Elite Kids Learning Academy

We are having a fantastic experience with Elite Kids. As we were looking for a school they were easy to get a hold of and have a visit. Our three year old loves it and talks about her teachers when she is not there. Trish exudes a huge passion for children, along with her years of experience, and they LOVE her. She’s been a delight to work with and supportive and understanding amidst the transition to childcare (like us forgetting to notify them when our child wouldn’t be there!). The rooms are spacious and separate from one another so the space is quiet, and the rooms are clean, bright, and creatively and colorfully decorated in ways that kids enjoy and feel comfortable in (yet not too overstimulating). A great learning environment. And our child has become much more talkative since starting here and loves to share with us the routines, songs and activities she learns at school.

My son liked it there for a few months, then he started coming home with scratches on his neck, had to take photos, No one could tell me what happened. then my son started being afraid to go there. He told me a boy there beat him up. When I confronted the teachers, Miss Angela, told me it was nothing, just a stupid fight over a toy on the playground. I told her to not discount my sons feelings, I had just told her I had to pry him off. the bus. He cried at the bus stop for five minutes before I could coax him in to walking with me. that was really when the I noticed his new attitude towards this place. I have come to pick him up several times, and another child would come up to mine and stomp on his leg, or take the blocks/​toy my son was holding and throw it across the room. I looked over to miss Kayla, and she turned her head. It is not upto me to say something to this boy to stop his behavior, But no one else was doing anything, so I had to tell him it was not okay to play like that. he then went on to a baby and took his car and threw that across the room too, still no reaction from miss Kayla. Another time, I was picking up my son and Miss Angela and Miss Renita were leaning on the short fence talking, outside separating the older kids from the toddlers. there was a baby boy, around 12 months old, with mucus and dirt covering half his face, crying, unsoothed. I picked up the boy, and shushed him and swayed him on my hip, then the two teachers turned to me and said it was his first day, I asked them for tissue, which they told me was inside the building. they said the boys brother was in the older class and maybe he would feel better if he had his brother over there with him. then they called his brother to play with him and let him through to the other side of the fence. Another time Miss angela was trying to line the kids up outside the back door before they could go inside, A boy with autism whom I obviously cannot name, was wandering around and Miss Angela grabbed him by the back of his jacket and yanked him back while yelling at the other kids to get in line. My son would fight me every day, even when we werent going there he wanted to make sure we werent by saying, «no school today» then finally a teacher quit without notice and I saw her outside of work, shopping, she told me she had left because of how the children were treated. Under the direction of the owner, the «teachers» were mistreating the children with a dshs copay. I am a parent with such copay. if there a fight between kids, the kids with dshs would get in trouble, regardless, so that child would tell their parents they dont like it, and hopefully make room for a private pay child. Trish would tell me she didnt know what my son was upset about, and that she had never seen him upset EVER. and that if he was so upset, I should take him somewhere else. just so you know the numbers, dshs, only pays $ 2 an hour, approximately. and private pay is $ 65 per day. she had even told me once, that I was lucky she even accepted dshs copay. there were far more issues, but as you can tell this review is long enough. Have a good day and be aware of your childs well being.

Elite kids has a friendly staff, your kids will be safe and be read too no movie babysitting. The price is the best in the area and usually have spots open. For Seattle this is a good welcoming place.
