. The staff where very friendly and the design is every bit what I would expect to find in Seattle. On a short weekend trip up from San Diego, the shops I’m finding are such a treat from the corporate, fast paced hustle and bustle of SoCal. If I’m up here again I the area this will definitely be a stop.

As a no coffee drinker(yeah I get it, coffee is a thing here in Seattle ;)) I’m always more than happy to find places with good(hot) chocolate. A friend recommended Chocolati and so I had to step in as I was in the neighborhood. Good for me it was a quiet day and I had all the time I needed to decide what I would get. I ordered a classic hot chocolate and some chocolate truffles for at home. The hot chocolate was pretty good, I am curious about all the other varieties they offer, so I have to come back soon! Service was good, the location is super cozy and it smells so delicious!

Very cozy hot chocolate place. Friendly staff and lots of options. Had the dark chocolate hot chocolate which was very yummy and reasonably priced at 3.50. Old wooden motif with lots of places to sit and work. There were plenty of plugs. Wi-Fi was not the best.

Their handmade chocolates and hot chocolate drink is to die for. They have variety of flavors in chocolate like coconut, hazelnut, truffle etc. They have dark as well as milk chocolates too.

A cozy, yummy smelling spot that seems to be a good place to get some work done over some sweet treats and drinks. Even on a friday evening, there were many with laptops out(my condolences to these poor souls). There are two upstairs balconies with couches and tables. Unlike some other cafes I’ve been to where the lofts are incredibly hot, the air was on and helped cool down the upper levels — making it comfortable. The house hot chocolate is DELICIOUS. It’s very rich but not sickening. Even if you’re trying to shave off a few calories to be «healthy», just say yes and get the whipped cream — because it is amazing and unlike anything I’ve had before. The only thing I wish is that the hot chocolate was served with a spoon. It cools down quickly and you end up with a lot of chunky chocolate which makes the beverage turn from incredibly smooth to chunky and gritty. Love that they have a variety of chocolates and food items too. There are punch cards and you can leave yours in the basket so you’ll never forget it. Chocolati is a winner in my book and I’m not even a fan of chocolate. Impressive!

L O C A T I O N You can see this place when you’re driving the main street. It’s one of those shops with a cool name that you’ll say you’ll try the next time you see it. I came here during the evening time and parking was somewhat difficult since the residential spots were taken(Don’t try parking in the QFC lot, someone actually checks if you’re a QFC shopper). Walking in the freezing cold made me want hot chocolate even more S E R V I C E Baristas were friendly and super patient(if you don’t know what to order or have a hard time picking what to get). They joke around and make you feel welcomed. F O O D I got the special dark hot chocolate and it was CHOCOLATELY! Warm chocolate niblets with every sip. The niblets is what makes Chocoalti unique. When you sip into your drink the niblets melt in your mouth. You have to try it to understand what I’m talking about. They also have chocolate truffles for sale and they are delicious as well! S T U D Y This place is great for studying. There are two upstair rooms to pick. They both have decent size tables to splay out your laptop and notebook. They also have free WiFi(you’ll need to get the password from one of the baristas). Ambience is casual so chatting is fine. I like coming here when I’m not drinking coffee(They do have coffee options when you’re in the mood for it). Overall, This place has solid service and the food/drinks are great!

I’ve got to say, Chocolati definitely gets props for the serious flavor and time they seem to put into their uniquely flavored hot chocolates. That being said, the Aztec hot chocolate I got was WAY too spicy to drink. I like heat, I like spicy things, Szechuan cuisine is my preferred dinner of choice, but this was complete overkill. I gave up after a few sips. The boy had a similar experience with his drink, unfortunately. Service was also weirdly unfriendly here, too. Maybe it’s just a Seattle thing I’m not used to? But not a great experience at Chocolati.

The barista said to another customer«The ratio is important», as I sipped my Chocolati hot coco and settled into my happy place. I watched him prepare 3 drinks with care. He was unconcerned with the amount of time it took. He only cared about making it taste as delicious as possible. That’s everything I want in a barista, chef, and whoever else is involved with food and drink preparation. You can just tell when someone enjoys what they do for a living. It’s like witnessing art in the making. I’m glad I stopped by. Oh, And it’s absolutely true first timers get a free truffle :)

I forgot to mention that Chocolati makes awesome favors for weddings! I was in a wedding and they use elements of Chocolati in their wedding! For the bridesmaids gifts, the bride had customized chocolate dipped fortune cookies that had quirky and funny sayings in them. Not only were they super cute but they were yummy! For the wedding itself, they had an entire bar set up of different chocolate truffles and candy from Chocolati! Seriously the best candy bar I’ve seen to date. They also made these chocolate trees/bushes that the wedding party could take home! I’ll post a picture of these elements! They also had their wedding rehearsal at Chocolati. We were able to eat a lot of candy and try their delicious drinks before the wedding. Even if you’re not getting married, you should pop by one of their stores for some tasty drinks and chocolates. Now that I’m planning my own wedding, I immediately thought of Chocolati for my own wedding favors and dessert bar. They ship outside of Seattle, too! I highly recommend them! Love the owners — they are the best!

My friend recommended this place and I really wanted hot chocolate! Plus it finally snowed in Seattle so I decided to check this place out. As other Unilocalers mentioned, their happy hour is 4−6PM, and it’s $ 7 for a glass of wine and 2 truffles! Which is totally worth it since each truffle is about $ 1.50. When I stepped it, it definitely had a small, cozy café feel. This would be a great place to chill with a book or talk with a friend(assuming you can find a spot because this place is pretty popular!) A lot of people come here to study, so it’s not too loud. They have two upstairs patios which is pretty nice. I ended up getting the Turtle Hot Chocolate and I loved it! I usually don’t like things that are too sweet, but the hot chocolate wasn’t that sweet. Plus, it was very rich in chocolate, but not overly so. I can’t wait to come back and try their Sea Salt Hot Chocolate over the winter :) I also tried a bite of my friends’ truffles and they were really good as well. Super rich in chocolate flavor and definitely worth the money. I’ll have to come back here one more time before adding that last star!
