I’ve always had a soft spot for ETG. It’s an adorable little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, one of the first I ever visited in Seattle. The staff is always so friendly, and my coffee is always good. But my opinion was solidified when I went in on my birthday. I happened to mention to the barista that it was my birthday, and she gave me my coffee on the house. Happy birthday to me!

It’s a small shop that’s meant to be for take out only. The decoration of the shop is very classic. The coffee tastes slightly more sour than what most coffee shops offer. I think it was good nevertheless.

This is my first trip to Seattle, and as an avid(and quite picky) black coffee drinker and enthusiast, I have been rather excited to explore the coffee capital of the world. I arrived in Seattle this morning, checked in to my Air BnB in the Fremont neighborhood, and picked up a cup of coffee from this unique little coffee shop, making it my first Seattle coffee experience. I found the price for my large cup of coffee to be standard. The dark roast that they had brewing for today had a nice nutty flavor with low acidity. I, personally, would have liked it to be a little stronger in flavor but I did enjoy it. I loved the atmosphere of the shop and the barista was very friendly and welcoming.

It is difficult to earn this title in java town, Seattle. But ETG Café, as little of a place as it’s may be the greatest kept secret as far as java goes in town. I had a cappuccino there and I just wish I could have one of those every day… just divine! They just UNDERSTAND the best way to prepare it.

Delicious coffee! Definitely check this spot out if you have time and love coffee. It’s a small place, and one server was working so the wait took a little while but it was worth it! The server was super nice too!

Consistently good lattes(to be honest, Fremont or Milstead are comparable), but their pastries are hands-down the BEST. I get a blueberry scone and latte about once a week, and it is the best way to start my morning. They also do bomb gluten-free pastries(even though I’m not), and the baristas are so friendly and love to chat with you. So glad this place is right by my work!

This place rocks. House made pastries, lovely ambience, and super delicious, house roasted coffee. The tall brunette who is often on bar is literally the sweetest person on the mother f*n planet.

Lattes are kind of inconsistent — some days they’re amazing and other days they taste kind of Meh. But I love this place. It’s in a good location(some days I just don’t feel like going all the way down to Ladro). Even the tiny-ness of it is endearing, which is a big accomplishment from someone like me, who hates being in confined spaces with humanity. :P I especially like the people who work there — I wish I knew all of their names, especially the one women I see there most often. They’re all cool people, but not so cool that they can’t be nice AND they’ve all been nice to my kid. This is a rarity among hipster spots.

Their mocha is definitely best across Seattle. The store is very tiny. It can barely seated for more than 4 people, but the quality of coffee is amazing. I strongly recommend to get the mocha with their homemade marshmallow! I cannot take the Starbucks mocha because it’s too sweet. The sweetness of the marshmallow and mocha is perfect!

Small coffee shop, more of a pick up and go place. Had very interesting deco. For such a tiny spot they have so much going on! Had a cappuccino and a scone and they were both awesome! Will come back if I’m in the area again.

ETG deserves more than 5 stars. Seriously the best way to start your day is coming here. Hands down best espresso I’ve ever had and I’ve been a barista in NYC and the north east I’m floored. Ask for a homemade marshmallow to go with your drink if you dare! Yum And then purchase every baked good and taste the love. We had such a great morning after coming here I even got a gift card for a friend This is one rabbit hole you shouldn’t resist!

No cold brew but good iced coffee. They make their baked goods in house and they looked very tempting when they were plating them the morning I dropped by. Parking is impossible in the afternoon/evening but early morning(before 7:30) is fairly easy to get a spot right outside to run in and grab-n-go on the way to work. I would stop by again, especially to try out their baked goods!

Everyone who knows me knows I’m admittedly not really a coffee person(I know — blasphemy in Seattle) so take this review as you will. As everyone says — this place is teeny tiny but with tons of character. A few friends and I dropped in for a late morning coffee while walking around Fremont and could barely all fit inside to order. The barista was Ms Chatty Cathy but not in a bad way — she was hilarious. We ordered a vanilla latte, a mocha, and a couple black coffees. I by no means would be opposed to visit here again but there are a handful of other places between my house and here that would suffice just as well if/when I do have the random coffee craving.

Friendly staff, great décor interior — super small space and when I needed it the most, no bathroom. But anyway I enjoyed my cappuccino sitting on the old theater seats outside.

ETG is the best. I love everyone who works here, and I love their coffee. They are literally the closest coffee to my work, and thank god. I swear my work practically lives at ETG, it’s a good thing they like us! Thank you, ETG. Your pastry display is divine, all of them are heaven in the mouth, and your coffee is the nectar of the gods. Be warned: ETG is tiny, there’s only three chairs outside, and one seat inside. Be expecting a wait for delicious coffee, but it’s well worth it! ETG is like the Paseo’s of coffee!

Cute little place! There were 2 people in line ahead of me, so one of the baristas came around to where I was standing by the door to take my order. Thought that was really sweet. :)

ETG rules! This is my sweetie’s favorite place for coffee and pastries. If they have hand pies, we end up buying a boxful. The ninja makes most of the treats here, and the things he comes up with are amazing. Whoopie pies! Faux hostess cupcakes! You never know what you’re going to find. The cinnamon rolls are soooo good. I can’t tell you how many vegetable sandwiches I’ve eaten from here! They roast their coffee, and it is so flavorful that my mom makes me ship it to her in Florida after tasting it on a visit up here. Seriously, I have to mail it to her every other month. It’s the best!

Delicious espresso. Quaint shop. Friendly and efficient service. Amazing pastries. What’s not to love? My brother recommended ETG for their espresso and I was not disappointed. The latte was full bodied and unpretentious. The waitress was inviting and it was evident that she cared about her customers. To complete the experience, by brother ordered a cinnamon apple raisin roll, which is somewhat braided rather than rolled, and it was fabulous! Soft in the center, full of cinnamon flavor, and the perfect accompaniment to coffee. Given the little time it takes to get your drinks, it’s well worth a few minutes to stop in.
