Thinking about trying out their Saturday clinic? Don’t. They claim they want «players who welcome the challenge of fair play rules that encourage finesse, skill, and strategy over brute force» but it is a different story when you get there. Players are reprimanded for challenging any other players for a ball which makes for a pretty boring and pointless game of soccer. At today’s clinic, a player was given a yellow card because he and another participant went after the same ball and one man fell. Anyone who plays soccer knows that players will fall, people will inevitably go for the ball at the same time and that referees are overkill in a clinic setting, yellow cards even more so. After the incident this player was shunned. He was never passed the ball again and other players verbally abused him. At one point in the clinic another player threatened to «kick his f****** a**» openly in front of the referee because the player got near him with no consequence from the ref who who was so eager to issue a yellow card for an accident. Where is the «fair play» and «finesse» in foul mouthed players threatening another safety without reason and without consequence? Avoid this place, not worth the money or time. I hope the guy who was yellow carded can get his money back because I don’t see someone coming back for three more sessions after being alienated to such an extreme degree.
