Designer Fabric Liquidations

After looking for fabric to recover my dining chairs at all the usual chain stores and finding nothing that fit what I wanted I decided to check out Designer Fabric Liquidations. Rick was very helpful from the moment I walked through the door. He asked questions that helped me narrow down my parameters and guided me to that fabrics that would work best for my project. I found the perfect fabric and now have chairs ready for our family’s next gathering at Thanksgiving. Thanks Rick!

Rick offers a wide selection of beautiful fabrics. He also has very keen design sensibilities. For my professional establishment, I wanted to reuse my office chairs with customized, commercial grade fabrics in my color scheme. I did my homework and compared with other companies. I would recommend Designer Fabric Liquidations for its elegant, yet inexpensive, fabrics and good, honest customer service.

Disclaimer: The fabric selection and price are 5 stars. The service was 0 stars. When I walked in, the person working was helping someone else. He didn’t acknowledge me. Ten minutes later, I had found a few materials I was interested in purchasing and a few materials I had questions about. He was still helping the same person and hadn’t even made any kind of contact with me. Not a «I will be with you in a minute» or «I am finishing up with her, do you have a quick question.» A simple hello would have sufficed. I hope next time I go in, someone else will be working that understands customer service.

Great selection, amazing service. The guy here talked us through hundreds of fabrics and sent us home with swatches. He has such amazing knowledge and a real design sense. He listened to what I want, but also gently saved me from myself by telling me that he wouldn’t let me upholster my couches in certain fabrics. I’m not sure if we will be buying from him only because we have found other fabrics at another store, but I would send any of my friends his way.

I bought the LivingSocial deal because quite frankly I was thrilled to see something besides a bikini wax and botox offer. I have a sewing machine and fancy myself a home/​beginner crafter.
I got some amazing and beautiful blue velvet that is destined for some great pillows. I also got some out of this world golden wool blend design that is also likely to become some pillows. I mean really, I am not used to fancy fabric like this.
It seemed like most of their stuff was for drapes or upholstery but really some amazing designs, quality and inspiration. If you are looking for something different or something nice and simple they have both. I was looking for colors but their selection of beige/​tan items was also great. All kinds of textures and patterns.
The man there was very helpful and friendly. Also if you think you might get a large item (like I did) — park close, park in that spot for the painting place next door. I wasn’t sure it was a parking spot but it totally is, it’s kind of like under the trees and next to the building.
I can’t wait to sew my new pillow covers!

What a beautiful selection of such lovely fabrics! Now I can have the curtains I would like at the price I want. And thanks to the owner, Rick who was very friendly, helpful, attentive, and patient with my indecisiveness. Can’t wait to get sewing!
