This business has some questionable practices. Beware. I put in an application for the Kam Lo apartment building several days ago after responding to a craigslist posting. Five other people also put in an applications at the same time, as they had an open house for the apartment (20+ people showed up). As I put in the application, I confirmed with the manager that I would hear back the following day. She confirmed this and stated that they were going to run credit checks in the morning and notify everyone that afternoon. Unfortunately, I did not hear back the next day or the following day, so I decided to call and ask about the status of my application. I left a message and received a call back later in the day that the manager was notified and she would be calling me shortly. The manager still did not call or email, so I emailed the following day. She stated that they decided to go with another tenant, but would deposit my check for the application fee. I completely understand that; however, I’m concerned that they didn’t even look at my application or run a credit check. I know they did not call my references. They could make quite a bit taking application fees from 5+ people at $ 30/​each and just depositing the money. Again, be wary of this rental company.
