I have been to this restaurant a few times over the past couple of years and have never thought it was bad but today was a whole different story. 1. I was overcharged. $ 12 for a lunch special? 2. The veggies were so oily they were dripping. 3. The«spicy» chicken teriyaki was not spicy at all. 4. I called the restaurant a few minutes before they were open and they said to call back after 11 which was fine. I called 3 times with no answer. 5. There was a long black hair in my food. That was the last time I will eat there. I’d rather drive the few extra minutes to a better teriyaki restaurant.

Really nice guy who owns the place. Best teriyaki I’ve had, the spicy chicken is awesome. The food is what matters the most at any restaraunt for me so I give it 5 stars based on just that

I just moved into the neighborhood and was excited to have a teriyaki place within walking distance… But it seems as if I will have to travel much father for good teriyaki than my backyard. At first glance, the prices see average. Then when you get your food, you instantly realize the portions are much smaller and of lesser quality than many other places. I ordered the spicy chicken bento box. I received 4 very sad and fake California rolls, rice, and the spicy chicken. Hardly what one would call a box. I would have expected the salad and gyozas to be included as that has been standard all over Seattle… Especially since I paid $ 12(prior to tip). The spicy teriyaki had good flavor, but the chicken was full of tendons and was dry and over cooked. The rice was full of starch– I don’t think they rinsed the rice like traditionally done. The rolls were worse than available at QFC. I would not recommend. The only reason this gets two stars is because there was a UEFA game playing while I ate.

Locations great, food… not so much. It was edible, but I’ve had much better tasting teriyaki chicken for a similar if not cheaper price.

Craving some teriyaki so we stopped here for dinner. Convenient location. Super sketchy entrance if you come up from the parking lot. There was a man at the counter who greeted us warmly but then walked away and didn’t come back for quite some time. We almost left, but held out because we really wanted teriyaki. When he finally came back, we ordered and everything we wanted he said they were out of– chicken, gyoza, beef, etc., etc. So we settled on the pork teriyaki to go. The food was terrible! Everything was so salty we couldn’t eat more than a couple bites and ended up throwing it all away.

The sketchy-looking Teriyaki place with surprisingly good food is now just the Teriyaki place with good food! That building needed some serious TLC, and it looks great with it’s new paint job! The yakisoba there is great, with plenty of tasty vegetables and nice, big pieces of tender chicken. The service could be a little better — they come off as a little unfriendly sometimes, but overall, the food makes up for it. I have had trouble sometimes where too much oil has been left in the yakisoba, but for all the times I’ve eaten there, I’ve been satisfied more often than not.

I’d give his place a 3.5. Food is great if you are in a hurry and don’t want to cook. ‘Spicy chicken’ wasn’t spicy.

It’s a decent amount of food at a good price. The salad was very basic(iceberg lettuce and dressing) and the chicken teriyaki was pretty much what you’d expect(good but nothing extraordinary).

Spicy chicken is great. Never have had I Love Bento, even though it’s less than a block away from where I love. Super fast and super friendly. Will definitely be back again.

*Solid! Nice little char on the chicken, love the iceburg lettuce with the runny white mystery dressing *Rice was pretty goopy *It’s quintessential seattle yaki!

Good local teriyaki. It serves its purpose in both being conveniently located and serving food I wish to eat. I wish they weren’t close half the times I show up to eat there though. Basically, lunch only.

The food is ok, not great. If it weren’t so convenient, I wouldn’t bother going. The service is unfriendly or I would be more forgiving of the food. The man who has taken my order both times I came here acted like I was disturbing him by coming into his restaurant.

Decent food. Worth 3.5 stars really. In restaurant dining is cold and uninviting.

The building looks like it’s about to fall down, and it’s usually a bit cold in here, but what’s important is the food. It’s good. It’s not out of this world, but it’s teriyaki – it’s not supposed to be! I’ve had the katsu, the chicken teriyaki, the tempura, and the salmon teriyaki. All were good, but especially the salmon. I wouldn’t travel from out of the neighborhood, but if you live or work anywhere near here, I’d recommend it.

A good takeaway option… delish chicken teriyaki. Dining ambience so so.

I had a hankering for some fried rice. so I stopped by here and grabbed some. I orders some fried rice with chicken from a very frazzled old man. The rise was mushy and the chicken was way over cooked the whole thing was very bland. The fried rice contained –rice, chicken, and canned peas and carrots. Next time I have a craving for fried rice I will skio this place and just go to the Safeway deli.

Oh, I Love Bento, The spicy chicken was bland. Please don’t charge eight bucks! Really… it’s a shame when I had been unknowingly spoiled with the wonderful teriyaki that comes from Ichiro Sushi back in my old neighborhood. Fantastic sauce, good amount of rice, salad dressing on the side. How could one mess that up? Well at this place, they found a way. Though it was my first visit, I will certainly have to give some of the other items a try in the chance that they surpass the quality of the spicy chicken teriykai. Quite the shame if that is not the case, as being the only teriyaki joint nearby — I have my hopes up high.

I must admit, I was a lil turned off by the look of the place. It’s pretty rickety looking inside, especially walking up the stairs from the back parking lot. The food, it’s not bad. Teriyaki sauce is pretty good, but definitely not my favorite. I like the chicken bowl better than the regular portion of chicken teriyaki, because the sauce tends to be a little thicker. I like my thick teriyaki sauce! We come here quite often since it is close to our home and it’s my husbands fave teriyaki joint(he has been going there for about 15 years). He says he gives this place a 5. He thinks their spicy chicken is where it’s at. And the salad to him is the best salad out of all the teriyaki places.(I have no opinion on this matter because I don’t like salad). Overall, decent teriyaki… not mind blowing-fantastic but it does the job.

I’ve been here a few times– always mediorce teriyaki joint– until last night– I got take out– to woof down due to starvation and this place delivered! The chicken was perfect, the gyoza were ok and the rice was ok– but the chicken was perfect– size, taste, amount of sauce– no gross fatty pieces– it was darn good. Salad was there to look pretty because it didn’t taste good at all(wilty lettuce and icky sauce) but the chicken made up for it. I might have a new regular teriyaki place.
