It looks sketchy, but fear not, this place is legit. Super great staff who might be family, and they’re friendly. They love their regulars! Anyway, the food is great and the price is even better. I love their grilled pork spring rolls and their Vietnamese iced coffee is sooo yummy. You can’t go wrong here!

An SPU student favorite. Delicious and filling for when you’re on a budget. The staff is hardworking and friendly. Try the shrimp spring rolls, the peanut sauce is out of this world.

Great bahn mi sandwiches. The only thing I order is the grilled chicken bahn mi. It’s flavorful and there’s really nothing to complain about. The ingredients always taste fresh. The chicken itself has a good flavor to it and I’ve frequented this truck many, many times. They’re consistent and the guy who manages it is always fantastically friendly.

Seriously this is the best bahn mi I’ve had in Seattle and I’ve tried several others. The service is super fast and friendly and the portions are huge. I always get the grilled pork sandwich and the spring rolls. But everything on their menu looks good and the prices are insanely reasonable. I used to live in the hood, but after moving I still try to sneak over when I can if I know that they will be open. It’s that good! I can’t say that for a lot of other food establishments. The only downsides are that they are not open every day and parking can be a bit tough when it’s a busy time or school is in session.

I love this place! Not only is it close to my house, it’s the best banh mi I have had in a long time. The bread is always fresh and the portions are huge. It’s affordable, quick, and the people who run the truck are super friendly. Thank you Curbside for offering cheap delicious Vietnamese food. I have been telling all my friends about this place.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. I just ordered their beef phở(p1) and it is on point! I’ve been craving phở and this place is down the street from me. So glad I gave it a try. I will defiantly be back to try their ban mi. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the pork spring rolls. The pork was too dry. However The peanut dipping sauce was awesome. I’ll give the veggie spring rolls a try next time I’m there.

It is just hard to beat the quality and consistency of everything I’ve had. I’ve often had the Steak and Brisket Phở, Pork Banh Mi, and both Pork and Shrimp spring rolls. Going once a week isn’t too much!

You might not imagine great food from a trailer parked on the side of a gas station… but think again. Incredibly fresh, made to order food, from people who know what they’re doing. If you are a bahn mi lover, this place will satisfy your craving. We got the lemongrass steak bahn mi sandwich and an order of spring rolls. Everything was excellent, and we will be back!

Kang is the man. Pork bah mi is the hottest fire around for $ 4. Add those $ 3 egg rolls and that fire goes super hot. Also calling ahead is how the cool kids do it. Click click bang bang

Very big portions, very cheap prices, very friendly service. My only tip is to bring cash because they will charge you $.50 extra for every card purchase.

Love it. Always. Super close to SPU. Consistently quality food– and on the RARE occasion that they mess up your order — they replace it! They’ve grown A LOT and become more popular so it’s definitely smart to a call in your order a couple minutes ahead if you’re trying to be quick… Sucker for the Tofu sandwich– extra tofu and hoisin sauce! Veggie spring rolls or fresh rolls with prawns are great too! Can’t beat 3.75 for the sandwich though! Thai iced tea is also yummy! Curbside for the win

Portion sizes are huge. My first bite of the bahn mi alluded to this being similar to other places that skimp on the meat, and with most of the sandwich being bread. Every bite after that cleared that misconception right up. The sandwich was packed to the brim with veggies and plenty of meat, I was pretty full after the sandwich. I also got an order of the fresh pork spring rolls per other reviews and had to take a bite to try them, but those as well are enormously generous portions and I had to put them away for later. The strips of pork are the first layer inside of the rice paper so the portion size is pretty clear — I hope they are still just as good in a few hours. The peanut dipping sauce was great as well. Overall reason for 5 stars is related to the combination of price, quality, and expedient service. My total came to $ 7.75+tax and tip and I could have easily split this with someone else or just gone with the sandwich or spring rolls by themselves. I saw a few people order bubble tea so I think I’ll need to try that sometime as well.

So, I typically weigh things out over an amount of time to make sure that I can give honest and genuine feedback. After several visits to Curbside in the course of the time they first opened to time, here’s my verdict: Pros: THISPLACEISAWESOME! Prices are ridiculously fair for the quality and quantity that you get. I’ve tried everything from their rice dishes, bahn mi sandwiches, beverages, spring rolls, to their noodle bowls(phở) and I cannot get enough! ALL their food is bursting with flavors and never fails to satisfy my hunger and cravings. I work in an office in walking distance and they always have only good things to say. «There’s so much food that I can split it into two meals.» «I can finally have some gluten free options in the area.» «Our clients are always impressed and get to experience of a variety of foods in the area, and they always want to go back.» Their Phở ga(Phở noodles with chicken) literally is the best Phở I’ve had and I have had a LOT of phở. Everyone whom I’ve introduced it to has all reacted the same and agreed with me that it’s changed their lives! Haha, yes, that’s how enthusiastic we are about the Chicken Phở. Of course, everything else is good so don’t limit yourself. What makes this food truck even better is how friendly everyone that works is with every customer. They remember you, they’re eager to give quality service, and if there’s anything they missed, they’re quick to fix it! There’s outside seating! Cons: It’s in a busy area so parking is not ideal and if you’re limited on time for lunch, it would be best to plan ahead and expect wait time during the rush hour. Also, it’s located in a gas station parking lot, so there’s always cars coming and going. Although there’s outside seating, it’s right by a busy street so it’s not going to be a very quiet meal. So far every time I’ve called to try to place an order in advance or to call if some things are still in stock at the end of the day(there are times they run out of things. Who can blame ‘em? They’re popular!) so that my trip is not in vain, but no one has ever picked up.

Tasty marinated grilled pork banh mi. I like my sandwich with extra mayo, which they did it for me with no extra charge compare to other restaurant or side food-carts. Great service, good food.

I have been here multiple times because it’s close to SPU. I always get the pork bahn mi. I should probably get something else just to try this place on a wider range, but THEPORKISSOFREAKINGGOOD! One thing I do wish it had was some siracha mayo or avocado. It just needs something creamy. Other than that, best freaking place to get lunch on SPU’s campus.

Absolutely delicious food. Affordable prices. Friendly service. Convenient for lunch break. I love this place! It’s my new go to for days that I don’t pack a lunch for work. I’ve had the phò and banh mi. Both are fantastic.

When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine across the U.S., I’ve found that it’s fairly easy to find the essentials like rice dishes, bún, or ph. Bánh mì is another story, as most sit-down restaurants don’t feature it, or the rendition is poorly done. Vegetarian sandwiches are usually the afterthought since the basic version of the Vietnamese classic features liver pâté. I’m very happy to report that Curbside provides ample vegetarian options that stand well next to their meat selections. Curbside is now a two year old operation, located at the intersection of Nickerson St and Queen Anne Ave in the Shell Gas Station parking lot. It’s an easy area to overlook, on the northern fringe of the Queen Anne area next to the canal and not quite close enough to Freemont. Also, it is not so much a traditional mobile food truck, rather a stationary trailer with outside patio furniture for seating. Curbside focuses on appetizers like spring rolls(fried and fresh), ph(beef and vegetable stocks), bánh mì, bún, and drink options like bubble tea and Vietnamese iced coffee. My partner and I stuck with the sandwich option for our lunch order. We ordered the tofu bánh mì, two vegetarian spring rolls, mango bubble tea, and water. The total bill came to about $ 15, a real steal especially considering the quality of the food. We waited a total of 10 minutes for the food to arrive from the truck, with 4 orders ahead of us when we ordered. I found this to be acceptable given similar wait times at other food trucks. The fresh spring rolls are filled with the same vegetable ingredients found in the bánh mì, with the exception of jalapenos. They come with a peanut dipping sauce and are quite flavorful, though they were missing several ingredients like various herbs(mint, basil) that I expect in a fresh spring roll. The bubble tea is well done and is comparable to what you would expect from the drink. What stood out the most for both of us however, was the tofu bánh mì. Let’s start with the french bread. It’s bigger than you would think, and is perfectly baked. Browned and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The last bánh mì I tasted in my culinary journeys was stingy on both the protein filling and the vegetables. Curbside goes out of their way to ensure this won’t be the case. Each bánh mì we ordered was stuffed with vegetables(herbs, cucumber, carrots, jalapenos, et al.), slathered in their special mayo, and filled with golden fried triangles of tofu. Each bite was better than the last, but thanks to their portion sizes I was left very satisfied at the end of the meal. Overall I have to say that Curbside offers the best vegetarian bánh mì I’ve experienced to date. Vegetarians should take note, as these dishes are not a culinary also ran, but strong enough to hold their own up against the rest of the menu.
