the overall experience is ok. I kinda think the price was a little expensive. 230 for the first visit without herb. herb is 50 per week. if you buy their package will be better. so i do 500 for 5times. Really do not know what the result will be, i will keep on update my review. After one week with the herb, be honest, I did not feel difference. left abdomen feels even more hurting. before it only hurt at night. now it hurt in days. May be it is not a good choice for internal problems. What worse is they offer new patient coupon at their website. However, when I first come in and ask for new patient special, I told them i want to try once and then decide whether to keep on going, they hide me from that. which makes me spend 3 times more. If i did not ask, u do not need to tell me. But if I asked, I feel the clinic should tell me. I also found this clinic has very good deal of coupon over living social. If u want to try as me, go for coupon before your visit. The reason I still give 3 star is they give refund 400.

This is the worst experience I’ve had with a doctor to date. I’ve been going to acupuncturists for several years now. My insurance benefits had run out so I thought I’d try a Livingsocial deal. I won’t do that again. Dr. Men used hard sell and scare tactics to try to get me to purchase a month’s supply of Chinese herbs in the form of tea at $ 50.00 per week! I’ve never heard of Chinese herbs or tea that I take 3 teaspoons 3 times per day costing any $ 50 per week. When I told him I would think about it, he told me not to blame him if I got into a car accident or had a heart attack and died.(Guilt tactic.) He looked at one thing on my intake form and decided what was wrong with me although he didn’t inquire about any other major issues that have affected me. I don’t say this lightly, the man is a quack. The equivalent of a snake oil salesman. I wouldn’t trust him with my health in anyway shape or form. His bedside manner is atrocious and to top it off, he had halitosis. Who wants a healthcare practitioner with bad breath working on you? I was so angry and upset that I let this man put needles in me, I couldn’t sleep last night. The experience was upsetting to the point I felt violated. He brought a woman he was training into the room without asking me if it was ok with me. He kept putting needles into me trying to get the pain in my wrist to go away. He asked this woman what area she’d put a needle in «for 100% reduction of pain». What am I? A pincushion game board? When they left the room and told me to «take a nap» the music was so loud, who could rest? The electrical impulses attached to the needles were so uncomfortable, I had to call him back in to remove them. This I’ve never had to do in an acupuncture appointment. The Livingsocial deal I purchased was for three sessions. I won’t be going back even though there’s another acupuncturist in the office I could go see. I’ll try to get a partial refund. I’m considering contacting the WA State acupuncture board to let them know about this man’s tactics. I’m under the care of several well respected healthcare practitioners for other issues, I wanted relief from physical discomfort in my wrist. This, he said was due to heart issues. I’ve not had one other healthcare practitioner say this to me and they’re from different disciplines, allopathic to alternative. I believe you can go to someone who might find something no one else has, but this wasn’t brilliance staring me in the face, this wasn’t a caring individual who wanted the best for my health. This was a man who, imo, put a deal in Livingsocial and Groupon to lure people in, use scare tactics to up-sell them and make money. It was the most disgusting experience I’ve had to date with any healthcare practitioner I’ve seen.

This was my first visit to this office. I was welcomed by a friendly front staff while filling out the paperwork necessary for my treatment. once I was taking back to me with the acupuncturist she was very thorough and detailed in her explanation of what was going to be taking part. during the entire process she asked if I was relaxed and if the procedure seem to be going well. we discussed the reasons why I was going in to seek acupuncture. my main objective was to help out with sleep and chronic pain in my joints. after a few minutes of having the acupuncture needles were inserted I began to feel some relief in my hands were there was some pain. once the doctor left the room quiet music was played and it was left to relax for 45 minutes while the acupuncture took effect. I had a follow up appointment the next week and discuss with her how I felt that it had been going and she responded with trying a few different techniques to help out. I would recommend their first time getting acupuncture as their very thorough and explaining how the body works through acupuncture

I was at the taste of Edmonds when I talked to the gal at the booth and I was very impressed. I went to the office and have never been disappointed, I have a lot of issues they are working on, menopause, back pain, weight, bad circulation. I have been going for 7 weeks and I feel great!!!

My grandma is having a really bad shoulder pain for about a year now and no matter what we do it didn’t seem to help her reduce the pain level. When I mentioned this to a friend of mine she suggest that we should go to integrated oriental medicine to see an acupuncturist for the treatment. Eveyone there is really nice and friendly, during our first treatment session Courtney did a great job of explaining the process in detail and besides from using Accupunture to help her relieve the pain they also suggest her taking chinese herb medicine. This is a great place to go to and I would highly recommend this place.

I’ve tried many different acupuncturists in the Puget Sound area but none with the symptom relief and really curative nature of the treatments. I’ve had progressive knee pain I thought was leading to more surgery but was shockingly gone when I got back on my bike for another 140+ miles in 2 days. Other symptoms of other issues have improved too. Always on time which is also appreciated :)

Over the past year, I have visited both of IOM’s offices(in Northgate and Bellevue) and seen both Dr. Men and Courtney Zeller. The usual session is one hour, although the initial intake was a bit longer and comprehensive — including a spinal analysis and interview. Both practitioners are very friendly and explain the process and pin points with relation to the nature of your issues. I am a firm believer in the benefits of Chinese medicine and acupuncture — especially for the relief of muscle strain, stress, emotional distress, myalgia, and digestive issues. I saw Courtney most often(as she works primarily out of the Northgate office, which is more convenient to me). She is a graduate of Bastyr and continues their practice of really attending to the needs of her patient and listening. She even diagnosed a skin ailment that my physician could not identify! Sometimes they use electricity along with the needles, which was a bit much for me, although Dr. Men recommended it. The office could use some extra insulation for noise control, but other than that I always felt relaxed and reinvigorated after every visit.

I am happy to recommend Integrated Oriental Medicine with five stars. The treatments I have received from Dr. Men and Courtney Zeller have reduced significantly the menopausal symptoms I had been experiencing. Relatively painless, most definitely beneficial, they have minimized the hot flashes that at times compromised my ability to do my job. From the initial call to schedule an appointment, handling insurance to generating well being — it works. k.p.

I have never had acupuncture before at the time I had seen Dr. Min, and have since been to a different acupuncturist(through Groupon) that was not very good, so I have a couple of datapoints for comparison. I had a bit of a mixed experience. The first time I met Dr. Min, I had terrible back pain, and with a few needle pokes, he was able to relieve it(not completely pain free, but much better than before). I went back for an actual one hour session, and found less relieve(possibly because I don’t have as much pain). If my insurance covered non-traditional medicine, I might have been tempted to continue, but alas, it does not and I didn’t go back for more. I do think I would recommend Dr. Min… he does seem to know his acupuncture points, although I am probably not the best judge since my exposure to eastern medicine is so limited.
