CrossFit Deliverance

What can I say about this gym. From passionate trainers to amazing owners to great fitness community and facility. I’ve been going to this gym for exactly a year now and training 4 – 5 times a week. Great varied workout routines motivate and challenge me. What a joy it has been discovering what I’m capable of! My body is transformed and my spirit is fulfilled. I am a happier person because I have Crossfit Deliverance in my life. If you’re looking for a gym that invests in you look nowhere else but here.

This gym has changed my life. The owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet. The coaches are knowledgable and personable. All ability levels are welcome. Before I tried Crossfit, I was very intimidated. I was scared that I was too out of shape, but isn’t that the whole reason for going?! The coaches assessed my abilities and worked with me everyday and helped me modify movements to help me get stronger. I’ve been a member for almost a year and I never want to stop. I’ve made so many great friends there. This place is my second family.

By far the best Box in seattle! All about community and very keen on watching for form and alignment. Amy and James do a wicked job at making you feel comfortable and welcomed as well as all the other coaches. Super glad to have found Deliverance and recommend it to all who is seeking a good box to workout at and meet some cool people! Keep up the good vibes!

I dropped in to Crossfit Deliverance a number of times while at a conference in Seattle. Plenty has been written about Crossfit in general so I won’t spend too much time doing that, but a few points about this gym in particular
— It’s *so* well put-​together. Not only do they have a well-​stocked indoor gym, they also have an outdoor space with racks, etc…, so that you can do part of your workout outside if you want to.
— The instructors are as skillful as any I’ve seen — some really great and well-​structured classes.
— The instructors and members are incredibly friendly. I hardly felt like a guest, and it felt like a home away from home.
— They have some great t-​shirts!
The only downside, I felt, is that the workouts were only posted on their website on the morning-​of, not the night before. Though I guess that just stops you from cherry-​picking workouts, so it’s not the worst thing in the world! Overall, highly recommended.

I decided to give CrossFit (and this particular box) a try because it’s less than a mile from my house. I had never done CrossFit before and was primarily nervous going into this experience because of not knowing what to expect AND because I didn’t want to aggravate an old shoulder injury. Fast-​forward 3-​weeks and I’ll tell you that I love it. I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing, but owners James and Amy are extremely knowledgeable about proper form and technique as well as modifications for people who, like me, have a weakness or an injury that needs to be considered. After training for a couple triathlons last year, this is completely different training with short/​intense sessions. I was hoping for a community feel and an opportunity to make a couple new friends. This is probably unlikely as the majority of clients are UW students and I’m old enough to be their mother, but ultimately I’m there to get my sweat on, and Deliverance certainly delivers on that!

Ok, So I haven’t actually BEEN to Crossfit Deliverance, BUT I had Amy and James as trainers at Emerald City Crossfit before they left to open their own place. And I miss them! They have great energy, are super attentive about proper form and technique, and are cute to boot. You should go and see for yourself how awesome they are.

THIS GYM IS LIFE-​CHANGING!
I joined CrossFit Deliverance the day they opened and I’m not gonna lie… I puked. It had been a while since I have done physical fitness work and it was probably one of my first workouts since I started smoking 4 years ago. This place has helped turn my health around. I kicked smoking and I’m on my way to being in the best shape of my life! Not only do the coaches James & Amy teach and motivate you to learn different movements, to build on different muscles, but with Amy being a nutritionist, she also gives diet suggestions so you can eat healthier.
Aside from the physical satisfaction that are WODs (Workout Of the Day), I think the most phenomenal part of this gym is the community that it has built. I honestly don’t remember the last time I made so many friends from one congregation. With its location in the U-​District and me being college aged, this gym keeps bringing people who are share a desire for a healthier and better lifestyle.
Needless to say, I could not ask for better coaches than James & Amy nor can I express how much this gym has done for me.

When I saw that the gym was going in two blocks from my apartment I knew it was meant to be. I came in and had my butt handed to me the first day and knew I had drank the crossfit «kool-​aid.» I was hooked. I love the community and friendly sense of competition around the gym with other members as well as yourself. James and Amy are amazing coaches. They make the classes fun, informative, different and challenging. The people at Crossfit Deliverance have become more than peers or fellow gym mates but friends. The gym offers a variety of class times that can fit into anybody’s schedule. They also offer great pricing for students! If you have been thinking about trying Crossfit style workouts don’t hesitate! Crossfit Deliverance has changed my entire work out routine and I will never go back to a regular gym membership again.

I have been talking about joining a gym for years but always had some excuse. Whether it is cost, location, class times, or just being intimidated. After hearing about this new gym right down the street from me I became very interested, the cost seemed so reasonable at $ 155 plus 30% off since its their grand opening. SCORE! They have classes from 6AM-7:30PM which is perfect for me, most gyms last class are at 6:30. James and Amy are so fun positive and motivating that my friend and I knew after our first workout that this was going to be our gym! Everyone there is so friendly and working out in a group is so much more fun and motivating. James and Amy make it easy to want to workout since all I have to do is show up and my whole workout is planned for me!
Don’t let my positive review fool you… It is hard work I am in pain but it’s a good pain :)
