I’ve used In-​Season catering for a couple work events for 20 – 30 people. The events have been brunch and the food is absolutely wonderful. I appreciate how fresh everything is and just made from scratch and baked. Andre is so accommodating to a variety of allergies, which we greatly appreciate.
I highly recommend them for an event that is small or big. They were telling me they can work with up to 150 people so I will try a bigger event next time.

I hired In-​Season catering for my engagement party which was two days ago. Wow! I was blown away by how great of a job they did! Andre was so easy going, communicative and helpful. He updated the menu for our party at least 3 times for me when I changed my mind or had edits. Our event venue was The Virginia Five which is an old ship with limited kitchen/​galley space and Andre and his staff made it work without a single issue. During the party and after, all my guests were raving about how good the food was. Andre worked with my budget and helped me create the magical engagement party that I had hoped for. I cannot recommend In-​Season catering enough!

Type of event: small thank you event with a tight budget and tight turn around time. We found In-​Season through Google. I called Andre and asked for references (due to lack of Unilocal reviews) and all 4 of his references returned my call with glowing results. I became hungry just listening to them!
Food: light-​medium appetizers for 25 folks. Beautiful presentation, substantial amounts, and wonderful flavors (ask for the curried chicken salad in lettuce cups).
Service: Andre gave me menu advice (for an portion he wasn’t even catering), arrived on time (even early), and was friendly and professional. He didn’t charge me a deposit for the service dishes and trusted me to return them.
Do not let the lack of Unilocal reviews stop you from using Andre and In-​Season Catering. I am glad I took a risk… you will be too!

Mid-​Thanksgiving week. You have plans with your family to go out and have a nice dinner at your traditional spot. Then suddenly, without warning, someone gets hurt. They can’t get around anymore. They have to spend the next few week lying down. What would you do? Do you try to last minute put together a Thanksgiving Day feast yourself and hope for the best? Maybe, but birds are frozen, and grocery stores are crowded and out of a lot of stuff! It would take a miracle. That is what we found in Eat in Season.
Eat in Season is a catering company here in Seattle, and it does food right. On very short notice (only a couple of days), we were able to order Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family. Now at the time, I admit, I was thinking, «This is a really unlucky Thanksgiving, let’s just do whatever. It’s really about being with family anyway.» And that’s true. Really. No Seriously! But, when the food is good too, that is a huge bonus. And the food was great!
Here’s the lay of the table:
Turkey — The turkey was moist and juicy even after reheating in the oven. There was light and dark meat all carved and ready to go. Only the drumsticks and wings were whole (as the pilgrims intended, or would have I’m sure if they had had turkey for Thanksgiving in stead of venison). Two thumbs way up for the bird.
Stuffing — There were two kind of stuffing. One was a traditional bread stuffing. Soft and chewy at the same time, with plenty of that celery flavor that says holiday! The other was a sourdough and wild rice stuffing. There was a note included with the mean that said the wild rice had come out a bit crunchy and apologized. I don’t know why. The rice was a little crunchy, but it tasted great and I liked the texture with the soft sourdough bread. A happy accident I suppose. Okay, stuffing great!
Mashed Potatoes — What can I say? These were mashed potatoes. I think they had some sour cream mixed in which gave them a nice twang. Maybe it was yogurt or buttermilk, but whatever, they were good. A little butter or gravy and you are all set. Spuds, a winner!
Gravy — Okay, since I brought it up with the potatoes, how about that gravy. It was a nice traditional turkey gravy. Thick and rich. you could tell it was real, because before you reheated it it have that gelatin look to it. If you don’t know what I mean, I feel bad for you, and urge you to stop using gravy packets! If you do know what I’m talking about, then you know it means real gravy, and good gravy! If I had any criticism about the gravy, it would be that I wanted more. But then I always want more gravy. That’s how I know I’m alive!
Yams — These yams were cooked to perfection. they had good texture and were not covered in burn marshmallow nonsense. If you like marshmallows on your yams, well I guess you could add some in the oven, but you’d be ruining a gem of a dish. There were pecans in the yams and there were roasted with something sweet, maybe maple syrup? What ever it was, it was really good. Not sickeningly sweet., and with a texture that reminded you that you were eating yams! A+ for tuber number 2.
Vegetable — Brussel Sprouts braised in balsamic vinegar. A neo-​traditional dish done well. Not a fan of the sprout, well then just have some of the steamed vegetable medley that also came with it. Carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, you know the usual suspects. Well seasoned with just a little crunch still there. Let’s just say we ate out vegetables.
Cranberry Sauce — You have to have this right? It’s not Thanksgiving without it! This version has apple in it. it made for a really clean crisp tasting cran-​sauce. I would describe it as a great palate cleanser too. It was not too tart, not too sweet, and a great partner for anything else on the plate. You know … what cranberry sauce ought to be.
Pie Time — We had two pies. One was a pumpkin pie. Really good. The texture of the pumpkin really came through and it wasn’t over sweetened or spiced. The crust was crisp and flaky, not an easy thing to pull off, and it went really well with the apple pie too. Yep to read right, apple pie too. This pie had a tender, flaky crust and apples with just a hint of bite left in them. It wasn’t soggy at all, even after travelling around in a van. There was even whipped cream to go with them!
So there you go. A complete Thanksgiving meal. Delivered to our home, with care and well wishes. It just took a little reheating, and it was good as homemade. If you haven’t done much Turkey-​day cooking, it might be even better.
It was a great way to spend Thanksgiving, and it couldn’t have been easie … Oh wait, the rolls! There were rolls! How could I forget. In the past, my mom has made the Thanksgiving rolls, and she is super critical of other people’s rolls. She said that these were almost as good as hers, which means they were fantastic. They even came with an herb butter.
