Fresh Air Bootcamp

I joined mid-​November, and have lost as much weight as I’ve lost in 6 months of WeightWatchers (and I love WeightWatchers, but really needed a consistent workout routine). Plus, I’ve been getting my muscles back. So exciting! This is such a great fitness program, and the instructors and participants make it easy to be there at 6 a.m., in the cold, dark Seattle fall. Across the board, everyone is incredibly friendly and inclusive. It’s not a bunch of brides trying to look good for their big day (which is great! this would be your ticket!); it’s mostly fit moms who are committed to long-​term health and fitness. I feel closer to my community, which is a hugely unexpected and positive consequence. I’ve been going 3 days a week at 6 a.m. at the Phinney Neighborhood Center parking lot, and some Saturdays at 8 a.m. at Golden Gardens.
And, really, this is good for any fitness level. I could barely keep up the first week, and I’ve come a long way in the past month. Each workout is different and challenging, and the hour flies by.

Amaz-​za-​zing! I love love love these ladeez! A great mini trail run, with some strength training as well this morning! Encouraging atmosphere that gets me moving and challenging myself each time I show up! Lovely, Lively, Like starting my days this way!

Great trainers, workouts, and venues. Love being outside and they always vary the routine so it never gets boring. I highly recommend it.

I have done this boot camp for several months and I always have a great time and leave feeling that I had a fun and thorough workout. These classes work all muscle groups and make sure you get your cardio in as well — it’s the whole package. Instructors are lively and fun and the hour flies by. The setting at Golden Gardens couldn’t be more beautiful. I highly recommend this class!

I’ve been going to these classes for almost a year and have seen quite a difference in my strength and endurance. Each class is different and the hour flies by. The instructors put together a great class that’s a mix of strength training and cardio using bands, weights, kettle bells, etc. The best part is if you are just getting started Ivonne and Andrea will help you modify. These classes are such a good value for your money and because they are small they will keep you motivated to keep coming back for more!

I love Fresh Air Fitness Boot Camp, is the best exercise and a good motivation for me to do. Thanks Ivonne and Andrea for the amazing job encouraging me to keep doing all the variety of strength that definitely the workout is the best challenge, fun and worth it at Golden garden. One session down, and may more to go in my future. I love the feeling of cameraderie at this boot camp. And I really love that they are mainly held outside. If you’ve ever done a workout in the rain, you realize it’s still way more invigorating than being indoors.
I’m excited to have found this spot, and am hopeful it will whip me back into shape.

Fresh Air Fitness Boot Camp is the best! Ivonne and crew are always coming up with creative ways to make the workouts challenging but also fun and never boring. Getting up early to go work out is never easy, but what keeps me coming back is the encouraging atmosphere and the energy I have all week from the fun outdoor workouts around Greenlake and Phinney Ridge.

Sherry & Alex with Fresh Air are fantastic trainers! They keep me motived and make me look forward to working out at 6am — even in the cold, dark days of October. They integrate a variety of challenging exercises interspersed with laughter and encouragement. I’ve lost weight and gained strength — and a lot of new friends. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
