Sad to say Eats has closed their doors for good. The space is getting turned into a wing joint.

Really going to miss this place. I’m going to have to try their new restaurant called Niche! All their healthy foods were amazing really sad to see them go!

If you offer a pickle spear on the side you can usually get me to keep coming back for your food. Needless to say this place offers this as a side and I keep coming back. There are almost literally no places to eat near the Roxbury park area of west Seattle so it’s nice that this island restaurant actually makes some pretty tasty stuff. The menu shows their specialty as a sandwich place where I would recommend the Reuben or pastrami. If you’re shopping in the Westwood center this is the place to go… both by default and because it’s worth it.

All day breakfast! Local ingredients and family owned. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I have found my favorite place to eat while shopping at Westwood Village.

Servers were extremely approachable and we were seated immediately. Love small family run businesses! You can tell their food is fresh and has the taste of home made goods — coleslaw and their corn beef. I had the pastrami Reuben which was delicious. The bread was buttered and toasted, their meats came from Zoe meats and the sandwich came out hot just like what a hot sandwich should be. My husband got the corn beef hash, it came with four rye toast. Their rye toast smells great, I think there is a little bit of fennel in it but it was the bomb. Serving size is pretty large and definitely worth the price. Now I can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes, I’m glad we moved in nearby!

Best burgers in the world. I always find something good here — super-happy this place is part of my neighborhood! Today I had the tuna melt with coleslaw and pickle. My 2-year-old got the shells and cheese, and a small milk with a straw. They were great about getting the milk out asap to keep him happy. We got the brown butter blueberry tart with ice cream to go, and it was amazing, too. I’ve also had and loved their cookie-n-ice cream sandwiches, old-fashioned brown cows, and their side green salad. Good stuff.

Yeah. I could go into it… but super rude service — we are close by ut would never ever visit again. We ate outside and they treated us like pariahs when we had to use the restroom. 40 bucks for 2 sandwiches and 2 orders of macaroni and cheese and super rude service? I don’t care what SeattleMagazine says– we will never come again.

Eats is a great lunch destination while you’re power shopping at the nearby stores in Westwood village. They serve a mean hamburger — perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients — add a bag local potato chips since they don’t sell fries(my only complaint). Eats might be more known for their Reubens, salads and soups(all to die for), but I rank their burger among the Best in the West Seattle.

this café is pretty good. breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts. right when we walked in, we were immediately greeted with friendly faces. we were sat near the kitchen. our server brought us waters and dropped off menus. she came by a few minutes later to take our drink orders. we were also ready to order, but she ran away before we could give her our order. no biggy, we werent in a big hurry anyway. i ordered the half veggie sammy no pumpkin seeds add red onions with a side of cole slaw and my boyfriend ordered a bowl of matzo ball soup. my sandwich was HUGE! i couldnt believe that was a half sandwich! it came on whole wheat bread with a house made cream cheese spread. its a little stale, but still very good. the veggies were nice and fresh! i wish they gave me a little more spread though. the cole slaw was ok. the matzo ball soup was AMAZINGGGG! it came with a slice of sourdough. for those of you who have never had matzo ball soup before, it tastes like chicken noodle soup, but no noodles. instead, theres a giant ball of spongy chicken-y flavorful goodness. im assuming he was given 2 matzo balls because he ordered a bowl as opposed to just 1 ball for a cup. everything was sooo yummy! we ended our meal with a yummy chocolate chip cookie. so why 4 stars and not 5? they werent on top of refilling our drinks. but still, good service. i recommend everyone trying the matzo ball soup! the best!

I went in and me and my friend were the only ones waiting. The guy said just give us few minutes and we’ll get you in. Then this other girl comes and she said you need to write your name down so we can seat you. I was like ok. Then she never called me she just pointed at a table, we sat down and waited to be served, well I end up leaving because she didn’t bother to come and take my order. I guess they don’t need my business and they won’t have it!

I like the service, but the food is hit or miss. Their food use to be so good I’m not sure what changed. The décor REALLY needs some help. It’s never a good sign for a business to have tape holding the booths together.

I’ve eaten here numerous times and the food is okay. Sometimes it’s too greasy; the cook needs to take a little more time and blot the grease from the potatoes or hash. The service is hit or miss, most times you have to flag the server down to get water refills.

The food is bland, over priced and small portions. The fried egg sandwich had barely any chevre on it, the bread was too grilled and the egg way overdone. The chickpea curry wrap was mostly spinach and really dry. The waitress was rude and mostly ignored us, often walking away from the table rather than reply to our questions. Won’t be coming back.

I do like the food. yes, I do. BUTTHESERVICESUCKKKKKKKKKSSSSS. :( Being in the service industry for a very very very long time, I know how it works. This place is known for its morning and lunch service, even having an all day breakfast, so why not hire more staff during those busy times? I have gone there three times, and today was my last. Lunch service should be a little faster than dinner, especially on weekdays as most patrons will be short on time. I got sat rather quickly, but waited 20 minutes before I walked out since no one had come to take my order. I figured, if it took twenty minutes to get my order in, then it would take another 20 to get my food out, and I just didn’t have enough time for that. I went to QFC and got a Boars Head sandwich for half the price instead.

Knocking it down a peg. Service is still mostly on point, but we’ve rolled through here a few times and got spotty service. Worse than that, the last time I had the biscuits & gravy it took 30 minutes and was cold, hard cafeteria fare. No bueno, Batman. They did take it off the bill, but it’s still enough reason not to come back.

Decent food. I would say go for breakfast. Huge portions & good choices! I had the southwest veggie hash, it could easily feed 2. My bf had the egg sandwich which came with a goat cheese & mustard spread which he said made the sandwich. Service was great & we didn’t have to wait at all to be seated & food took about 15 mins. The other breakfast items looked good & I’d like to try the biscuits. I also went for lunch once & had a veggie burger. It was ok, they forgot the cheese.whatever. They don’t have fries… so sad :(They serve their burgers with Tim’s chips which is alright but I prefer fries. Again, service was great & food came out quick.

I went for lunch when they first open and I hated it, then again I wasn’t in the mood for«healthy food» but I found myself back in there for dinner and I was wrong. I love this place! Everything from the homemade iced tea to everything on the menu. Great service, good price, late hours. Worth checking out!

Finding out that they serve breakfast all day was the first win. I tried the Veggie Hash(potatoes, red pepper, mushroom, jalapeño, spinach, tomato, onion, eggs, and toast) and the waitress was very accommodating to my dietary needs. She had no problem substituting the eggs with black beans for me. Service was great and fast. I would definitely come here again if I’m in the area.

The Soup: They have a note on their menu to ask about their quarts of soup to go so after a workout at the gym next door, I stopped to pick up a quart of the chicken soup with matzo balls. They get a 4 stars for the soup! The deep colored broth is not too salty and you can tell is made from scratch. The large matzo balls aren’t quite as dense I normally like and you only get two per quart but that’s made up for by the quality of the broth accompanied by sliced carrots and a few strips of dark chicken meat. I imagine if this were ordered with the noodles it might even be great enough to raise this rating. I’ll probably try it again, but not very frequently for the following reason… The pricing. It’s very good soup, but over $ 17 for a quart of soup? Soup prices are not what they were, it’s true, but I can still get a quality quart of soup at PCC for $ 8. This is twice as much. And that’s a bit much. The Brunch: Tried eating in today for the first time(review above is from a week ago’s take out). The earlier low reviews for this place are startling because the food here is pretty good. We had the biscuits & turkey gravy with 2 eggs over medium and the breakfast sliders. Food comes out freaky fast. You get two sliders made up of cheddar, scrambled eggs and a sausage patty sandwiched by buttermilk biscuit halves. Hash browns are not too greasy but are still good. The other dish had eggs perfectly done with runny yolks over the simple but tasty gravy that would only have been better if ordered with the sausage. Mop that up with the halved biscuit under the gravy and you have just the right amount of food to make a meal. I’d still leave the review as a 3 — 3.5 because this place is definitely not cheap considering the amount of food you get versus other places like OPH and Jak’s. An entrée is enough for one meal(no leftovers), $ 5 for two coffees, adding up to just under $ 30 for two. I can easily see people with heartier appetites walking away hungry. Come to think of it, two people did walk out after scanning the menu… Service is hit or miss. There were lots of open tables and two open booths, but they didn’t like it when we asked for a booth to make it easier on my partner’s back yet a couple came in later that they seated in the other open booth. Otherwise the service was perfectly friendly.
