Creston Point Apartments

The first and most minor issue is the children that run amok. Now that that is out of the way, this is a 1000 person capacity complex I’m told by the management There are several buildings with 1, 2, 3, and 4 apartment dwellings. W/​D in unit for 45 extra a month (necessity at this place) There are dish washers, microwaves, and they word escapes me at the moment, the light switch for the sink drains. Wonderful! Maintenance is mostly timely and I’ve been happy when they’ve had to fix my shower so that I can have hot water in a timely manner. They have a basketball court which I enjoy on days off of work and the teens don’t decide that they own it. There’s a pool for the kids and some after school programs run by residents for all the children, to stem the from any mayhem they would get in to. Kids will be kids. I personally haven’t had any issues with the children so I can’t speak to those issues. My largest complaint, which is small, and others tenants in my unit have had the problem as well is that my neighbor below has a fondness for complaining about noise. Only ever had one complaint but she chose to escalate the situation to a 911 call. The cop basically said he didn’t want to have to come back out here. I don’t blame him, there its a security service that patrols almost ²⁴⁄₇ for the exact purpose this officer had to take time away from police work that is ostensibly more important than a little noise from an infrequent guest.
Evidently there is a tenant association and a guy who has lived here for over five years stopped me after I got off the bus and invited me to take part. A note about the bus. The bus line outside, the 101, is always late, in both directions, late enough you will miss your connecting bus. So plan to be at the bus for the schedule prior to the one you normally would take. It takes me 1.5 to 2 hours to get to my job At Capital Hill, but that’s Seattle without a car for you.
Management always tries their hardest efforts to allay everyone’s concerns and fix all problems, and you can really tell, unless they are excellent actors (just kidding!) yet they somehow come up short more often than not. A for effort though. And I actually like Luciana AKA Lucy. The staff is mostly professional. However, I have to report this, on one occasion there was a front desk staff member on her lunch ignoring everyone who needed help, namely me at the time. So to be on my way and appease their request that people sign their packages out of their log book I played by the rules and was met with a firestorm of demeaning, belittling language as though I had broken a rule in grade school. Her tone, volume, demeanor, and especially vitriol were absolutely stunning and had me floored. How she could treat a paying decent resident such as she did. I tried to appease their request that I sign their log book and was met with conduct, entirely inappropriate. and specifically unprofessional, that I really had to urge Erica VanMeter, one of the more senior employees to «have a talk» with the woman, and if I had to guess I would think she was probably pretty embarrassed about the way she conducted herself, or I would have hoped. Not so however, I’ve seen her once more at a later date and someone handed me my package without asking for my signature. Every staff standing around knows me, and knew the package was mine. I receive a lot of packages and it had my name clearly labeled on it. But she chose to make the next decision in her life, again, one to raise this non-​issue in to another intolerable transgression her pride won’t let go of. I promptly left the office to get on with my life, avoid the situation being escalated, yet again, and especially to avoid another one of her diatribe. It’s not my job to enforce the by-​laws of this community. You have a piece of paper taped to the front door asking people to sign for their packages. I have no problem doing so. But this apartment complex is governed by a legally binding lease and not a woman with a bad attitude.
Rent is acceptable for Seattle area apartments. Although that does mean it is way too high. What else is new.
The last thing that is important to address is a personal issue to me and the tenants who live in Building B

If I weren’t as agile as I am I would have soaked my feet, shoes and socks trying to climb/​assail those stairs. This is Seattle. It Rains. Fix the drainage! I have a tape measure that measured two inches deep. I can take more pictures the next time this happens, or the next, or the next. Really anytime management wants to take a serious look at this serious issue I’m ready and willing to work with them so that building B doesn’t have to train as parkour gymnast experts to enter and live in our apartments. The back entrance is NOT a solution. Moreover it is unlit! I could go on.
Overall the experience is good.

After finding the one review that was posted to this place I am so glad they decided that «they have no openings for me». I never filed an application. I was not encouraged to view the property. Bed bugs have been reported to this complex as well as theft and poor security. All probably paid by the same company. Thank goodness this potential slum is not going to be my home. I won’t live somewhere that won’t protect me or allow me to protect my family. Whether it be from my neighbors kids or their bed bugs. Do not rent here if you can help it!
