Extra Space Storage

This facility is very nice, warm and secure. However, the cost to rent storage space is astronomical. The only way anyone could afford to pay $ 450 per month for a 10×20 unit to store their junk is if they were rich. Thats almost the cost of a studio apt in someones basement, and you can live in a basement. Lets try more decent rental rates folks, like $ 225 per month. Thats a more realistic rate to keep my crap there and never visit for months on end.

Misty and Vicente are down to earth people, easy to work with and very vigilant. Besides them residing on site I really like that security codes are user friendly and property is secure. If you want to get better rates I’d advice going on line and getting online rates.

This Is simply the best storage place ever. Wonderful charming highly efficient staff and the cleanest neatest storage facility any where Oh yeah the prices are very reasonablel

My daughter is a student athlete at the University of Washington and is originally from Los Angeles. My fiancé and I flew to Seattle to help her store her things for the summer until school begins in September. I called a few of local storage facilities and luckily I found Extra Space Storage near where my daughter will be living off campus when she returns to school. Misty was extremely helpful and very customer service oriented. I felt confident about the security of the facility when we walked in and after Misty explained the procedures and showed us around I was pleased. The premises were very clean and organized she was and eager to help and inform you of everything you needed to know. I give this place a 2 thumbs up!

My family has had two storage lockers at this facility for the past year. The on-​site managers, Misty and Vince, have been nothing but friendly, helpful and professional since Day One. Besides the great security measures here this is also the most spotlessly-​clean storage facility I’ve ever seen — they really keep up on maintenance to make it a pleasant place. They (and new Asst. Mgr. Amber, who did my paperwork for a third unit) always go out of their way to make customers feel welcome there and I really appreciate this degree of great customer service. The rental prices are not cheap but that is the case all over the area — I’ve found Extra Space Storage to be competitive with all the other similar facilities and the positive attitude that all the employees possess is refreshing.

Very clean facility! Great office staff — very professional! Misty and Vincent have been especially helpful to a member of our family. Misty was very patient and took the time to clarify issues and explain options — we really appreciate her assistance as we worked to downsize our relative’s storage to a smaller unit.

I’ve had to use self storage several times in life and found this one to be clean, operating well, equipment available with friendly staff.
Compared to other experiences, if I have to give money to store my stuff — I’d rather give it to them

I would rather give them 2.5 stars but that isn’t an option. Overall they are pretty nice and the facility is clean. Rents are a bit high in my opinion. The thing I’m most unhappy about is that the refuse to refund any excess rent when you move out. If you’ve paid on the first and move out on the second, you lose all of that money. I had to units here and ended up losing $ 150 that last month in rent I’d paid but couldn’t get back. They say this is a company policy and they told me when I moved in, which may be true but I don’t remember that. I’m especially annoyed when I read other reviewers who say they did get refunded.
If I have to store things again, which I will strenously avoid, I doubt I will use this company or facility again. If you do use them, just be sure to time your departure better than I did, namely leave right before your next rent payment is due.

We use Extra Space Storage for our business and these folks have been fantastic from start to finish. We love the site managers, the facility is immaculate and the hours 6am — 10pm (or 24 hours a day for business accounts) is far and away better than the competition. Did I mention they blew the field away with their pricing?

I am at the end of my 18 month «stay» at Extra Space. We finally found another house — yay!
I really cannot recommend Extra Space enough. Yes, there are some silly corporate policies but if you read your agreement you’ll know what to do and not do regarding rent.
The managers were wonderful to us. They pro-​rated our final month’s rent so we only had to pay for the three days we used. They told us how to avoid having to pay for the whole month (by not pre-​paying w/​auto-​pay).
We always felt the managers were on our side, we never had any problems, and we appreciate how clean, secure and convenient the facility is.

Call around looking for units being very specific about needs — outside, drive up entrance directly to unit. Response — oh yes we have it! Boss likes unit, signs contract. I go to put stuff into it today and pull into parking lot, insert code at double doors, go inside get flatbed cart, truck it to my car, load up, insert code AGAIN to open double doors, wander unmarked hallways rolling said flatbed cart till unit is found. Start unloading and look up, wow, someone could crawl in from the next unit and look at stuff, maybe even steal it. Walls do not go to ceiling, And then here’s the kicker, if you have to go to the bathroom, get back in your car and go find one because there isn’t one there to use after hours. I would never recommend this place and it’s also overpriced for the space.

I have used several different storage facilities and Extra Space Storage is the best. The facility itself is very very clean, well lit, and very secure. In addition to excellent care of the property, Misty and Vince really go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure customer savings and happiness. I honestly feel like they are always looking out for their customers. I am sad to be leaving. I highly recommend this site and the fantastic management staff.

They cost more than Lake City Storage and you have to deal with sleazy salespeople. The guy on the phone was using all the classic sleazy sales techniques. I couldn’t get off the phone fast enough.
