My husband and I have been getting our hair done with Genci for the last 10 years. He is amazing!
Always up on the newest trends, yet he lets you know what’s best for your type of hair and the shape of your face. He uses the best products that seem to keep my hair health as I go from blond to brunet.
He seems to be skilled in both men and woman hair styling. He works on my husbands hair as well and it looks great :)
From time to time I stray from him and experiment with a new place, but once I get my hear ruined I always come back :) Cause he can always fix it and make it look great. Highly recommend him!

I’ve been a client of Genci Filipi’s since 2000, before he opened his own salon. I’m a high maintenance client; my blonde highlights need to be perfect and really stand out. In 2007 I moved to the East Bay in CA… and I STILL fly to Seattle for my blonde highlights. Nobody is better and for anyone who lives in Seattle… you’re lucky he’s in your town! I have given friends in Berkeley and SF his name for a referral. AND THEY HAVE FLOWN THERE. He is the best for color, especially if you are a blonde. Period.

My friend is so pretty that people quit talking when she enters a room. She goes only to Ginci Filipi, so I tried him, too. I got many compliments on my hair color. (Foils of various colors) Even my little boy said, «Wow, mom, you look hot!» Some friends said I looked healthier. I’ve tried other salons that are closer, some that are more money, some that are less money… but only Ginci Filipi has the talent to make me look «hot.»

My boss started seeing Filipi Salon owner Genci Filipi because she loved a friend’s new hairstyle. I, and two of my friends started seeing Genci because we loved my boss’s new hairstyle, and each of us was ready for a serious style shakeup. The shop is small, comfortable, and convenient to Belltown. On-​street metered parking is never a problem. Genci is easygoing and friendly. Trained in Italy, he is creative, cuts really well, and is a complete master when it comes to color. He has a real eye for fashion and style. He also listens well, which everyone knows is essential in a good hairstylist. A day rarely goes by that I don’t receive several compliments on my hair… or, as Genci says, my most important fashion accessory. Bonus! Genci’s lovely wife is a skin care specialist and operates her own business at the same location. So a day of beauty at Filipi Salon is on my friends’ and my list of must-​dos very soon.

I must have forgotten to review our favorite hair stylist. Here is my overlong due review to Salon Filipi… the salon is nice and clean, very conveniently located close to the Pike Place Market, with several parking spots just outside the shop. The owner is from Europe and he is very nice. He always offers us an espresso (a good one!) or something to drink and that is very nice. We generally ask for Ricardo: he is very professional and a great hairstylist. He always does a wonderful job and his prices are very reasonable.
