okay, whatever veggie hot dogs they use at this spot are A+++. 5 stars for those. however, overall, my seattle veggie dog was just aight. i LOVE spicy food and my girl’s kimchi sub was TOO hot. not enjoyable. the french fries were just okay too! a little soggy. i love veggie dogs and it’s difficult to find good ones so i will be back here.

One of, if not my absolute favorite place in Seattle! It’s the type of spot I’ll recommend heavily to anyone who lives in the city or is visiting. My absolute favorite items on the menu include the kimchi hotdog and sub, the spicy ramen, and the buffalo dog, but I honestly think you couldn’t go wrong with any item on the menu. It just consists of amazing, flavorful food across the board. And to top it all off, the owner and employees are so nice! They’re among the friendliest, kindest people on the Greenwood block.

A good start. Tried the buffalo dog and s side of fries. Liked the dog but should have tried sans toppings first. Flavor overload! Vibe is sub sandwich style and you could come in in your jammies. Good service and fast! Want to come back and try one of the Asian-inspired dogs!

Great local spot for a hot dog! The family that runs this place is awesome and although it is difficult to ruin a hot dog, these guys have found a way to make hot dogs stand out in unique and awesome ways. The prices are also fair and affordable and the customer service is excellent. The food comes out fast and fresh, and what else can I say? Who doesn’t love a good hot dog???

Great neighborhood spot with tons of fun hot dog options! They spiral cut their dogs, making them super tasty and easy to eat. Yummy fresh buns, too!

A good variety of hotdogs(even vegetarian options.) It was cute inside. Customer service was fast and sweet. Parking isn’t the easiest but definitely worth going to try the Seattle dog.

Hot dogs and sausages galore! We were missing sweet home Chicago and needed a hot dog or two. I don’t know what I was expecting, but Diggity Dog far exceeded whatever those expectations were. The spiral cut is a fun touch that seems to char better than a regular ol’ hot dog. Big fan! I kept it simple with a Seattle dog and headed on over to the condiment bar. They have pretty much every single condiment you can think of — yellow mustard, deli mustard, relish, ketchup from an udder like contraption, tons of hot sauces, cheese, onions, celery salt… seriously, everything. The fiancé ordered fries and I snagged a few — those were done perfectly — super yum! He got the kielbasa and loved it and had to go back and order another hot dog. If we’re ever in the area again, craving a taste of home, we’ll be back. It may even be worth a special trip!

Had the bulgogi hot dog and was really impressed, would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try their specialty American/Korean/German fusion. 4 stars because it’s still a little expensive for a hot dog.

In attempt to better understand my little sister’s lifestyle choices(#Vegan), I have begun to try more vegan options when eating around the Emerald city. I am pretty confident deep down that I will never actually become vegan, but when I am spending time with her or other vegans, I have certainly found foods that still qualify as stellar and ‘write-home’ worthy. The Vege Italian Dog from Diggity is like an illegitimate union between eggplant Parmesan and a hot dog that, while it doesn’t really feel like you’re eating healthy, provides a delicious illusion of elevated living. I think one of the more notable realizations from vegan dining is the necessity for becoming an expert in spices as the«protein» often times is very bland all on its’ own. I will at some point return for the Bulgolgi Dog, which is about as non-vegan as they come, but for this trip, I had a great meal and no animals were harmed in any way.

Wow, this place is the bee’s knees. The sausage was on fire like my mixtape, and the toppings were the bomb. The downside to Diggity Dog’s was that the sausage, The Killer, was the spiciest thing in the restaurant, but I felt no burn. As a devout masochist, I find the lack of burn offensive to my palate. Other than that, if you want the dankest of weenies and the tastiest of wieners, come up to Diggity Dog’s.

Put down what you’re doing right now and go eat at Diggity Dog. Just go. Now. Quit your job, drop out of school, stop reading this review, burn the biscuits, leave your bed unmade and your laundry unfolded. Go to Diggity Dog right now and eat food there. Decades from now, food historians will look back on Diggity Dog’s vege kimchi dog and rightly declare it the defining moment in the fusion of German, American, Korean and vegetarian cuisines. It is stupefying. A perfectly grilled veggie hot dog on a large pillowy bun topped with kimchi, a lovely zigzag of mustard and a thin schmear of exquisitely creamy and delicately sweetened cream cheese. You can add some extras at the topping bar, but don’t be too cavalier; you’re tampering with perfection here, fool. Vege kimchi dogs and other culinary masterpieces are served up by sensationally nice people in this tiny, brightly colored nook just at the edge of the Greenwood/85th business district. It’s a highlight… don’t miss it. 5 stars all the way. Go there. Now.

I’ve never spent more than a few hours in Korea, but if they have street food, I could totally picture Diggity Dog street subs as a main attraction. A semi-hollowed out baguette filled with your choice of filling, ranging from vegetarian to American to Korean meat selections. I was going to go for the kimchi Sammy but then decided for more protein and went with the bulgogi one. It didn’t disappoint, and I liked that they seem to have been a fixture in the Greenwood neighborhood for a while. Many locals seemed to come and go as I ate, and although it was a chilly afternoon outside and in, I was strategic and sat right by their spot heater. I would love to explore more of this menu. A tad pricy for what you get but you probably won’t find this easily anywhere else. Sandwich and Snapple and tip put me back about 14 bones.

Diggity Dog is a hole-in-a-wall post slinging a great variety of delicious hot dogs. From the bulgogi dog to the kimchi sub, there are a ton of fast food treats to choose from. I ordered the Green Bay dog(basic grilled dog with melted cheddar) and it was one of the best hot dogs I’ve had in awhile! The bun was perfectly toasted and the cheese was a nice sharp cheddar. I like how they cut the beef dogs into spirals to ensure the crispness on all sides. The BF got the bulgogi dog(bulgogi, grilled onion, mushroom, pineapple, and house sauce all over a beef hot dog) and he seemed to like it a lot! There is a basic selection of beer for $ 3.50 a bottle and as a bonus, they serve kimchi as a legit side order! Another nice thing is that they have a good selection of vegetarian dogs too for the health conscious. The counter helper was super sweet and friendly. Overall, give them a try the next time you are in Greenwood!

Not a big hotdog eater but this place really seals the deal for me.(: Not only hot dogs but their street subs and chili fries are amazing as well. Leo is amazing! hard working and very nice, their hot dogs are made to perfection. My favorite one is the Atlanta dog. The coleslaw is nice and fresh and chili is preeeetttyy good, not the best but good enough to come back and order another one. They have a great thing going on here. Totally recommend. Oh not to mention their punch card idea is brilliant! Your able to tack it down and not worry about losing it in your over crowded wallet/purse.

The hot dogs were hot dogs, tasty but average. I did love the fact that they offered plenty of toppings to pile on. Another plus was their french fries: thin cut, piping hot and plenty to munch down on. The negative was the price, for two Seattle dog meals that featured a fountain drink and fries the total came to $ 21. Probably a little much for a hot dog lunch. Oh well. Beware of the fountain soda machine, on the day I went all the flavors had run dry. No thanks soda water.

These are some tasty dogs. Yes, they are somewhat overpriced — especially if you order two of them, like my fat ass did — but the hot dogs are big enough that you only need one. The menu is kind of weird. I mean, they have some odd products with kimchi and other Asian-inspired combinations, but since this was my first time I decided to keep it simple and stick with their hot dogs. I went with the Seattle and Kansas City Dog since the Hawks were playing the Chiefs that day. I preferred the Seattle over the Kansas City, because the saltiness of the hot dog, combined with the cream cheese and fried onions were a perfect combination. I love to get German brats with mustard and sauerkraut, but for some reason the Kansas City was a little too sour for me. Possibly because they grill the kraut, which could give it a little more potency. I don’t know what they do to their dogs, but when they serve them sort of spiraled or cut up in such a way that makes them elongate(see picture). Personally, I didn’t mind, but some people might find it odd. Overall, Diggity Dog is one of the best hot dog joints in Seattle, easily in the top 5. If you’re not going to Red Hot in Tacoma, then you definitely need to stop by Diggity.

Whoever thought of putting cream cheese on a hot dog is a freaking genius!!! I stopped by Diggity Dog while I was studying in the area. Greenwood is a very quiet area, but has some great eats, coffee shops, and stores. I ordered the Kimchi dog, and boy was it spicy! The bun was slightly toasted and crispy upon the first bite. The cream cheese perfectly complimented the kimchi and the hot dog size was a substantial portion for $ 6. Whats even cooler is the hot dog is spiraled and is packed with great flavors. The owners are very warm and welcoming! I’d recommend visiting this establishment if you are in the are! I’ll definitely be back.
