I just removed myself from this school as it is NOT worth the dollars it takes to get a piece of paper that most reputable business don’t take seriously. I was enrolled for 6 – 7 terms and while my core class teachers were mostly incredible, when the school starts hiring students who JUST graduated and have no real working industry knowledge… you know they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel. In my time there, 4 excellent teachers were run off, the school changed names, supplies from one term to the next were scaled down for THE SAME courses, sewing machines were neglected, we moved from 10 week courses to 5 week course with the same output of homework expected. Today I received confirmation from two sources that when I would step out of class, the newbie teacher would take those opportunities to belittle and poke fun at me. Going to the administration was of no use as I have over an hours worth of audio tape where the President is telling me that my perception is not accurate… of him badgering me while I am in tears trying to explain why I feel intimidated by his office and power… all the while he’s still telling me I’m incorrect, and not in a nice way. No, stay away from this school. Head to a legitimate 4 or 2 year school with REAL WORLD accreditation that will transfer to other state or community colleges, when you want to further your education. Career Education Corporation owns BOTH IADT & SB, so why the move??? Makes me wonder and it will you too if you do your homework on the lawsuits and missteps that BOTH schools are accused of. Glad I didn’t take out student loans for this shyster of an institution but sad I wasted Post 911 and cash on this place. It’s a year and a half of my life I will ever get back. DO YOUR HOMEWORK on these FOR PROFIT schools! This is not based on bad grades as I was an honors student, I just tired of the lies, brown nosing and broken promises that the upper administration gave out constantly.

Not a lot to say. I had an interview here but didn’t get a job. It looked like they had some great programs and it would be worth checking out if they offer what you are looking for.

I have not attended this school. However, I have dealt with MANY of the students and faculty. Monir, the Fashion Design Program Chair, is a lovely and caring woman that has created some amazing show such as the Imagine Fashion Show (
) and Project Red Dress (
).
She has been great to work with and has helped her students become confident, and successful!
Having never attended, but seeing the fun and success of the students and the shows that I have participated should speak volumes about this place and its curriculum.
