Know what you’re in for when you come here because these are some priiiiiiiiiiiiicey goods. But if you’re looking for a gift for some real hip person in your life(or if you’re some real hip person yourself), then there’s plenty here for you. I only come here to look around and admire all the pretty things(barware, succulents, jewelry, bags) and to restock on my Herbivore Botanicals face stuff because they carry a good amount of that line here. The sales associates are all very nice and helpful, even though I only ever seem to buy bar soap and the occasional lip balm.

Such a great shop! Lots of really cool gift items and clothes. But mostly blown away by their awesome service. I bought a really great pocket knife and they shipped it to NY for me so I wouldn’t have to check my bag on the flight. Definitely make this a must-go when you’re in Seattle!

This is the kind of entrance into a boutique that feels like coming home, to your perfectly-decorated spare-no-expense future home. So Seattle. Artisan campy cool. Airplants abound.

I was probably in Glasswing for less than five minutes, but I was smitten right off the bat. I’ve been looking around for the perfect terrarium to complete my living room and I was about to give up hope… until I stepped into Glasswing and saw it right in front of me by their terrarium display. I kid you not — walked in, saw the display and asked the lady working there if I could take the terrarium home. I was on my way to a function, so she carefully wrapped everything in bubble wrap so that nothing would break. It got home safely without a scratch! Great service and amazing items. Love love love!

Maybe the best store in Seattle. Wonderful clothing, great accessories, and the store itself was pure Seattle. Loved the natural feel of the store. Would definitely return and will be purchasing more clothing on their online store.

I love this store. Their taste is on-point throughout the store from clothes to home goods. I’ve walked in out a few times without buying anything and they never seem to mind, but always find the right thing for you. I walked in yesterday, and finally took the plunge on a beautiful sling chair that was made by the folks who work there! Forest was helpful and kind as well. Can’t be happier.

Glasswing was a nice, chic clothing store we went to recently in the Capitol Hill area. They have some very nice men’s shirts as well as plants you can buy and arrange in glass pots to hang. They have some candles here which have magnificent scents to them. All of the merchandise is of good quality. There is a full sized mounted bear in the back of the store so if you have tunnel vision and run into it while walking around you might be in for a slight shock! Yikes! Really a nice store though!

An awesomely designed space in an awesome corridor of Cap Hill. Specializes in expertly curated artisan products that are unique and what I would describe as part hipster-chic, part curio. Here, you’ll find vintage sunglasses, soaps with gorgeous packaging, succulent plants, unique jewelry, and fancy publications. I love their dresses, paper goods, general browsability, and close proximity to Taylor Shellfish.

This is my favorite store ever. It has the best curation of any store I’ve ever been to. The menswear is absolutely amazing. They carry a Swedish brand of raincoats called stutterheim that are the best of the best. They also have great home goods, apothecary, and even a plant shop. The staff are all really nice and helpful. Definitely go here if you are in Seattle, You won’t regret it.

Glasswing is adorable! Very sweet store with curated selection of clothing, jewelry and stuff for the home. I bought a couple rings from local designers and a kick ass shower curtain from a Brooklyn designer. The staff is helpful but laid back and it’s just a cool space to hang out in. Northwest hip but not intimidating.

if you haven’t taken a visit to Glasswing yet(they’ve been open 2 weeks, people!), you’re doing yourself a disservice. Why? Because it is cuuuuuuuuute-pants! Delicious smelly candles! Awesome men’s clothing, locally designed! Fabulous furniture, by the fantastic Andy Whitcomb! A lovely staff! And a beautiful space to boot! Is this making you want to go there? I bloody well hope so! If you’re looking for gifts of a sort, and you don’t want to be bombarded by all the kitschy shit you see in other shops, GOHERE. Give the lovely people there your business — cuz it’s local!

Visited Melrose Market today to look for sweet, unique Christmas gifts for my family. I am on a tight budget, so that makes it hard to shop local sometimes, but Melrose Market usually has at least a couple of nice things that I can afford. On my way out, a new-to-me shop sign caught my eye: Glasswing. I had to check it out! It’s a very Capitol Hill store, that’s for sure. I say that lovingly and without judgment — I adore the aesthetic of bare wood, metal, and concrete. Filament bulbs abound. It smells like artisanal soy candles. That whole pseudo-rustic vibe really works for me, and Glasswing is all about that. Lots of well-made, beautiful things in this store. I had particular things in mind(and the aforementioned tight budget) so I didn’t walk out with much, but I coveted quite a few of their goods — small, delicate glass terrariums with wispy air plants inside; a sturdy pocketknife with wooden handle; thick, woolen blankets; mason jar cocktail shakers. Lots of things that are beautiful for beauty’s sake, and other things that are lovely and also utilitarian. Your hipster chic camping trip will be beautifully outfitted. They’re a pretty new shop, and still growing into themselves. Many items in the store have no price tags or stickers; at first I thought it was the kind of store where if you had to ask how much a thing was, it meant you couldn’t afford it, but that’s not actually the case at Glasswing.(True, some of their stuff is pricey, but I could afford most of it on a good day. And I like to pay more to support local shops and things that don’t fall apart after a few uses.) I overheard that they are just so new that they haven’t gotten around to putting stickers on everything. The staff is refreshingly engaged and effusive — they love the things they sell and they know a lot about them. They make good eye contact and give genuine smiles. I want to buy everything. I can’t wait to go back!
