Days Inn Seattle Aurora

Don’t come here you will get accused of smoking out of nowhere. My mother and sister were at this motel before moving into college and noticed the room smelled like smoke, but didn’t complain. Later, the incredibly hostile desk attendant accuses an 18 year old of smoking in the room and threatens to kick them out. I have never heard such an inexcusable breach of character on the part of the worker, and these actions were further reinforced by the manager, kicking my mother out with seemingly no evidence whatsoever. We will never come here again

I couldn’t wait to come home to write this review and end my Days Inn nightmare. The ‘Free WiFi’ they offer is terrible; I couldn’t post anything to Unilocal. (Conspiracy?)
Upon check-​in, the desk clerk had zero personality and stoically requested a $ 100 deposit, even though we had already paid through Expedia and had a copy of our credit card. Total surprise to us as it had seriously cut into our budget. She said as soon as we check-​out and after the room was inspected for damage (what? I know I look like a rock-​star, but come on…), they would refund the deposit. Ugh. Fine.
We paid $ 89.99 a night for three nights for one Queen bed, equaling with tax, about $ 320. We listed 2 adults and 1 child. Most places offer a roll-​away bed for free and considering the price we paid, I thought this place would be no different. Wrong. The price for a roll-​away bed for our child was $ 20 plus tax, per night. It was another cut into our budget that we couldn’t afford, so my partner had to spend three nights at a friend’s house, 20 miles away, while we were there. Ugh. Fine.
The free breakfast they offer ends at 9am and no one informed us, so when we came down at 9:10am the first morning, we were turned away without even an apology. She had an attitude like, «Snooze, you lose». Ok. I can do without the attitude but it’s my mistake for not checking. Ugh. Fine. (Went to Beth’s Café. Check my review there. They’re awesome!)
It’s been two days since we left and after a quick chat over the phone, it looks like it will be SEVEN days before we get our «Rock-​star Insurance» deposit back. Ugh. NOT FINE.
All in all, too expensive for a lack-​luster experience. In hind-​sight, I should have just paid the $ 100 more for a better hotel. At least we could have all stayed together, which was the point of this trip.

Bug all over the room. When I first went into the room, I smelled bug bomb… and got bug bite at lest 10 places next morning

Bad customer service at front desk. Grumpy–
No fridge or microwave. We asked to pay extra for a fridge for my medicine, they said none available. 200 deposit for incidentals even though room already paid for. Incidental deposits are usually 20 to 50 dollars. I know Days Inn is part of the Wyndham collection and usually the motels/​hotels are up to par. But not this motel! Housekeeping was very nice and friendly:)

My boyfriend and I were put in a situation where we had no where to stay for the night (we live in bellingham, he works in seattle) we came here. It was late and we weren’t expecting much, but we were not expecting to be treated like utter incompetent idiots. We checked in, and Bryan who was working at the desk told my boyfriend he only had a room with two beds. Not immediately understanding, my boyfriend asked if he had anything with just one bed, since we didn’t need the extra, which he rudely belittled my boyfriend by responding «yeah, why is that weird?» The whole entire transaction was incredibly uncomfortable. Bryan treated us like we were underneath him with a smug yet angry look on his face every time we asked a question. I am honestly so unnerved with the way he was acting I don’t even care to comment on the mediocre room, except to say that it smells like the maids poured 5 gallons of lemon dishwasher soap on everything (the smell is really that strong). I could get over that for the price, but the rude service I cannot.

Um, yeah. I’m not a hotel snob by any means. Average will do and really — if we’d just stayed one night instead of 3, it might have passed with more snuff. Each night we were there, our discomfort and opinion dropped a little more. But, on the last night, hubby did laundry. (Week vacation, small bags, planned one round and it happened to be here.) It was here he found used syringes tucked behind the machines. Totally grossed him out, and me too. It was just the icing on the cake after walking down the hall to our room smelling pot each day/​night. (Yes, I know it’s legal, but didn’t add any «pros» to the environment…) Informed management about the syringes and they didn’t seem to care a bit. We were absolutely ready to roll out of there on the fourth morning, amid the construction (which made coming and going difficult the whole stay.) We just didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We came into Seattle after a grueling day of travel on Highway 2 (STAY AWAY!!) from Wenatchee. Somewhat disappointed because of all the road construction out front of the hotel, but obviously not their fault. The condition of the hotel in general and the room was definitely all them. I never rate a room relative to general expectations, I rate it based on value and how a room of that price lives up to its promise. Based on this, the best I can say is not horrible and not great, let’s give it a 2.5.

I don’t understand why so many reviews that I have read about this hotel are negative towards this place. Not just on here but on other review sights. This is not the Ritz so don’t expect it to be. If you want a $ 300 dollar a night experience, then book the Ritz or Hilton. But if you want a good nights sleep, with nice friendly service and throw in a hot waffle and fruit or cereal for breakfast, at a very competitive price for the area, then this is your place to book. I love how clean the whole place is. Not beat up and worn out like other motel/​hotel chains of this caliper are. The guy at the front desk was awesome. He always had something nice to say and was very friendly.
The only bad thing I have about this location has nothing to do with the hotel it’s self. There is some heavy road construction going on in front and they start very early. I know it’s not the hotel’s fault but I couldn’t give a full 5 stars due to that.
I’d like like to say that this Days Inn made our 2 days in Seattle, very pleasant.

As I was looking up places to stay near the center of Seattle, all the places were so expensive so I began to look at places outside the metro area. The cheaper ones are either located near the Seatac or 10+ miles north of Seattle downtown. This Days Inn is about 10 miles north of downtown. I didn’t want to stay near Seatac fearing the noise and since I’m visiting the zoo and University of Washington which were all in the north side, I ended up booking my stay here on Orbitz as it had the cheapest price from all the listing. And even though it is the cheapest one, it is still pretty expensive in my opinion.
I drove in pretty late at night and all the parking spots in the front were already taken, good thing there were plenty more spaces in the back. Check in was easy enough as I just handed my confirmation to the receptionist and I got the key card to my second floor room within minutes.
It was very quiet the entire night so I was pretty happy about my stay here. The breakfast here was pretty good with fruits, cereal, muffins and self-​made waffles. It is definitely better than many of the continental breakfast that I have stayed before in similar price range. If you’re looking for a cheap stay while you’re touring Seattle, this place would get the job done.

I recently stayed here for three nights, and it was an acceptable experience given the price I paid. The room was pretty standard and relatively clean.
The biggest downside was the wi-​fi. It did not work consistently, and when it did it was very slow and spotty. But this was not a big issue because I didn’t spend a great deal of time here.
The front desk service was so-​so. I would describe them mostly as inattentive and unconcerned, but not rude in any way.
Since I live in the area now I don’t have any reason to stay here again, but if I was looking for an inexpensive, no-​frills stay for a night or two, I would return.

This was a very average hotel. Nothing fancy and nothing spectacular. The guy at the front desk was odd and combative when we were checking in. When I originally made the reservation, I called and checked with them to be sure a late check in would be fine. They said it would and that day, I called again to let them know I would be there after 10pm. When I got in around 10:30pm, they had already charged my card and when I complained, he said every hotel does that. I’m sorry, we had just stayed at 10 other hotels and this was our last stop. None charged us until we checked out. Some did authorize a small amount to ensure the card was good. He was very combative about it and there was really no reason for it. We were suppose to get Queen beds, but the beds felt much smaller. At least they were pretty comfortable. Aside from that, there was a funny smell, the carpet was well warn, the elevator was creepy, but the waffles smelled amazing! Other than that, a decent price in a decent area.

Ehhh, needs some work. It was fine for passing through one night, but the price point was ridiculously high for the cleanliness and value. The bathroom was not that clean, someone clearly had a very bad night at some point, as evidenced by the walls. The bed was not that comfortable either. If I’d paid half the price, I probably would have rated it better. Service, spotty … we tried to print tickets for the baseball game that we bought online, and they were out of toner. Wi-​fi was spotty, as well.

Nothing out of ordinary. Rooms were clean and quiet. Desk clerk was friendly at checkin but far more interested in the lobby TV than offering any further assistance. No restaurants closeby, breakfast is just ok. Good place for the value.

This Days Inn is in Shoreline neigborhood. We stayed here for three days and they have no microwaves or refrigerators. There is a KFC/A&W right next to the hotel. To get to the elevator, you have to go through the front door, because it’s right next to the desk. I didn’t eat the continental breakfast, although a lot of people do. It smelled okay. Rooms were old and the whole place is outdated. They are undergoing some type of renovation at the moment, but who knows if they are going to renovate rooms. This Days Inn does get a few people in it on a weekend. And the beds had no support, so be prepared to have back issues for a few days. Overall good rates. That’s about it. If you’re looking for a ONE night stay, go for it. But not long term.

About standard for a days inn. The rooms were clean, and the heaters worked nice. I brought some high school students here for a robotics trip and they stayed in the room on the corner of the building. Which meant that the room was cold when we first showed up, but the heaters warmed the place up, and kept it nice and cozy. I was in another room, and didn’t have the same cold feeling when we entered the room.
The continental breakfast was good, they had the waffle makers which is nice. Its nice to have something hot and fresh to eat for breakfast. The coffee was adequate, but I guess that’s to be expected, if I want great coffee Ill stop at a Starbucks or other coffee joint.

Standard Days Inn experience here … cheap room, spartan, but totally acceptable accommodations, and not much in the way of frills. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, parking was plentiful and safe, and the location was close enough to the freeway. Oh yeah, WiFi was incredibly fast (13down, 10up). I ain’t mad at that!
Big bonus was ending up with a room with its window directly behind the dormer above the lobby. Blocked enough of the view from outside that we were comfortable with leaving the curtains open during our stay, so we were fortunate to have natural light the entire time. Of course, this is the only room in the hotel with this feature, so good luck and hope you end up with room #204.

I stayed here for a week at pretty good price on 1÷09÷12. It was actually a little nicer than i thought it would be. The rooms had fridges, and were decorated with decently non-​libido killing colors. With a little love, it made for a decent place to visit a girlfriend. There were some issues with cleaning, since we found some trash left behind by previous customers but it wasn’t anything gross. The bed was pretty comfortable especially compared to what I normally get while traveling.

This place was horrible. I have back problems as is, but my bed only made it worse. On our last night, there was an incident with the fire alarm, the fire department, etc… needless to say we attempted to spend as little time at this hotel for a reason. If at all possible, spend a little bit more to stay someplace better — you WON’T regret it.

We stayed here for a few nights and on the first night, we found a used condom under our bed. We told the cleaning lady that it was there the next morning and when we returned in the evening, the condom was still there. And it remained there for the next few nights that we stayed there.
Aside from the condom issue, the rooms were clean and the breakfast options were standard.

Visiting a local friend who lacked couch space, I stayed here for the weekend, but wasn’t really impressed. The rates were good, but the plumbing in my room (117) wasn’t — pressure was low, «hot» water was only warm, the faucet leaked, and the seal on the shower door failed, leaking into the bathroom. The tub would also greatly benefit from some non-​skid strips. After dropping something and crawling on the floor, I was also disappointed that I saw that the carpet around the base of the bed clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. Other than those things, the room was OK — in otherwise good repair, clean linens, sufficient light. I’d come back, but probably only if similar nearby options were full.
