Dr. Constantine Palaskas is such a nice, knowledgeable and personable doc! I won’t go anywhere else when I have ear problems.

The front desk staff of the Otolaryngology were pleasant and helpful. Dr. Palaskas’ nurse was quite smart and competent in her assisting role. Dr. Palaskas seemed like a kind person and had a professional yet very affable demeanor. He seemed up-to-date on new technology pertinent to otology and yet patient with simple ear complaints. Overall, I don’t have experience with a complex procedure performed by this physician, but I was nonetheless very impressed by my office visit.

Dr. Constantine Palaskas fixed an open hole in my ear, for which I am very grateful. As a Seattle vocalist and musician, I have to say it’s nice to have my life back. I am now able to perform onstage again and listen to music without cringing in pain, now that I no longer have an open hole in my left ear. The tissue graft he performed on me has really saved me a great deal of misery and I’m happy to say it worked — he’s very meticulous, conscientious and thorough, which makes for a great surgeon.

First I was scheduled with an audiologist, and then after they found I was a candidate for BAHA, I was set up with Dr. Palaskas. A BAHA is an acronym for Bone Anchored Hearing Aid. I have a severe skeletal congenital deformity. The inside of my head makes the Elephant man look like Brad Pitt. Serious. Dr. Palaskas implanted a titanium post in my temporal bone last December and he did such a good job! The thing conducts sound like a hollow reed. Before the surgery I had concerns about the placement of the implant. When there is a deformity like mine, typically the implant is placed more toward the back of the head to allow for plastic surgeons to ‘correct’ the appearance of the ‘afflicted’ ear. I assured Dr. Palaskas that I would never ever have any sort of surgery regarding the appearance of my ear. I unconditionally love and accept being deformed. I just didn’t want to be deaf anymore, I wanted to know what music was like in stereo. I told him to put it where it would work the best, and by golly he did! I am a musician and it is important to me that my ear doctor understand that sort of thing. Dr. Palaskas is a musician, a really good one, and has great taste in music also. If this doctor was a band, he’d totally be Weezer.(Pre-Hurley, I haven’t heard the new album yet.) His demeanor has a little bit of «Doc» from«Back to the Future» too. This doctor is really really good. A shout out to all the staff at Minor and James Otolaryngology, they are so fantastic! They hooked it up for me to get operated on pre — approved by my health insurance before the year ended and my premium went up 280% They are Rock And Roll Incarnate. Thank you so much everybody at Minor and James! I am now going to download the new Weezer album and listen to it in stereo with my «bionic ear.» Keep on Rocking in the free world! –Peace
