Plenty of sticks and stones to treasure here! I usually take small walks with kids along these pathways. It has gravel and wood chips, but never has animal scat. You can hear the creek from a distance and take opportunities along the way to ask, «What is that?» and«Why?» questions. The plants are mostly indigenous and recognizable: strawberries, ferns, Alders, Maples. It has the feeling of a jungle or forest for young kids under 9 years old without the inconvenience of driving 40 miles away. The downside is that one of the maps for the area has graffiti on it, but that didn’t stop kids from being curious.
