This is the best barbershop experience I have had. MJ is an artist, and knows exactly what he is doing. If you show him what you want, he will deliver and then some. Super friendly, and incredibly talented. The price is astonishing for such a great barber. This is my new go-to place for a cut. No more 35 $ cuts with less talented people. GOHERE!

One of the best value for a haircut you can get on the ave. The main person, MJ i think is very professional and friendly. He works with you in cutting your hair and actually listens to what exactly you want, which in my experience is rare. At $ 15 for a haircut, it’s definitely a bargain!

Best barbershop experience I’ve had. MJ will make the look you want look even better, its a great price for both the haircut and any product if you need it. The only problem is that you might have a long wait since both times I’ve been there he has been the only one working. If they have more people working there at MJ’s quality, this would be the best barbershop on the ave.

MJ knows his stuff. Most barber shops will give you what you ask regardless of if you have the hair type to support it. MJ will work with you to get you looking fresh. He will not let you leave looking like a fool and if he does it’s because you didn’t take his advice. He really knows his stuff and won’t leave you disappointed. My go to barber for as long as I live in Seattle. Plus it’s 15 $…seriously!!! You get great service along with a consistent expectation of great hair cut. Do yourself a favor and go here instead of spending 30 $ before tips. For that price you can get a haircut AND a bowl of chipotle and STILL have money leftover.

Great cut. Listened to my requests and made good suggestions. Will be returning. A regular mens cut is $ 15.

This place is the most slept on barbershop in Seattle. There is only one barber working. He’s an Arabic guy, name’s MJ. Excellent barber; one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. At only $ 15, service was friendly and welcoming, he kept up a good conversation, and gave me periodic updates with what he’s doing with my hair. He told me he used to work in Bellevue at a hair salon that charged around $ 60 per haircut, but since he goes to school, location mattered to him. You’re getting an amazing value here!!! I told him I wanted it short, and he acted as a hair consultant(«you probably don’t want a buzz cut, but I’ll leave enough hair on top to cover»). In the end, he gave my sideburns a nice gradient into the top of my head. He finished off my cut by using a straight razor to remove any remaining hair around my head, face, and neck. He directed me to use the nearby sink to rinse away any remaining hair on my head. More salons need to include this option, because otherwise I just become the ShedMaster® He was the only barber in the shop though, and I waited for about three people to finish before I got up, but it was well worth the wait. It’s a relatively new place, and it seems like they’re still hiring. Overall, it was better than the haircuts that I’ve received at more expensive hair salons nearby(Ten Pachi, Shear Madness). 5

The place looked new, so I thought I would give it a try and it was worth it! I got a great haircut, and the owner was very friendly and accomodating. Will definitely come back again.
