Ivy Ridge

After moving out of this place and dealing with the ridiculous charges, and then realizing how much you are paying for how little you are getting in comparison with other apartments, I am truly disappointed that I wasted almost two years living here. My experience went downhill continuously. At first, I recommended this place to everyone. Six people actually ended up moving in because I mentioned it to them (of course I never got the referral money that Ivy ridge promises.) By the end of my time living here, I was truly sick of the management (or lack thereof) and the attitude of the office staff. If you’re in a pinch, sure, give it a shot, but I would look elsewhere if at all possible and save yourself the trouble that comes with this unkempt apartment complex.

Poor management, overcharged move out expenses. The management was not honest to take responsibility of receiving lease document.

This place would have gotten 4 stars from me all the way up until they charged me for move out expenses. $ 100 charged against me for «basic cleaning”(!) What was the point of me even vacuuming up the carpets and cleaning the bathroom?! $ 90 for power carpet cleaning?! GTFO of here man. $ 40 for 2 bags of trash out. I left behind unused rolls of napkins and toilet paper as a gift for the next person, you jerks. $ 10 for touch up paint. Fine, whatever. So the deposit I had to drop was $ 400. They took $ 200 right off the bat as a non refundable «administration charge.» Not unheard of, but whatever. I just wanted to point that out because my final charge for everything was $ 240! I actually OWED them $ 40 after they took the rest of my deposit! Don’t believe me? You think I left that place an absolute pig sty and came on Unilocal to rant? Here is a picture I took the day before I left. You be the judge. On the day I left, I threw out the mattress and took everything else you see in the picture with me. Oh! and like 3 weeks before, I was given a notice that they were gonna do an inspection on my place. I wasn’t there for it but when I came back, I got no feedback on my clean up job. I guess it’s my fault for assuming I was okay. But still, fuck you guys.
What makes me the most upset was that my stay here was actually enjoyable. Yeah, you live near the frat houses. Yeah, they are as loud as you would stereotypically perceive them. But close your windows and the noise is reduced significantly. The laundry room was tiny and only had two washer and dryers but that wasn’t too big of a deal. Yeah, your car is pretty much fucked if you park outside because those drunk kids will hit and run like it’s nobody’s business. But pay the extra $ 65 bucks a month and you can park underground.

do much about it because you’ll be gone and they have your banking info…

Ivy Ridge is definitely better than the current average review. I think the management has improved greatly since I moved in as well, Alvaro was great and the new staff are really helpful and flexible as well. I’ve never really had any major problems here in the last year and a half, and the studio rates are incredibly affordable compared to all the new «luxury student living» apartments (because that’s what the U District needs, apparently).
Disturbances are rare, aside from the nearby frat houses, and in the studio congregate, you get a full sized fridge in your room and a private bathroom, plus the community kitchens are always kept clean and are a great size for how often they are used.
I really would recommend Ivy Ridge for those with a mid-​range budget, don’t let the average rating dissuade you.

They have made a lot of improvements from when I’ve moved in. So far my biggest complaint is that the office does not accept packages that do not require a signature. This means that I have had to go to the post office many times to pick up items. Although with their new system you can receive a text or an email informing you that you have received a package. When you pick up your packages you have to sign for it. It gets old but its nice to know that my packages are safe. Everyone in the office is very helpful and doesn’t get mad if you lock yourself out. It also seems as though their sewage provider does not calculate water usage correctly. Both roommate and I left for winter break her, almost a full month and me about two weeks but rarely at the apt. For some reason our sewage bill was only a few dollars different. These are the only two complaints I have about this complex apart from the price. This is a great place to live in the U-​District. Alvaro has done a great job fixing this place up.

Peter must be trying to get a free months rent! This place is horrible! I lived there 3 years just because of the proximity to campus, my first year management was good. This past year management has gone to shit. I read a few about them talking down to you, I absolutely agree. They give you attitude when you go pick up boxes, it’s their job! My assigned parking spot was given to someone else a couple of times which is fine, I would just park else no big deal but then I’d get a notice warning over getting towed.
In the end, the only good thing about Ivy Ridge is its proximity to campus. Everyone complaining over the noise, what’d you expect when your neighbors are frat houses?

NEVER NEVER NEVER live there!!! The management is the worst I have ever seen. Once a theft tried to get into my room, I called police and got the report. Then, they promised me to transfer to another apt. and asked for another 400 deposit for holding the apt. They told me if I cancelled I would get these 400 back. Then I cancelled it three days later and did not even sign the application. The bitch in the office said they wouldn’t give me the money back because there’s no paper work! and they asked for 1000 for the first apt cleaning because I forgot to move the bed out!!! WTF!!! I believe the bitch there just hate this world, because no one ever want to fuck her!!!

I think I clean it all and everything is not broken but I want to tell the real thing is the material is very cheap
Also the share kitchen is too dirty smelly
And the manager and management team is very bad
They are terrible when I just wanna check for mail but I couldn’t unlock the mail box though cuz they gave me the wrong key!!! What the ***
And if someone looking for the new place to live, this wont be your choice
Btw before I move in the manager (a guy) he told me they will set up for the Internet wifi but ! I lived there 6 month until I moved out they didn’t have a free Internet at all!
I want to tell their boss that the way how did they work.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. This is literally the worst management ever. They will raise rent on you as often as possible and totally fuck you on the utilities. We try consciously to conserve and they just flat out lied to us on how much utilities would cost.

This is the worst place to live.
The apartments are seemingly nice but in all reality, they are cheaply made, shoddy materials and shoddier (HA) workmanship.
The management is awful; every time I went to ask for something, I was talked down to like a child. Not to mention it’s run by bitchy college girls. (wtf.)
Parking costs about $ 100 a month, and you pay w/​s/​g plus electricity. So I suppose if you’re willing to hold your ankles for Ivy Ridge, move in! It’s quite possibly the biggest rip-​off in the U-​district or Seattle for that matter.
Come to think of it, it doesn’t even deserve that one star.
