I always make time to stop by this place whenever I’m in town. The interior is kinda old, but clean. It’s actually very roomy inside compares to many restaurants I’ve been to around the neighborhood. The owner/chef/cashier is super nice, sweet, and very attentive. I always ordered x-large Mongolian bowl and my boyfriend ordered either chicken teriyaki, chicken & beef, or chicken & gyoza. The food and the meats marinate sauce were always tasty. I like how the meat they use is lean. You know when you get a piece of good meat if you don’t have to chew on fat or gristles. I hope this place stay in business for a long time. Go Choi’s!!!

This place is a joke! I’m sorry that I even came in to get food here! I didn’t receive my correct order so I had to of course go back to the place because the gentleman running the place didn’t understand me! I received someone else’s order — I put gobs of pork & chicken plus pineapple in my original order & there was literally 1 or 2 lil pieces of meat &2 kinds of noodles in my order. I only put egg noodles in my order I wound up w/egg noodles & flat white noodles! Don’t tell me I don’t know what type of noodles I put w/my order & don’t remember what I added! 1st I’m part Asian & know noodles of all types! 2nd I remember what type of ingredients I put in my bowl — this isn’t my 1st rodeo!

Went back for more after sitting at Patty’s Eggnest being ignored by the wait staff. I will only eat here if I’m eating locally because the consistent quality to their food. You get what you expect from the last time you had a great tasting meal there before.

I go here semi regularly. The selection available meets my needs so I have no complaints on food. Could stand to use some upkeep if we are just talking about store presentation, but I’m there to eat, not to stare at the walls. Noteable to add: unlike a lot of teriyaki places, he uses decent rice so you can reheat it the next day(a plus in my book).

Price is too much for what you get. Many other Mongolian grills offer a second trip. Also, owner tried to save money by turning gas off to grill so long wait for grill to heat and then cook the food. Would look elsewhere.

I came here a couple of days ago with my boyfriend because we were craving Mongolian grill. At first we were skeptical because the inside of the restaurant was pretty dirty(sticky tables, dirty bathroom, smudgey tv, just an overall dirty feeling in the dining area — the cooking/food area didn’t seem dirty). However, they had a quite a variety of food to choose from, including pineapple, which is my must-have for any Mongolian grill restaurant, a variety of meats, 3 or 4 types of noodles, and tons of vegetables. They also have 2 bowl sizes, with different prices, which is great! Once we finished filling up our bowls, we handed them to the chef, told him which sauce we’d like our food cooked with(I chose teriyaki — it was delicious!), and he cooked our food while we sat down. Despite the sticky tables, we were pleasantly surprised and hugely satisfied with the food. ITWASDELICIOUS!!! Seriously, some of the BEST Mongolian grill I’ve ever had(and I’ve had Mongolian grill that was $ 50 a bowl). My boyfriend really enjoyed the food, as well. In short, we agreed that the food was amazing, and we’ll definitely go here again, but we’ll probably get it to go next time so we can eat at a cleaner table at home.

Pretty decent spot, you can tell that this is a consistent eatery for people in the neighborhood. As far as Mongolian grills go, it’s got what you need– all the meats, veggies, basic oils, noodles and sauces. The wait was about 15 minutes after handing my food over to the chef to slice and dice it all up. Nothing fancy about this spot but nothing bad either. Pretty basic, solid spot to get Mongolian eats for decent price. Located in a side store front in the Holman Road QFC parking lot. If you have a chill Saturday or Sunday to go eat and then take a nap, this is the spot for you.

Not the absolute best teriyaki and yakisoba I’ve ever had, but very good and the portions are huge. Everything else is excellent, so far. Fresh food prepared by an expert. It’s a pity such a fine restaurant is trapped in the body of a disused drugstore.

If you want a low key restaurant, this is a great local spot to support. I made a tofu bowl. It is a very reasonably priced lunch as the medium bowl was plenty of food for me. Pile on the fresh jalapenos :) Service is great and they are very friendly. The décor — It’s clean and well organized, but a little bland. Choi’s is in my «lunch spots near home» rotation!

Nice little lunch spot for self setup of $ 9.95 bowl of whatever you make of it. In my case, I placed a little of all three meat options plus egg noodle, onion, scallion, garlic and they finished prep with Mongolian sauce. I would have taken a photo for you but the plate wasn’t very complex or interesting to look at — all brown. My fault. But it tasted great. Side orders are recommended. Tried the Gyoza. Will be back for others.

**UPDATE** I did go back… Because I do love Mongolian! It appears they are under new ownership, or have simply changed their policy. The Mongolian ‘self serve’ area appears the same, but it has gone back to simple pricing. One price for a medium bowl and one price for a large bowl. No more ‘add on dollar” or up-charge if you are over a specific weight for your bowl… As before, I feel the selection of meat(although frozen) and vegetables are fresh and plentiful. And the overall end product is good. I do agree with some other posts here; the restaurant itself is bland and at times boring. There is no background music and on the few occasions I have ‘eaten in;’ if the TV is on; it is so low you cannot hear it. I would suggest ‘carry out…’

Pretty unappealing once you walk in. Wish they had more choices for the stir fry. They only have a few sauces and the curled frozen meat wasn’t striking my fancy. Just okay overall.

I do love Mongolian grill a little too much. This place also has teriyaki. Best of all they have tofu which so many places continue to lack. Lots of items to add to the Mongolian grill including some of my favorites, black olives and cilantro. I was a little confused about how you add the oil and the sauces as this is a bit of a different set up from places I am used to going. It was also nice to have the choice of different size bowls, although I do prefer an all you can eat place since its more fun to attempt different combinations of items until you make the perfect masterpiece bowl. I hear the teriyaki is pretty good too. I’m glad I have discovered this and hope to make it back in the future.

Really great, friendly service. The food was pretty good. The noodles were fresh and easily the best part. I would avoid the meat since it’s frozen, very thinly sliced cheaper quality meat, but it certainly wasn’t awful. It’s by no means a fancy place. Very low frills, but sometimes that is just as fun. You literally walk in, grab a bowl and just start piling. Very reasonable prices. I’ll be back for sure.

If you’re craving a steaming bowl of delicious noodles, look no further than Choi’s Mongolian. I ate plenty of Mongolian BBQ in high school and, in my experienced opinion, Choi’s Mongolian Grill stands out in Seattle. It wouldn’t last in California but here, well, its good enough. Sadly, the place is dingy and rundown. The décor is shabby and you bus your own tables. But the BBQ is cooked up really well and tastes divine. You grab a bowl(large or extra-large) and fill it up with sliced meat, fresh veggies, and sauces. After you pay, the manager cooks it on the large wok and brings it to your table. Tea is complimentary. Nothing like a bowl of steaming mongolian noodles on a cold winter day.

Short and sweet. They cook well. They don’t seem to enjoy their work — and I don’t blame them, but it is a vibe that spreads out to the dining room. I think the real problem with this place is the layout and the vibe — it’s clean enough, the prices are right, and I’ve eaten here about a dozen times but have finally given up. I think they need one of those TV interventions, improve their attitude, redecorate a little, lose the TV, and then this will be a place worth coming back to.

Good and fresh selection of vegetables along with some noodles/meat choices. This place is clean and not crowded, so the line containing the food was actually still nice and the presentation still in tact(I typically don’t like it when these types of places are crowded and the ingredients look like they have been picked through many times by the customers before me). Once I got my bowl filled up, a guy at the cashier(I think he’s the owner) rang the cashier. He asked kindly(you can tell from his voice that he’s a genuinely, kind person!) if I wanted for to eat there or to go and was really polite with packing my food for me. The guy even went back to help his cook(the guy who actually does the stirfry) with filling up my box with rice, holding the box so that the cook could put my finished stirfry in it. Overall, a good choice for a quick meal at Choi’s Mongolian Grill and I will probably go back there again if I’m around for an appointment around that area again. The food is much lighter and healthier than what Panda Garden in the QFC nextdoor offers.

I was bummed after my co-workers got food poisoning from this place. I used to go there once a month the past year and a half. They have great tasting food for a reasonable price, but I don’t think I want to risk getting sick because I have a weak immune system. If you do go, their frozen yogurt is amazing and cheap! I’d like to point out that they make you pick up your own orders at the counter, pick up your own utensils, drinks and put away your own dishes. If that bothers you, this isn’t the place for you. It’s almost insulting to ask for a tip when you do all the work for them and they aren’t earning it. But that’s just my opinion.
