Have been a lover of gumbo for many years and this place serves the best I’ve had. My wife and I have been going there for years… never have been disappointed. So glad they have reopened. Plus, they’re great folks!

We came here after a chilly outing at Seward Park and it proved to be the perfect choice! The catfish is light, crispy and mild. No overwhelming fishy taste or oiliness. I’m not often a big fan of hushpuppies — they tend to have all the flavor of breaded, fried sawdust — but we ordered them after reading Unilocal reviews. I’m glad we did! They’re flavorful and crispy, perfect dipped in tartar sauce. The collards have a bit of spice to them, and the corn muffins proved to be our toddler’s favorite part of the meal. My husband’s already been back without me(grrrr!!) But I have the feeling we’ll all be back here often. The only thing that would make it better is if they served fresh peach pie or cobbler.

Catfish is really good!!! Seasoned well! And southern girl approved. I came with friends today when we came to visit. I’m originally from Florida. Definitely worth it to come check out!

Went to Jackson’s Catfish Corner and I thought the food was good! I had fried prawns and they were absolutely perfection. The fries were delicious, I was at my apartment just wishing I had ordered and extra side! The employees are friendly and get you taken care of as well. It’s nice to see Catfish Corner back up and running, but the location is kind of weird. They share a lot with a detailing spot? At least thats what I think it was when cars where getting sprayed clean at 7pm. It was a little inconvenient to try and find a spot that wasn’t strewn with hoses so we just parked over one(sorry!) But I don’t think the parking lot will really deter me much at all from going back. Inside the restaurant there was very little seating, aside from a bar with stools. There was a lot of space but no tables to fill it. It was also very grimy in very visible places. I’m not a germaphobe but things like that scare me a bit. I’ve gone to Catfish Corner for a long long time, so I trust that the kitchen does not show what we may see on the outside, but sheesh! If you’re looking for some good fried food, this might be the place for you. Call ahead, avoid the line to order and the line to wait. Then enjoy!

While driving to Seward Park to for a run, my wife spotted the sign for Catfish Corner. Instead of going on that run, we stopped in and got a pound of the most incredible and perfectly cooked fried catfish I have ever had. We ordered the pound of fried catfish, fries, collared greens and hush puppies at the suggestion of the super-nice girl at the counter, and while it ended up being too much for the two of us, but the leftover catfish was saved for some future catfish tacos! I cannot stress enough how perfect this catfish was. Fried to order, piping hot, wearing the corn meal breading like a glove. The only way I can describe it is… light? I realize this sounds strange, as it is a deep fried bottom feeder… but was almost as though there was a thin layer of air between the perfectly seasoned breading and the perfectly flaky fish. Not a single part of the breading was soggy, and the portions were cut to the perfect size. These guys have perfected the art of frying catfish. I keep using the word«perfect»…because that is the only way to describe it. The hush puppies were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, the crinkle cut fries were seasoned, the collared greens(get a small, the large could feed four!) were some of the best I’ve had, and were almost addicting, and the hot sauce and in-house tartar sauce complimented everything… well…perfectly. This will be a once-a-monther for us, that’s for sure. Wednesdays is their gumbo special. but only Wednesdays. I’ll be back. Oh, and that sweet tea!!!

I went in after a 13+ hour day hungry and punchy. Terrell took care of my «special» order that is not on the menu. Enjoyed dinner immensely! Thank you Catfish Corner Team!!!

Had the catfish and hush puppies at a stall at the central district block party. The fish was light and not greasy at all. The sauce to dip the hush puppies in was ridiculously tasty too. Can’t wait to go again!

Amazing! It’s better than the original Catfish Corner on 27th. The catfish has been perfectly seasoned and cooked the four times we’ve gotten it. The sides have all been very good as well. I wish the had some kind of deserts, but that doesn’t take away from the experience.

Their fish is delicious! Had some yesterday, and will be back for more soon. The spicy sauce was so good, it reminded me of the chicken wing sauce. Which I love. Their tartar sauce is home made… sooo yummy.

Stopped in for Seattle’s best catfish! Missed the deliciously juicy fried catfish and red snapper so decided to check it out. The location is off the beaten path and a little further out than the previous shop but it is worth the drive. They share the parking lot with a car detailing business so you can get your car shining while enjoying some food. Please note — they open at 11:30a and its best to get there right at opening because it gets busy! We tried a little bit of it all and it was all good. The catfish was the right about of cornmeal and juicy on the inside, the red snapper was a little thin so the edges were overdone but still good, and the prawns were spot on! You have to love the tarter sauce and ask for some hot sauce to add some heat. Check it out!

Some of the best food I’ve eaten in Seattle – so good I bought a jar of their tartar sauce to bring home with me and I’m now eating it by spoonfuls. Really nice people too!
