Fred Meyer

In the 20 years I have been getting prescriptions this is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever encountered. I have been going to this pharmacy for too long considering the amount of trouble and lack of customer care that the staff at this particular Fred Meyers shows its customers.
I don’t know if its proximity to the city. Or the lack of training these workers have had. But not only can they not fill simple new prescriptions following through with PC doc to get meds covered. To downright aggressive and hostile at times.
I have had so many wonderful experiences with so many pharmacists from other Fred Meyers, bartells, Walgreens and top foods that I know what decent customer service is. I expect that staff that work with people with their medical needs should have some basic understanding of how to help the customers.

Ive never gotten bad service here. However everytime I go here the checker is always slow. Its kinda depressing they always have homeless people hanging around outside and in the area to eat hot food at. Thats another thing the place to eat hot food at is always dirty and a mess.

I got superior customer service yesterday at Lake City Fred Meyer. In shopping for clothes I had forgotten my reading glasses and the woman on the floor dug through the packed racks to find my style and size. In the Home department an employee stopped on his way somewhere else to answer my question. I found a coupon inside the baskets and he told me they would honor it even though it was expired. In the natural food section I was looking for Stoneyfield plain whole yogurt, and the employee called the guy who handles the natural foods. Finally at checkout I mentioned I had forgotten to get garlic. The cashier immediately asked if I wanted her to ring up one. Of course I agreed and a produce person helped me find one. He never questioned at all when I said I had the cashier ring it up already. Oh, and the two stock employees that helped me try to find cherry juice. They didn’t have it but mention that the manager would be happy to order it for me. What a great experience!

PHARMACY DEPARTMENT! Get your shit together, I’m sorry. I’ve been going here for a couple years now, I have no idea why I’ve put up with it every time. I have to get my prescription every month, and every time something seems to go wrong. There are a few nice employees but I don’t know if there is something wrong with the organization or there is just too many people or what!

A rather large Fred Meyer store. Never seen one quite as big. There’s two stories. TBH, I don’t particularly enjoy going here to shop because it feels a bit depressing in there due to the lighting and color scheme. Because of that, even though relatively clean and maintained, it still feels as if it is dirty and run down. There are numerous shoppers throughout the day but fortunately never have to wait too long to get checked out at the register.
I have come here a couple of times to pick up a light lunch from the deli and café section; however, I have had horrible customer service. There’s one lady who served me each time and was so impatient and rude with me. She kept huffing and puffing audibly if I didn’t immediately order. Considering there’s no menu on what the combos or prices are, I have to ask to find out. Well she finds that unacceptable and gets noticeably disgruntled quickly. She’s made my experience there awful and uncomfortable each and every time.
I do not recommend visiting this location.

I live near by and have been walking here to shop for food and drinks for over two years. Recently I went to purchase some beer and had my ID closely inspected because something seemed «weird». I waited five minutes or so as the clerk had to have a higher up inspect it as well resulting in «Honestly, I have no idea». I’ve had the same ID for five years.
So long, my walk-​to pantry.

Surly staff in the apparel department on evening shift. Two age 20ish rude, entitled, and condescending females have the worst attitudes of any sales staff I have ever seen anywhere. I love myself… so I will not be returning. If you feel the same way, go somewhere else!

This is the worst Fred Meyer I’ve ever been to. I love 5 minutes away from it, but I always choose the Greenwood location because I hate this one so much.
The layout is confusing, the lines are too long, and parking lot is sketchy.
I only come here as a last resort.

Fantastic Fred Meyer location in a sketchy part of town. The management at this location clearly trains their team to have top notch service and a clean store. Great location.

This Freddy’s on LCW is pretty nice, they have a really robust lawn/​garden unit and some really great home décor sections, too!
Not a huge selection of organic produce or proteins, though they do have a good natural snack section, bulk section, and the peanut butter that is made from whole peanuts.

To some extent all of these places are the same. They get the same stuff from distributors for the most part, so the core selection doesn’t vary too much. The differences come down to the layout, staff, and clientele. LCW Fred Meyer is historically a pretty raggedy location, but they have made it a bit nicer over the last 10 years. Lots of Fred Meyers have gotten a lot nicer recently, and this one has made small strides – but it’s still not the nicest one, for sure.
There’s plenty of parking, and it’s always busy. There’s a ton of residential for miles in every direction here, so it’s always gonna be crowded. Inside, it’s nice enough; they have updated the lighting and shelving and whatnot. You don’t feel like you’re picking through remaindered stuff at a flea market – there used to be some pretty grotty FMs, and this one has avoided that fate.
I used to come in here once in a while for hardware/​houseware basics – they have all the basic departments. I stopped by for some groceries last week and, while the selection definitely didn’t get into premium treats by any means, I found everything I needed. Prices are fair. Everything’s laid out well, and the staff were nice. The other shoppers ranged from mostly normal to a few real oddballs who made you wonder what they might do next, and then a few more white-​collar types who seemed to wish they didn’t have to mix with the common folk. It’s modern Lake City Way – you’re gonna get all kinds, for sure. Bottom line, this place has everything you need at reasonable prices.

The most dangerous Fred Meyer if you want to go there in the evening time when it’s pitch dark you’re always will fined someone fighting in the parking lot. I get so scared if I have to run there in the last minute because it’s just seriously dangerous

5 stars for Michael in apparel! I arrived home and didn’t find the Adidas running pants I’d bought in my shopping bag — but they were on the receipt. Michael let me know not to worry that they could easily be found from the cashier who would have put them in a special spot or wrote a closing note about them. He took the transaction number from my receipt and told me he’d call me back. 10 minutes later he called, about 20 mins later I had the pants in hand. Michael made it so easy and even apologized for me having to come back to the store. Totally easy, nice, and professional — at the Lake City Fred Meyer!!! Who would have known? THANKS MICHAEL!

So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I started working on lake city wy NE very recently and I love Fred Meyers breakfast bake so I was excited to continue my renton routine of having a bite before starting work. I went as far as to ask 3 of the deli employees to make it because once I know it’s always in stock I will have breakfast 5 days a week sometimes 6 and yesterday was the 3^rd time ive gone there and they didn’t make it. The crazy thing is the guy from Sunday morning actually said «okay see you tomorrow for breakfast bake» and Monday it’s him and no bake :/​
Consistency with business :)

The grocery prices here are good. Last week they were selling bottles of Santa Cruz Organic lemonade for $ 1!!! Those are usually at least $ 4. There’s also often a good selection of day-​old bakery items for cheap. Some of the deals here are better than the Grocery Outlet across the street. Fred Meyer also has household items and a large selection of makeup, more than most drugstores.
The parking lot is also a great source of entertainment. Last week we saw a possible car theft (woman got into a minivan and drove away with the car alarm going off the entire time) and a couple returning to their car to find that the entire front bumper area had fallen off the car!!! Fred Meyer employees stood around looking bemused throughout these interactions — can’t say I blame them.

The pharmacy here has a very fast, knowledgable, friendly and helpful staff that’s always a pleasure to deal with. Sandy is one of my favorites. if you’ve got a problem with you meds she’s all over it and gets it fixed and as an added bonus she’s got a great personality.
I’m thrilled to have found this pharmacy after having to deal with Walgreens staff. Once they said hello they pretty much told you everything they know and getting them to do anything like call your doctor and following up with anything was like getting teeth pulled. Bartells wasn’t much better and no walk up window or drive thru you have to walk into the store and wind your way to the far back corner of the store with no direct isles to take you there. At Fred Meyer you’ve got a choice walk up window or walk in the store.

I grew up going to this FM. Freddies are the big box stores I dont mind going to, because they carry a pretty darn good selection of whatever the bleep you may need. FM in particular, Ive noticed, has been slowly but surely expanding their selection of natural/​organic/​hippy items in the grocery, HABA, and household cleaning departments for some time now, and has the dairy/​soy free frozen treats consumers so frequently request now.
The deli and bakery selection is pretty similar to what you’d find in Kroger/​Safeway/​QFC– lots of fried food and prepackaged foods dumped out of their tubs and into their holding trays in the deli. You can get sandwiches made on request, but this particular deli doesnt seem to have the set up for it their competitors have, and a sandwich I ordered without ham or roast beef took 5 minutes without a line. But the lady was really sweet.

This place is HUGE! I love that I can pick up so many things from this place:

Ok, ok, I know what you’re saying…“isn’t that basically a Walmart?” I suppose so, but after living in the Capitol Hill area for so long, this store seems amazing. The prices are better than Fred Meyers cousin QFC, and so is the selection.
Next, the staff. They’re freakin’ great! They’re so helpful and friendly. I’ve never run across someone who was rude or obviously unhappy. That’s a big deal! This store seems to keep their employees happy, good job!

What can you say? Fred Meyer has a great selection of everything at Lake City. On both levels you’ll probably find everything you need. The bottom level has groceries, housewares, electronics, seasonal items, a deli and a coffee stand. A great selection of shoes, yes, even inexpensive house brands for about $ 30 in a good range of sizes (in the very back of the store, in the corner). The meats are good, the dairy is good, the veggies are good – not much bad to say about this store, although certain areas of the deli area are in desperate need of deep cleaning (have you seen underneath the hot serving pans when they remove them?).
I don’t shop here too much any more, though, because of no plastic bags. I always forget to bring my reusable bags INTO the store, because I go to the Safeway Kenmore now instead, but since Fred Meyer is right next to my house, it’s very convenient when I don’t feel like driving.

Frey Meyer has a little of everything going on. The things I get the best deals on here are the cleaning supplies — they’ve got a big selection and the prices are lower than a regular grocery store. They have a great selection of makeup and toiletries as well — again larger than a normal drugstore and prcies tend to be lower as well.
The grocery section is ok — the fresh produce area seems small. The lower floor also has housewares and decorating items, as well as tools and such. I’ve had good luck finding little things like switch plates and screws. If you have more involved hardware needs though I’d suggest Tweedy & Pop’s Ace Hardware across the street.
The upper level has clothes and shoes. The clothing selection is on par with Target and sometimes you can score a deal. I got a few long sleeved Tshirts for $ 6/​each a while back. The shoes and purses I have not had great experiences — I have a pair of shoes that are cute and very comfortable, but they are ripping at the upper seams after only a year. I got a small purse here and the strap broke after a couple of uses, so I’d not recommend those. Quality is not there.
This location is usually pretty busy but it you go towards the back of the lower parking lot there are almost always spots. They have an upper parking lot as well in the back.
