After moving to a new house, I started getting spam email from Deborah Arends & Associates. My wife and I hadn’t been in contact with them previously. One star for intrusive marketing. Please stop.

Deborah Arends and her staff are the best in Ballard for sure! We recently sold our home with their help and found it to be a pretty simple task. Communication was always great and timely and Deborah’s guidance for this pair of newbie sellers was spot-​on. Two weeks on the market and we were SOLD!

As a first time home buyer, I couldn’t be more pleased with Mike and Leann. They are without a doubt, the best buying agents at RE/​MAX Northwest. They worked together to make the whole process seamless. They were very responsive to my requests and were willing to show me as many houses as I wanted to see. I found a home in Edmonds and we closed two days early, due to the dedication of this team. I genuinely can’t say enough about how well this went. We had a very bad and disappointing experience when we listed and sold our house with this agency. Lack of clarity in communication led to much misunderstanding and bad feelings on both sides. We often felt that the agent was pulling more for the buyers than for us, their clients.

Mike and Leann are great at what they do. We were first time homebuyers. They were helpful and reassuring. When we were touring houses with one of them, they would get very involved and take a look at the wiring and other stuff about which we had no idea. They helped us know what to look for and brought up things that we should consider when looking at a particular property. There was never a hard sell.
Also, they are super-​responsive. They answer emails ASAP and were able to put together the offer paperwork for us very quickly (bless Leann for working until almost midnight one night to help us get our offer in!).
Overall, they made the process much less stressful than it could have potentially been. Their upbeat personalities made it a lot of fun as well. I trust their input and their expertise. I will highly recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a house.

Mike and Leann were recommended to me by my sister who bought a home through them about a year ago and had an excellent experience. I was really shopping around and interviewing agents when I started the process, and knew right away, my sister was correct, they seemed great.
I worked with Mike and Leann and it literally took almost 1 year to find the perfect place. They were diligent and persistent and went to great lengths to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. I ended up in my dream condo in Ballard which fit my initial requests of what I was looking for to a T, not to mention the price was right on point!
Couldn’t have asked for better agents to work with. They almost worked «too hard» if that is possible.
For my first place, I would say it was an excellent experience. They really do go the extra mile and with the stress of buying a place, it is a blessing to work with good agents.

I read one of the other reviews on here saying that there are not enough stars to properly rate Mike Witt and Leann Sparks Witt and I could not agree more.
We’ve been working with Mike and Leann for about 1 ½ years now, and have always appreciated their responsiveness, their honesty, their deep knowledge of the business, and their patience. Just last month when we found the house we wanted to make an offer on, we literally would not have gotten the house without Mike and Leann’s expert negotiating and knowledge. They got us the perfect house for our little family, and made sure to get it for the price we wanted and the conditions we needed. Mike kept in close contact with us and our lender throughout the process, literally working around the clock to make himself available for updates and to answer any questions. No answer was too stupid, and no problem was too insurmountable. When we closed on the house, Leann made sure to take us on a walk-​through of our new home to make sure everything was in order, and made time to answer any additional questions.
With Mike and Leann, we truly felt like we had partners in this process. We never felt pressured or like we were out there in the wilderness trying to figure this all out. To Mike and Leann, their clients absolutely come first, no matter what. And it shows.

I worked with Leann in 2010 for the purchase of my condo. As a first-​time buyer I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I think I had the best experience possible. And I am so pleased with my purchase — I ended up with a place I love, in the neighborhood I wanted, and in a solid building with a strong HOA. I was working within a time constraint but I was in great hands with Leann — we met every day that I was available and she was super accomodating around my schedule. As expected, I had tons of questions and concerns, but Leann always got back to my e-​mails, calls, texts, etc. as soon as possible, which made me feel at ease. She even checked in while she was on vacation! I’ve talked to some people who felt pressured by their realtors to look at homes beyond their budget, and that was never the case for me. Leann always worked within my comfort zone, and only showed me properties that I could afford. Buying and selling real estate will always be stressful… but if you have an agent like Leann, you’ll never feel like you’re in it alone! I’m looking forward to buying my next home in a few years, and I will absolutely call on Leann!

I recently purchased a house with the guidance of Leann and Mike and was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable the whole experience was. I thought it would be a cut-​throat, high stress, high pressure process, but Leann and Mike made sure it wasn’t. I met them for coffee before getting started and felt immediately at ease — not only do they know what they’re doing as far as real estate is concerned, but they are also fun and easy to relate to as people! We talked about what I was looking for in a house, but also spent a fair amount of time talking about mutual interests (which I think influenced how they decided which homes to include in my search). They assured me that there would be no pressure, that we would look until I found the perfect place, and at no point did I feel any pressure from them to buy. As a first time home-​buyer, this was really important to me. It’s kind of a scary thing and they were there at every turn, looking out for what was best for me (and fighting for me, too!). They were very responsive by email or phone and since they work as a team, if one is busy, the other is usually available to show you a place or answer your questions. You can really tell that they love what they do, and when you find your perfect place they are just as excited as you are. If you’re looking to buy a home, I highly recommend Mike and Leann at Deborah Arends and Associates.

Leann and Mike are a great team. They were responsive, professional and always looking out for the needs of the buyer. Its hard to say, im sure for most people, but our real estate experiences were always positive and fun with Mike and Leann. We have already started referring them to friends, family and working assoicates.

There are not enough stars to properly rate Leann Sparks & Mike Witt. We were relocating from Houston to Seattle and knew nothing about the Seattle market. Leann and Mike spent hours getting to know us via e-​mail to make sure that they were introducing us to the neighborhoods that best suited our lifestyle. They also spent an extensive amount of time culling through and selecting homes for us to view on-​line. They listened to our comments about each house and successfull narrowed the search to a handful to view during our visit. Leann and Mike met us on a Saturday, and they had the entire day scheduled in such an efficient manner that we didn’t waste a minute, but we also never felt rushed. The first home that we looked at is the one we bought. Leann & Mike strongly recommended a sewer scope, and that advice saved us $ 20,000. The inspector found an offset that cost the seller $ 20,000 in repairs. We are forever thankful for that. Our sale in Houston was a nightmare while the purchase in Seattle was truly stress free, all due to Leann & Mike’s dedication. They looked out for us at every turn. After four days of driving a dog and cat from Houston to Seattle, Leann & Mike met us at the new house with the keys and made us feel welcome before we even moved in. We have been here for five months now and know that we made the right choice. This house is 100% us and is in the perfect location. Even though we are thousands of miles away from family and friends, we feel at home. Much thanks to Leann and Mike.
