Sandy ran Clothes Encounters for years, sold the business, but now is back again under the name Fit 4 U alterations. Attentive service, and really excellent work. She knows clothes and how both good and bad clothes are constructed. Often able to come up with creative solutions to tough fitting issues.

I took the offending jacket to Adam Tailoring & Alterations in Pioneer Square to have the sleeves lengthened, and it was done beautifully — in less than half the time AND for less than half the price. It was only $ 19. Clothes Encounters charged $ 44 and took 16 days!
And, more importantly, it was a pleasant experience at Adam Tailoring. I always appreciate good customer service.

What was the previous reviewer *smoking?* Clothes Encounters
is a place to get clothes ALTERED, not a laundromat! And they
do excellent work, and the place smells like… thread? Buttons?
What was UP with that review? Anyway, I’ve been getting my clothes
altered here for YEARS and Sandy does wonderful work!!!

Good prices, but way too smelly in here — so don’t expect to sit around and listen to your ipod [or whatever you use] while the clothes wash. Drop them off, save some cash, and go grab a coffee.
