A great place to get lunch or dinner with a friendly and clean environment. I find myself ordering 2 enchiladas or a simple burrito for 8 – 10 $ and I get a place of food bigger then my head. You definitely get your money’s worth with the taste and the amount of food you get. Another thing is most Mexican places are very corny and are not the real thing, this place is 100% authentic with the way it is designed from the carved wood in the booth to the lush paintings on the wall. I highly recommend this place if you are going to eat by yourself or with your family.

I was raised in Mexico and I am very picky with mexican food but this place is great! It has a great Menu and flavors are authentic. The decoration is lovely and the staff is really friendly. I had the Carne Asada tacos and a Michelada and they where perfect! I will definitely be back when I’m craving some food from home.

This is one of my favorite places in Seattle! The happy hour is great, drinks are amazing(my favorite margarita in Seattle), and the food is authentic and fresh. We come here often and the staff and owners are so welcoming and friendly :)

During the summers I live on margaritas and guacamole. Is that hard to find in Seattle? No. But does El Camino do it the best? Yes. And the rest of the menu(that I’ve tried) is also excellent. And a great patio? You’ll find me here a lot.

As if I wasn’t instantly in love with the covered patio and that being a completely valid reason for 5 stars, allow me to continue. Their michelada was spicy and savory, pretty well done. In the leftover bottle of milkshake-esque remains I’d like to see a shot class of spicy mix to add to the leftover beer. Drinking down a well mixed michelada and then adding beer to create a 90% beer with a hue of pink isn’t as enjoyable. More mix, please! I mean wasn’t it $ 6 – 8? Just gimme a shot of mix to continue my festivities. It was Tecate. You’re still making money. But that was a tasty spicy beer. I also got the spicy margarita based on another table member’s recommendation. Also super tasty. We decided amongst the table that there should be chips and salsa here. Maybe not unlimited but a basket or two. 6 people, 6 hours. We spent a lot on drinks. A Saturday night. Chips and salsa would not have been an overextension. Still. Loved every moment here.

Such a delightful outside seating area on a sunny day! Everyone was beyond friendly, the happy hour was smashing, and the tacos– delicious. Definitely a winning stop for not your run of the mill tacos :) also, right next to Pipe + Row… dangerous after a few Pacificos!

Mole done right. Chocolate sauce. Yum. And the Tres Leche cake is fantastic. Also the guacamole. Top shelf margaritas were good. A good place to land when you want something different. We’ve been several times and it is always good.

Best Bloody Mary on earth! Great vibe from the staff, you can tell they work well together. My favorite dish is the salmon! Also their tres leches cake is one of my favorite deserts in Seattle. I love eating somewhere I can trust the ingredients to be responsibly sourced !

I stopped in for lunch a couple of days in a row as I was in town for a class. I enjoyed the ambiance and the wait staff was very friendly. It’s a very casual environment which was nice since I wanted to hang out and read. I had their chicken quesadilla the fist day and it came hot, melty and delicious. The tortilla was clearly handmade. The serving size was perfect and the guacamole was delicious! Second day I had the Ensalada Verde which was a good size, delicious dressing, but it wasn’t very filling, I would add chicken next time. I also found the tortilla threads to be stale and tough to chew. This salad was delicious but lacked substance. I will be back. The food was tasty, fresh and well thought out. I will say when it gets busy the staff seems to get frazzled and it can feel like they forget about you.

We were in the Fremont area for an Escape Game and stopped in for a margarita beforehand. I loved the interior and the wait staff was very friendly so we went back after the game for dinner. Plantain chips with spicy salsa and guacamole were really good. The Fish Tacos, Enchiladas and steak salad also top notch. I am definitely keeping this restaurant in my book. Oh, if you get 3 spoons in your napkin, you get a free dessert.

I adore this place — have never had a bad time there. The scratch margarita is lovely, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, the servers are cute, and the food is delicious(we love the tortas, chilaquiles, and steak capitolina). Helpful hint: There are often families in the front dining area, so if you’d rather not hang with children and babies, head for the bar or the enclosed deck at the back. But don’t go on the nights I’m headed there, since I want my favorite table. Very LGBTQ-friendly, rarely a douche-bro in sight.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I like the chill atmosphere. Came in for some veggie tacos, which were traditionally made and so fat, I had to eat them with a fork. SOOO Much avocado! And that is not a complaint by any means!!! :-D The chips and picco/guac dip were good, but the chips began to feel stale towards the end. I would have liked to have seen the guac in it upon receiving, as it was buried. We almost sent it back until that was realized. Not a huge selection of beers on tap, but I found something decent, and they do have two different Seattle Ciders available too.

This place is a convenient location for anyone that lives in Fremont, Ballard or Queen Anne neighborhoods. It is great Mexican food and the margaritas are fabulous, the Cadillac is my go-to. The plantain chips and guacamole are a must, but I would recommend ordering extra chips as the quantity isn’t always a lot. We had 5 people in our group and also ordered chips and salsa, for the price and quantity it definitely wasn’t worth it. Just go all in and buy two orders if guac! After trying everyone’s plate we decided that the steak and mole sauce and salmon sweet potato dish take the win! I’ll be headed back the next time my tequila craving kicks in.

Went here late on a Saturday night around 10. The restaurant was mostly empty with a few folks at the bar, and a big group near the entrance. Seemed like a regular americanized mexican bar. We took a seat at one of the high tables, and no one even noticed we were there for the first 10 minutes. After a while, one of the servers noticed that we hadn’t been served, and came with some waters and menus, and apologized for the delay. After that, service was decent and the server was attentive. However, the bartenders and other servers just seemed to be talking among themselves, and seemed very disinterested. The have a pretty extensive mexican drinks menu. We got a sangria which wasn’t too bad, but not that good either. We also tried a few mexican beers they don’t have in other restaurants. The food was fine, but it lacked a lot of flavor. We got the chilaquiles and some tacos. The tacos were fine, but the chilaquiles was bland. The server did get us many cups of different salsas and hot sauces, which helped a lot. The salsas were excellent, but can’t say the same of the entrees. Kept thinking I should have just gotten the guac, based on other reviews here. The interiors and décor is sort of divey. Just some random posters here and there. It’s just another neighborhood joint, very typical of fremont. I felt that the prices were high for the place, ambiance and service. This might be a decent neighborhood joint, but would not recommend this to folks going to Fremont from elsewhere. There are many better places there. I might go again for Happy Hour, but probably not for dinner.

I came here for a friend’s birthday dinner. The restaurant was packed, so I would recommend making reservations if you come here on a Friday or Saturday night. When I walked in the hostesses seemed distracted and didn’t notice that I walked in, as they were trying to figure out seating arrangements for the group who came in right before me. Since my friends were already in the restaurant I decided that instead of waiting for the hostesses to help me since they were tied up, I could just look for my friends inside. But I was immediately stopped by one hostess who looked angry, as she asked how she could help me. I told her that I was here for a party who made a reservation, which she then lightened up and allowed me to enter. So, that was fun. We sat in the back bar area at a long table. Our server was really nice, and seemed to be patient with us, especially in the earlier part of the night. But as the night became later, he started to forget about us and wasn’t as attentive as earlier. At one point when we wanted to buy the birthday gal a shot, the waiter hadn’t come to our table for the pass 20 minutes so someone decided to just go over to the bar where he was and put in the order. When our server was about to tell the bartender the order, the bartender barked back at him saying, «I can’t right now!» Clearly, the bartender was stressed so my friend’s friend just walked back to the table and gave us a look like she was interrupting something. We then just waited for the server to get back to us whenever he could since the bartender refused to talk to him about the shot. Despite everything though, our server was friendly and tried the best he could hence the two stars. The food though is nothing to brag about. I had ordered a cesar salad and added a free range chicken breast for an additional seven dollars, making the total of my salad 15 dollars. Once my plate came though it was such a small portion — certainly not entrée size. It was more of a side salad with a chicken breast. I thought that given the price it would be suitable for an actual meal, but it’s not. It’s just an overpriced side. And it wasn’t good at all. The romaine lettuce was limp from it being drenched in dressing. Either way, there was no crunch factor. The chicken breast was bland. There was no seasoning at all. Gahhh! I will never eat here again.

When I eat here, I feel like kneeling down and thanking baby Hey-zeus for creating corn and and chile peppers and cotija cheese and beer and what happens when lime is added to anything, but especially tequila, and the special magic that happens when fire is skillfully applied to meat! Oh gawd, the mussels, the capitalano… I have some loyalty to la carta de Oaxaca… but the best items here are the best Mexican in Seattle.

Pedrito was our waiter, he was absolutely excellent. Perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy. Food was bitchin, fish tacos were perfect as was the banana leaf tamales. Only suggestion– get some better ginger beer for Moscow mules.

Favorite restaurant in the Fremont area of Seattle. I visit almost once a week and the food is on point every. Single. Time. It is frustrating to visit a restaurant and love the food but then you go back and the flavors are a bit different, maybe the portion is different, overall just doesn’t compare to your first visit. This is NEVER the case with El Camino. Everything I have tried has been consistently delicious and I have not been disappointed once. Low lighting and very cozy atmosphere. Clean! Lastly the staff is friendly and you can tell they work well as a team. I am baffled that El Camino doesn’t have a higher rating here on Unilocal

We were about to just walk straight past this place if it hasn’t for the beautiful colorful lights! It was a magical lucky discovery. We also happened to walk in during happy hour. I love the happy hour menu as well. They have tacos and quesadillas for 6 – 7 bucks. I like the house made chocolate infused mole, and I like that they didn’t drown my taco with too much sauce. The happy hour drinks were also awesome, including house margarita. I can be indecisive and the waiter was incredibly patient and had a good sense of humor. Can’t say enough good things about this place! I highly recommend it:)

Decent Mexican with good sized portions. The Margaritas are big, the mole enchiladas are flavorful, the plantains and guacamole are tasty, but oddly it was the mussels that had us licking our plates there.

This place was awesome a few years ago. We always came in for the mussel. They were the best in Seattle, but they no longer serve them:( We stopped in recently and I split an order of the Chilaquiles De Chile Verde with my husband. Very average. We order a side of Pico de Gallo which I thought added more to the dish as it was on the dry side. We ask for margaritas without SALT but got tons of salt. We didn’t send back and my husband drank them both. I have had their taco before and they are A-OK We have never had a issue with finding parking nearby.

I would give El Camino 3.5 stars. It was great food and good selection of tequila. I got the fish tacos and I would argue that they are best fish tacos in Seattle. I would highly recommend the Tacos de Pescado or the Bistec al Estilo Capitalino.

I’ll definitely get the plantain chips with guacamole again — I LOVED the way they were plated and the flavor was great as well. The service however was meh and carne asada taco dry. Pulled pork is the way to go if you’re ordering tacos. Plantains were good enough and the atmosphere at el camino enjoyable enough to give this place another try in the future.

If you aren’t careful you could walk right past this place! But you definitely shouldn’t do that! We stopped in on a Thursday night. Super friendly man seated us on the patio. The patio is awesome! It was a great day out but the patio is also enclosed with a fireplace so it can be enjoyed during less nice days as well. For dinner we enjoyed the enchiladas with mole poblano and the fish tacos. The mole was not the type I was expected but it was soooo good! And the fish tacos were great as well. We also enjoyed multiple glasses of sangria which was some of the better sangria I’ve had in Seattle! Looking forward to spending more time sipping sangria on that patio!

I’ve been here twice on two different dates, and this place has been the highlight of both. It’s really cute, the patio is my favorite! The plantain chips are a nice touch. It’s kind of expensive as far as Mexican food goes but I think it’s worth it. Bartenders in Fremont are always friendly and I love going out around there. It’s next to everything and a good place to start out at before a night of drinking in the area.

Classic Mexican food cart. It’s quick and it’s decent. I’ve tried them while passing by a few times and they make decent salsas. The tacos are better than at lots of other places. It’s definitely a keeper but it is a middle of the good road taco stand.

Took 45+ minutes for food, the drinks took just as long in between, both entrées were incorrect… food sat getting cold at our table while they remedied ONE of the mistakes. I then asked for them both to be remade because they were cold and wrong. The manager then proceeded to be a total douche telling me I’d be charged twice, brought the plates back exactly the same acting like they had remade it. Food was still cold(and greasy) The bill looked as tho he had charged me twice and when I brought this up to the manager he was catty and snotty. Very unprofessional way all of it was handled . all in all, small portions, over priced, bad service. Never coming back.
